CHAPTER 24 Confession

Nay continued to say Sam's name, crying hysterically until he collapsed together. They were taken to the nearest hospital.

Nay began to open his eyes, the first sight that was seen was a white roof and the smell of disinfectant was clearly smelled, just beginning to realize that he was in the hospital. Thinking of Sam, he immediately tried to get up but his head was still dizzy, After that the door of the room opened.

“You're aware, Nayna?” ask Bian.

“Bian.., where's Sam?” ask Nay back.

“If you're better, I'll take you to Sam's place!”

“Why are you here?” ask Nay.

“I contacted Sam but who picked up his phone from the hospital then I came straight here."

“What time is it now?” ask Nay while trying to sit down.

“It's only five in the morning, take a break! you get some stitches on your forehead.”

“My injuries aren't severe! but what about Sam? He got two stabs!”

“I'll take you, but not now restore yourself first.”

Nay finally relented and returned to the bed. At exactly eight in the morning Nay was awake and there was already Bian waiting in Nay's room.

“You're up?” ask Nay.

“Yes, take me to Sam”

“You clean your face first?”

Nay simply nodded and began to stand towards the sink.

“Let me help,” said Bian while holding Nay.

After washing his face, Bian instead of driving Nay to Sam's place but instead thrust food in front of Nay.

“I'm not hungry, I want to meet Sam!” Nay refuses Bian's food.

“Eat first, you need a lot of energy before you cry again!” bian said calmly.

“Crying? What happened to Sam?” Nay started to mess up, his tears were already almost dripping.”

“Nothing, already eat first!” bian said with a bit of nervousness.

Nay looks suspicious to Bian but he still obediently eats his food, his mind starts to mess up in fear of bad things happening to Sam.

“It's over, quickly take me to Sam's place!” nay said as he pointed at his empty plate, he ate very hurriedly.

Bian and Nay walk side by side, Nay is very nervous during the trip to Sam's room, really feeling scared to lose Sam. At last, it was at Sam's doorstep.

“This is the room, I hope you prepare yourself not to be too weak,” said Bian.

Nay's face looked pale but he ventured to open the room, stepped closer to Sam, there was a connected infusion hose in his hand but no other medical device attached to his body.

“Sam,” call Nay.

“Samudra, are you asleep?” nay asked, but there was no answer.

“He won't open his eyes but I think he can hear your voice, hopefully by hearing your voice he can wake up,” explained Bian.

“What does it mean?” nay asked confused.

“She's in a coma!”

“A .. pa!” nay said nervously, tears began to wet her cheeks.

“He's only a temporary coma right? But how did he get into a coma? Was his head pierced or bumped?” a series of questions were thrown by Nay in an open manner and he looked at Sam, there was no bandage on his forehead or his head just looks like Sam was sleeping.

“Doctors say only a miracle can wake him, in Sam's head there is no puncture wound, but because the wound in his stomach causes the nerve to the brain damaged!” Bian tried to explain.

Nay listens to Bian's explanation but finds it hard for him to believe that the stab wound caused brain damage.

“Actually Sam was aware when you were still unconscious but only briefly and then coma again.”

“So aware?”

Then Bian continued his story, “He called your name on, Nayna Nayna Nayna!” bian said in a sad tone.

“He hardly ever calls me Nayna!" Nay added doubt to his heart.

Sam and Bian did agree to prick Nay, the puncture wound in the stomach and on the shoulder was not too deep and only needed a few stitches.
