When abilities were first introduced to humanity, people quickly learned that some were far more powerful than others. With this came the introduction of the power level system. There were a total of 8 different power levels.1 being the weakest and 8 being the strongest. These levels can also be subdivided into 1. 1, 1. 2, 1. 3 to 1. 9 and it's the same for each level.
There are two ways for people to gain abilities. When the war began with Ras Dalki, people began to share their power with the outside world. They wrote down how they obtained this power and put that information in the so-called, book of abilities.
These ability books were sold to the public and the military kept some of the more powerful books to themselves. Generally, ability books from level 1 to 5 were sold to the public. While giant corporations and the military keep the higher ones for themselves.
The second way to gain abilities is if you are an Original. The originals were the first to initially find strength for themselves and decided to spread it within their family.
Not all ability users choose to share their abilities with the outside world and decide to keep them in their bloodline. Originals usually had the strongest abilities that surpassed level 8. There is no way for the government to measure its power because it is not public knowledge.
For these two reasons, Quinn had always been level 1. He did not have any family members to support him, so he could not afford the ability books and his own family did not have the ability so he was not an Original.
When Quinn had obtained the book, his first guess was that it was an ability book, now after so many years, it seemed like he had obtained an ability. But he had never heard of an ability book like this before and he had no idea what level of power the book was giving him.
Quinn raised her hand to look at the watch that showed her current level of strength was one. As he looked around, he noticed that the watches of other people were currently showing the same number.
Griff was currently standing in front of all the students and calling out names in a group of five.
These students will then be moved somewhere to take the exam. Quinn hoped at first to think that he might be able to change his ability level for once but his mind quickly changed after receiving the notification.

Quinn didn't even know how good 10 strength, 10 agility, and 10 stamina were, but his eye sight was something to go through. Then it meant that it was at least the peak condition of a normal human but at the moment Quinn felt extremely weak and lethargic.
His body felt extremely hot now and he took out a bucket filled with water. Quinn thought it was a good thing she drank a lot of water before, otherwise she would have been very dehydrated.
“Hey, are you okay?” Said the stranger standing beside Quinn.
The stranger's name was Vorden, she had slick blonde hair and hazel green eyes with a chiseled face and sharp jaws. He is also 6 feet 2 inches tall while Quinn is 5.11. This was the type of person Quinn usually avoided at her last school because everyone would always pay attention to them and Quinn hated attention.
“If you want, I can call someone for help?” Vorden.
“It's okay, I'm just a little nervous about the test,” Quinn said as she tried to ignore her tired body and stand up straight.
Vorden looked at Quinn from top to bottom. Quinn was thin enough for a child his age and did not have much muscle and at the moment he looks very weak. Vorden thought Quinn looked like the kind of boy to be bullied at school and that was the reason Quinn was nervous.
If he were to obtain a level one rank it would most likely be the same thing here.
“Well don't worry, I'm strong enough. If something bothers you, you can come and ask for my help.” Vorden smile.
Quinn usually doesn't fit in with the energetic and positive type of person, but Quinn finds it hard to dislike Vordan. When Quinn thinks about her time at school, she realizes that she doesn't actually fit in with anyone.
“My name is Vordan,” Vordan said as she extended her hand.
Quinn looked at Vordan's hand, actually this was the first time in his life someone had treated him like this but Quinn thought it would change soon. They always did so once they discovered his level of Ability, but for this time he wanted to forget all that.
“My name is Quinn,” Quinn said as she shook Vordan's hand.
[Use of ability has been detected]
[Ability has been denied]
As soon as the system message appeared, Quinn looked at it strangely. At the same time, he shook Vordan's hand, the messages instantly popping up. He then realizes that Vordan has still not let go of his hand. Then the system repeats the message again.
[Use of ability has been detected]
[Ability has been denied]
Quinn immediately let go of Vordan's hand. The system clearly tells him that Vordan is trying to use his abilities on him. Vordan himself even had a confused expression on his face as he stood still.
“You,” says Vordan. “What are your abilities?”
“I...” Quinn paused for a moment to think whether she should answer or not, in the end, she wanted to see Vordan's true reaction. “I don't have the ability.”
Vordan no longer had a confused expression on his face as if his answer had satisfied his curiosity but before Vordan could say anything, Griff had made an announcement.
“Will the students, Quinn Talen, Vordan Blade, Peter Chuck, Layla Munrow, and Erin Heley come forward to take your exams.”
...
As soon as the five students heard their names being called, each of them started walking forward and Griff was standing.
Including Quinn and Vorden, there is another boy named Peter. Peter looked more nervous than anyone there, he constantly looked around and could not stop fidgeting. His body frame was quite small but it was suitable for him, as he was not that tall either.
Then there are two girls named Layla and Erin. Layla has short brown hair and a tall figure. On his back, he carried a bow that surprised Quinn, as there were not many people carrying weapons these days aside from the group of people named Pure.
They were a group of people who chose not to possess any abilities and use weapons instead but they were still extremely rare and Quinn had never met such a person in her life, just hearing stories about them.
Lastly, there's Erin. Erin was the type of girl who turned a boy's head away. The proportions are perfect, not too big not too small and she has beautiful long blonde hair. The only problem was his facial expression. Even when walking through the crowd, not once had his expression changed. It remains rigid and neutral.
As Quinn walked past everyone, he noticed that he did not recognize one student there and it seemed like the other one did as well. Quinn could only assume that this was done on purpose. No one knew who to make friends with or who to look out for because currently, everyone's strength level was displayed 1.
The group stopped just behind another group that was being transported to the testing area.
He only looked at Vordan's hand as he offered it to her, then he turned his head and threw his face away.
“Come, you don't have to be like that?” Vordan said as he placed his hand on his shoulder.
This is a big mistake. In an instant, Erin grabbed Vordan's wrist and twisted her hand. Then slowly his hands started to freeze and were covered in ice.
Everyone stopped to look at the commotion that was happening near the front.
“Wow, she has ice ability?”
“Isn't that very Rare?”
“I'll let him freeze me anytime.”
Griff noticed the commotion and started to intervene.
“Stop the two of you, if you have that much energy then save it for the exam.”
Erin immediately let go of Vordan's hand and slowly, Vordan's hand began to melt. Vordan then returned in line to stand next to Quinn.
“Can you trust him!” Vordan complains, “I almost lost my hand.”
“You can't just touch people without their permission,” replied Quinn.
“Yeah, I know, she's lucky I didn't clean the floor with her just because she's a pretty girl.”
Many people who were near the front lines had heard Vordan's words and had decided to make him an enemy. If they could somehow humiliate Vordan, then maybe Erin would look just like they thought.
Looking at the people around them, Quinn knew what others were thinking. Quinn then steps away from Vordan hoping others won't think the two are friends.
Finally, Quinn and the others were called forward and told to stand in the box. It was actually not a box but just a white line that had been drawn on the ground that was large enough to fit the five of them.
There was a hooded man standing outside the box.
“S told them to go!” Said Griff.
Immediately after Griff gave the order, the hooded man placed both his hands on the ground and the box began to light up, shining with a bright purple color.
“Hmm Transport magic yes, what a rare ability,” Vordan said. Just as the entire group suddenly disappeared into the air.
The next second they were teleported to another outdoor area that looked like an empty wasteland. No sign of life, no trees, nothing. Standing in front of the group was a woman in a black military uniform and beside her was a hooded man.
No one else was visible.
The woman held the Tablet in her hand and it seemed like she was busy entering some information. After he finished, he looked at the group and started talking.
“Halo everyone, my name is Jane, and I will be in charge of your test today. Once the test is complete, I'll update your information and your score will be reflected in your watch.”
Jane then started looking at the tablet.
“Now who should we contact first, oh looks like we have some level before?” Jane said while checking the information that had been passed on from their previous school.
“Peter, can you step forward?”
The nervous little Peter then stepped forward and he looked even worse than before. Quinn thinks he looks bad but he looks in perfect shape if you compare the two. At least Quinn could stand while Peter looked like he was about to fall at any moment now.
“Can you tell me what your ability is Peter?” Jane asked.
“Eh, I don't have any ability,” said Peter slowly.
Suddenly, Quinn and the others understood why Peter was so nervous. Not having the ability is not a rare thing. Because of the war, many children became orphans like Quinn and Peter. This meant that there was no chance for them to purchase an ability book.
But because Peter had no ability, he was afraid of the treatment he would get from the others.
“Do not be afraid, Peter.” Jane said, “This, take this.”
The hooded man standing next to Jane suddenly moved a book into his hands. Jane then handed the book to Peter.
“Wow, really you gave this to me for free!” Peter said with passion. “Thank you . “
“Please study this book in your own free time and when you have learned to use it, you can go back to repeat the test but for now I have to give you the power status of level 1.”
Although Peter had received the status of a level 1 powerhouse, he did not care, as he felt his life could finally turn around because of the book he had just received.
“Now I am sure there are other level 1 users here,” says Jane, “Quinn right? Can you step forward.”
Quinn did as he was told and stepped forward.
“Now Quinn, what abilities do you have?”
Seriate.
