Deryl's Story

Deryl kept looking at Kevan with annoyance. Because that guy who keeps bothering her by charging for the continuation of Deryl's story. Who's wrong to cut a story with such an out-of-the-box opinion as Kevan?

"Come on, I promise I'll buy you whatever you want. But you have to finish the story about this house, I don't want to die curious and join the spirits that are here."

"You're too lebay. Listen to my story and then make an opinion. You suck!" grumbled Deryl while opening a pack of snacks.

"Yes, yeah. I won't cut your story again. Now quickly tell me or I'll tell Naya that you're trying to cheat on her!" threaten Kevan.

Deryl grieves slowly. "Silly."

"Paaaaaat!"

"What part do you want to hear?"

"Everything. I don't like to hear half stories. Tell me to the end."

"alright. Now sit down, shut up and listen."

Kevan nods excitedly listening to Deryl who has already started her story.

"So this is how it used to be before this house was built. This land was once an abandoned hospital. The hospital used to be crowded, until finally there was a mentally ill patient coming. Everything changes, the mentally ill patient turns out to be a psychopath. He killed everyone in the hospital, including his patients and doctors. After everyone died, then he started skinning himself with a butcher knife after which he slashed his own neck."

Kevan looks pale after hearing Deryl's story. Even he started to feel goosebumps himself after hearing that spooky story.

"Not until there, the police who were assigned to inspect the hospital reportedly died with a skinned body condition. Since then people have started to believe that the spirit of the crazy girl is still wandering. Even some shamans to intervene, and end up with those who fall ill suddenly even die."

Deryl opened a can of soda on the table before continuing the story. "Will you hear?" ask Kevan who looks a little different. Yes with his pale face of course.

"Yes, still. Continue on.."

"Then the case was closed by the police, and five years later the hospital was torn down because of the sound of women laughing loudly, often heard, there were even some people who saw the appearance of the skinned girl. Carrying a knife of flesh and human skin."

"And this house?"

"The remains of the hospital were burned to the ground by the people, and it became the empty land that I built this house."

"Are you serious? Really in this house?" ask Kevan in fear. Even now the man moved to sit closer to Deryl while hugging the bolster pillow.

"Yes this house. That's why you can't act indecently, the girl gets angry."

"Aish... How is this? I'm so scared."

"Basic coward. He said you're a man."

"Yes I am a man, but hearing that is not so terrible? I'm more afraid of thugs because they look like they are, while 'that' ? He is invisible! But it can be skinning, Deryl! Think how scary this is!"

"Totally so."

"Yes, right? How do you know he's listening to our conversation while holding his butcher knife. Stupid, stupid. I'm sorry I asked you to tell me."

"I also regret to tell you! Now how is this?! WE'RE BOTH AT HOME! Oh, my God, regrets always come last!"

"Deryl, I think we need—"

The sound of broken glass like slammed was heard from the kitchen and accompanied by a small laughter. Deryl and Kevan look at each other before they finally run out of the house. And stupidly they did not bring the car keys.

"We have to catch up with Naya!" kevan.

"Yes, I'll book a taxi!"

Deryl fingered his pants pocket as well as his shirt. But I didn't find his phone there. "My phone's left at home! Shit, how is this?! I can't go back and get it! I could have skinned it!"

"My phone is on the table too! We'll find a regular taxi! Stand by the side of the road."

"We will ask the help of the father-in-law to find a shaman, ustad, or smart man. Anybody who can exorcise that spirit!"

"So, we're looking for a taxi now!"

"So, when are you going home?" ronald asked the princess who was still tolerant while watching Tom and Jerry cartoons.

"Later on, I'd like to calm my mind. If you meet the two silly it must be my head hurts again." replied Naya.

"Two ridiculous it's your husband by the way if you forget."

"Oh I remember."

Just now Ronald was going to sip his tea while dipping the pastry in the jar. Then he heard the sound of a door knocking down his house. Ronald had to get out before the door was broken because of the burglar.

"Deryl's? Kevan?"

Ronald looked at the two daughters-in-law with a strange look. Because their circumstances are completely different. Usually Ronald will find Deryl and Kevan in a neat state. But now he finds both of his daughters-in-law in a disheveled state.

"Why you?" tanyanya.

"Dad, can I have some ice water first? I'm thirsty." said Deryl Ngosan.

"You're such a rascal, come in."

Deryl and Kevan entered his father-in-law's house immediately. Naya is surprised to find her two husbands at her father's house with random appearances. Deryl who only uses shirts and short jeans and her skin is flushed. Even with Kevan who only wears a button shirt and knee-length cloth pants.

"What's wrong with you guys?" ask Naya confused.

"You don't go home yet. You're here until it's safe again" Kevan said.

"What's in your house?" ask Ronald.

"Our house has a ghost, father." replied Deryl after finishing a bottle of mineral water that Ronald had given her.

"Ghost?" naya and Ronald Kompak.

"Yes. The skinned ghost girl carrying the butcher knife. Just as Deryl was telling the history of the house, suddenly from the kitchen came the sound of broken glass like slammed. Not long after that, the voice of the girl laughed softly, Deryl and I immediately ran away here."

"How can there be ghosts?" asked Ronald. He would have stayed at that house, and nothing strange happened in his opinion.

"Yes, before the house was built there was a former hospital that was torn down."

"And you want to tell me ghosts exist?"

"The ghost does exist, father-in-law! He appeared to break the glass and the sound of laughter!" kevan.

"It's just your hallucination because you're telling a ghost story and you're becoming a parno!"

"No dad, we're not hallucinating at all, we're saying yang—"

From the kitchen, it sounds the same. Kevan and Deryl looked at each other before they finally ran away first from the house, followed by Ronald and Naya behind them.
