I just arrived at the airport. Two days in the city of people, it felt so long when the heart was already adrift with two beloved figures who were waiting for me at home.
As usual, I always parked my car here, so that my return would be easier. After passing photo sessions and short interviews from various media crews, I decided to split from my friends.
Drove a car and split the city streets in the afternoon. This is Sunday, it is only natural that there are so many vehicles that mill around the streets. Surely they are ending the weekend, or there are some of them are also still busy scavenging the rupiah coffers as tireless hard workers.
Before arriving home, I took the time to stop by a fairly well-known cake shop in this city. Because I was in too much of a hurry to return, I forgot to just buy a hand for the wife.
Without lingering any longer, I went straight inside, and observed one by one the cakes with different flavors and shapes displayed in the display case. Lighting techniques and the installation of mirrors behind the cake, add to the aesthetic impression and a very high selling value. This technique makes buyers feel tempted to immediately taste and scoop all the menus they have served behind the transparent glass.
I grabbed one box that was available on the table, and one special clasp. Of the many types of cakes, there is only one that attracts my attention and successfully makes me swallow saliva many times.
One print red velvet, with a cheese grater so rich, and also Vida's favorite cake. With a confident movement, my hand almost shifted the display case that covered the face of the cake from all kinds of pollution. However, my movements were unsettled as my gaze stared at another hand that was also moving to the same point. Even our hands collided.
I straightened up the body that had been slightly lowered, then looked at someone who was now standing right beside me. He seemed to be smiling kindly, as well as apologizing for the little thing.
"Please, you'd better go first" I said as I advanced my hand. He immediately responded with a smile, then continued his delayed activities.
"Thank you, Sir. I go first." He went straight to the cashier table after picking up a few pieces of the same cake I wanted.
I nodded, and continued the preparation of the cake into the box I was holding. Although I could not get a full print, five pieces of red velvet was enough to pull both corners of my wife's lips up.
"It's okay, Sir. I was wrong because I was in a hurry. You see, my lover really wants this cake as soon as possible," said the oriental-faced man with an expression full of regret.
"Alright, be careful, Mom. Don't let the cake fall, because I'm finished wrapping." I gave him a clap of impeachment on his shoulder. That made him smile and walk out of the shop.
I just shook my head slowly, watching the happy mimicry of the man. It seemed that the cake was so precious that it made it so delightful.
After that, I continued the steps, then completed the payment. Then, immediately drive the vehicle to continue the journey home.
...💔...
"Papa's home ...!" I cried from behind the door that I just threw. Looking around, looking for the two human figures that I miss so much. However, I didn't get anything in there.
With still tightly grasping one paper bag, containing one box of cake that I had bought, my steps gradually increased. Until finally, stop in front of the dining table on which there is also a food box with partially open conditions. From behind the lid, I can see the same cake form that I am currently tenting about.

My heart was a little gritty, when I realized that the box of cookies perched up there looked exactly like the one I was carrying. The labels, colors and designs are very similar. It makes no difference at all, like two identical human twins. Of course, this box is from the same place. That is ... the cake shop I visited earlier.
