My Vampire Sytem

My Vampire Sytem
Chapter 5 Fate

After seeing Vorden perform well in the exam, Quinn inevitably thought about what Vordens ability was. When Vorden went to shake his hand back then, it was said that Vorden had tried to use her ability on Quinn. But for some reason, his abilities did not work.

If Vorden's ability was ice, surely his hand would freeze, unless Quinn had the ability to block all abilities but it was highly unlikely. Not only that, even after that Vorden gave a strange reaction and asked Quinn what her abilities were. It was as if he knew his abilities were not working.

Then another thought came to Quinn's mind, why did Vorden so tenaciously shake the hands of everyone he had just met? If Quinn remembered correctly, Erin refused to shake Vorden's hand but in the end, Vorden still touched Erin's shoulder, at the time it seemed like an odd thing to do but now Quinn realized it wasn't happening and everything was starting to make sense .

Touching is the condition. The last person Vorden touched was Erin, there was no way the two of them would have the same strength. Which means most likely the ability of the Vorden, is the ability to imitate the abilities of others.

It didn't work on Quinn because his abilities weren't straight forward. Quinn couldn't help but feel curiosity and had to ask.

“Hey, Vorden what are your abilities ..” Quinn whispered, “how can you imitate the abilities of others?”

Vorden looked at Quinn and smiled.

“I'm surprised you found out so quickly, how do you know?”

“When you shake my hand, you are surprised when nothing happens.”

Vorden thought Quinn was amazing at being able to guess something like that just by shaking hands. After all, it was most likely that Vorden obtained the Ice ability from the ability book. The power to copy is not available as an ability book which means one thing.

“Are You Original?” Quinn asked.

Vorden said nothing but just a wink at Quinn, which convinced Quinn of his mind.

Vorden was an Original, someone from the family who decided not to share their abilities with the outside world. Someone who is usually capable of surpassing strength level 8.

After the test was over, the hooded man moved the students to the front of the academy where they were going to live. The academy was enormous and the tallest building in the entire city. It was as if someone had arranged three hotels.

There were a total of ten different teachers currently standing in front of the academy. In front of them was a group of students who had all finished working on the test. Students are told to wait with the teacher until all students have finished working on the replay.

Every now and then, five students would be teleported in front of one of the teachers. Finally, where Quinn stood, there were now a total of 20 students.

“OK, you all have to follow me as I drive you around school.” The teacher in front.

The teacher was a middle-aged man with curly blonde hair and glasses, his name was Del.

While Del walked around describing the various places in the academy, he could not help but smile. Nothing seems to upset him.

“You should start getting to know each other as much as you can,” Del.“ saidAfter all, the person you are with now will be your classmate.”

Suddenly everyone started chatting with each other as they were shown around the school, but there was something Quinn noticed. The middle level tries its best to be friendly with the higher level, while the low level is ignored completely.

And Quinn and Peter are two level 1s in class. Unknowingly, they had been pushed to the back of the classroom, and Peter trudged with his head bowed. It seemed to affect Peter more than Quinn, but Quinn had expected this to happen.

However, suddenly, a familiar voice was heard calling Quinn's name.

“Hey you!” Vorden said, “People have just started to approach me, then suddenly I look to the right and you leave. Let's have a look around with friends.”

Quinn actually thought Vorden was a strange person, but that was not a bad thing. Vorden then notices that Peter is also alone.

“Come, you came too, stop being a downer.”

Peter looked up and pointed to himself.

“Whom else do you think I'm talking to,” said Vorden.

The three of them continued to hang behind the classroom while the teacher continued the tour around the school. They were shown a battle arena, where they had testing equipment similar to those filed in the desert, as well as several square battle platforms.

They were also shown homeroom classes, battle classes, gyms, and all sorts of things. Del would explain a little about each area of the school they visited but Quinn was not interested in most of it until they finally reached the library.

“The library here is divided into three floors as you can see. First year students can only access the first floor, second year students can also go to the second floor, and lastly, the last floor is only for military personnel. . “

Quinn was interested in the library because it contained books that were not available to the public. Here, Quinn would probably find some information about his abilities, he only wished that information was on the first floor.

Eventually, the tour was about to end as Del stopped just outside the school dormitory.

“And here is where you will stay for as long as you stay here, once you hand over your belongings, please explore around the Academy. There will be no lessons today so you will have the rest of the afternoon to explore. “

Each student is then given a number on a one be one piece of paper that is displayed in the room where they will be staying.

Quinn then realized from the corner of her eyes Vorden was coming towards her.

“Hey, Quinn, what room number do you have?” Vorden asked.

“Err 23.”

“No way you joke right, I got the same number, maybe his destiny unites us,” said Vorden excitedly.

“Maybe,” replied Quinn.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the hallway, two other students were chatting.

“Woah what happened to you?” A student said he saw his friend.

“Buddy, should we try to get it back?” ask the student.

“Well if I see his wrist properly, he said he level 5 better we just let it”

...

After Quinn finished cleaning up the items, she was free to do what she wanted for the rest of the day. It was still daytime, so he had plenty of time to explore the academy to do what he wanted.

Quinn was currently sharing her room with two people and surprisingly, she knew them both. One was Vorden while the other was Peter. There were three single beds in each room scattered over each other but other than that the room was quite empty.

Students are expected to spend most of their time learning or practicing their skills.

“What do you want to do?” Vorden asked.

“I'm still packing things, you two don't have to wait for me, do what you want,” replied Peter.

Peter had opened up a bit to the two of them, at first he was really shy and barely uttered a word but slowly Peter looked out of his shell especially around Quinn. Peter most likely felt comfortable being around Quinn knowing that he was a level 1 ability user like himself.

“I was thinking of going to the library,” replied Quinn, “that might be too boring for you.”

“Boring, I can make anything fun, besides that I have not read the book in..” Vorden paused for a moment. “I can't even remember the last time I read a book.”

The three of them laughed and then Vorden and Quinn decided to go to the library together. Finally they had arrived and the first floor was already crowded with students. Quinn noticed that there were several round tables scattered in the place where the students were sitting and In the middle of the table there was a shining ball.

“Ahh, you may be wondering what the Orb thing is in the middle, right?” Vorden asked, “It looks like they don't have it in public school. If you touch the orb, then it allows you to make space, in that space, only those who have been invited can be heard. This way people can talk and chat as much as they want without disturbing others. “

“Technology has definitely grown rapidly.”

Quinn and Vorden then chose a table that had two other people sitting on the other side. As Vorden said, Quinn could see the two talking but could not hear a word of what they were saying. The ball seemed to only have the range of the table. As soon as you leave the table, others can hear you as usual.

Quinn went to look around the library and picked up as many books on abilities as possible. Most of them describe what kind of ability the world has. Vorden did not care much and decided to pick a random fiction book to read.

The two sat at their table while Quinn started to move away. After reading a few books, Quinn found nothing new. He already knew about most of the abilities written on the books but none of them mentioned abilities like Quinn.

Vorden had been watching Quinn closely and paying attention to the type of book she had chosen.

“What's with all those books, are you looking for something in particular?”

Quinn thought about it for a moment before giving Vorden an answer. Vorden was not the most intelligent person in terms of academics, but it seemed that he was quite knowledgeable about abilities. He had to do it because of the kind of ability he had.

“I try to decide what ability I get since I rejected the school offer.”

“Oh yes, I forgot about that, I thought you might be one of the Pure members who hates abilities. Turns out you just don't want to be a dog for the military.” Vorden replied, “Alright, is there anything specific you're looking for?”

“Not really, I don't know. There is one that says something interesting, have you heard about weaker abilities in the sun.”

Vorden suddenly started laughing out loud.

“What's crazy, I've never heard of anything like that. Ability is something our body learns. Sure some people have restrictions and cannot learn stronger spells or can do less than others but one becomes weaker due to the sun. Sounds like you're a vampire or something. “

Quinn felt a little embarrassed by Vorden's reaction. Of course, Quinn knew this would be a normal reaction when asking something like this but it was true. As long as Quinn was in direct sunlight, all of his stats would weaken by half.

Quinn continued to look around the library to see if there was anything else she could find. He ended up reading every ability book he could find but there was nothing. Quinn then looked up to the top floor where there were a few second-year students.

“Maybe there is something there, but I can't imagine what the academy will do to me for breaking the rules,” thought Quinn.

As Quinn continued to walk around the library, she finally got into the fiction section and her eyes were drawn to something.

Specific title of a book titled “Truths about Vampir”.

Quinn took out the book and took a quick look at it. Vampires are fairy tales, even myths. Even when people started coming out with power, not a single person claimed to be a vampire.

Quinn could not help but start reading the book. It was a distant shot but maybe he'll find something he can relate to.

After reading and skimming through the book, Quinn found it mostly useless. A lot of the things that Vampires do, have absolutely nothing to do with it. Vampires must eat human blood. Some can turn themselves into bats and give the illusion. While others were highly skilled with swords and hypnosis, but Quinn did not have these things.

The only thing he could relate to in the book was being weaker in the sun. Eventually, Quinn decided to close the book and cancel it. It seemed like he would not find anything from the first floor of the library.

As soon as Quinn closes the book. A familiar voice sounded.
