My servant, Asha

My servant, Asha
Mother's advice

Asha has given a message via mobile phone that Arga can rest first. You don't have to keep accompanying your father to talk. Asha was already in the room. He's tired too.

"Yes. Any minute. Go to sleep first." Arga replied to his wife's message quickly. Asha finally went to sleep first. Shortly after, Arga appeared. After changing clothes, he followed his wife who was asleep. Dipped his body under a warm blanket that wrapped his wife's body. Hugging tightly the body of his wife who fell asleep in a tilted position. Then close your eyes later.

Morning is more in this house. The sound of roosters crowing sounds very loud because there is a chicken coop in the back garden belonging to the next door neighbor. The sound of birds sounds more melodious and crowded. Rural nature is indeed cooler than urban.

Asha made two warm teas. Then bring to the front porch, along with bringing a plate of fried bananas that have been fried by the mother. There was her husband and father. I sit and talk again. Arga smiled fondly when he saw his wife coming to bring him tea. Asha replied shyly because there was a father there.

"The Father, healthy?" ask Arga. Last night did not have time to ask because after accompanying him to talk with his father and his mother, neighbors came to visit. Father nodded.

"How's Asha there?"

"He has no trouble adapting. Probably because I've lived in my family's house for a long time."

"That kid. Could be a washerman without your knowledge." He sighs. Recollect.

"I am thankful, sir. So I can meet your daughter."

Smiling to justify. "That's so.... Let's eat the fried banana." Arga nodded. It seemed that the neighbors were never satisfied to see his son-in-law. As they passed by, they unhesitatingly and reluctantly looked directly at Arga and her in-laws.

"Again relaxed as a son-in-law, Mr Akbar?" greet them with smiles that mean they are interested in seeing the arrival of Arga. Chief Arga nodded intending to say hello.

"Yes, Mom." After saying hello like that they left. After the mothers, a father appeared who immediately came closer.

"Sir, so fishing today right?" ask the father.

"Maybe not, Man. There's my son-in-law."

"Oh, Asha's husband? Just come along, Mas. Can you catch it?" take that father. "I brought two of these fishing rods." The man showed his fishing rod happily. Two of his eyebrows raised. Maybe getting one more friend to go fishing is a lot of fun.

"Little."

"Come Sir. His coat agreed to come, right?" bring the father with spirit.

"Eat the fried banana first. I'm gonna go get the fishing line." Mr. Asha stood up. The father's friend agreed and sat down on the seat of Mr. Asha earlier.

"I'm also in first, sir. Wanted to pay the wife."

"Yes, yeah. The new bride must be." The father chuckled while eating the fried banana voraciously. Let Arga go inside.

Arriving at the stairs near the kitchen table, Arga gave Asha code to come to the room.

"Just a minute, Mom." Mother nodded.

Arriving inside the room, Asha stared at her husband's astonishment. "Where are you going?" ask Asha astonished.

"Fishing father."

"Fishing? Really wanna come?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Could you?" ask Asha lightly.

"Little bit. Please find me a long-sleeved shirt." Asha who was sitting on the bed started to stand closer to the wardrobe.

"Little of it, means it is considered impossible." Arga, who was standing next to Asha, pinched his wife's nose with anxiety. Asha laughed a little. Laughing at Arga who actually has no fishing ability. "It is better not to come," advised Asha while looking for a t-shirt requested by her husband.

"You're afraid I'll embarrass you if I come?" Asha was busy looking for clothes.

"No. I'm afraid you're uncomfortable." Finally met also the shirt with the army green color. Then he gave it to her husband.

"Even so, I'll stay." Arga accepted and started wearing it.

"Why? Not that you become awkward, if caught do not understand? Also later it will be uncomfortable because it does not connect." Finally Arga finished wearing the shirt and then approached Asha.

"No problem. The important thing is that I dare to come forward to show my good intentions to approach the father. He must understand. Well. though maybe I'm useless because I can't. I could still laugh if he laughed with his friends. At least I was there to see the pleasure of his father and friend." Asha stunned. Her eyes looked at her husband. "What's wrong?"

"I'm amazed to see you trying so hard to get close to you."

"I work hard?" ask Arga.

"Isn't that worth it? The person I approached was the man who fathered the woman I loved. I think my efforts are still lacking, because he is a very valuable person." Arga said it while hugging his wife. But Asha's face looked even sad. "What's wrong?" Arga's hand went down his wife's cheek with great care.

"I feel ashamed."

"Why?"

"I haven't tried anything to get close to your parents. Especially your mother." Arga pulled his wife's body. Hugged tightly.

"Don't make that a burden. There is no compulsion. I'm not forcing. All this must be done with the heart. Not only want to look good, but also sincere and wholehearted. Use heart. It will also see the result." Asha's hand slipped from under Arga's arm to receive her husband's close embrace.

"Father, you're leaving Sha" my mother told me outside the room.

"D-yes, Mom! Hurry along..." Asha takes off the hug. Arga smiled knot.

"Indeed, dealing with my wife makes me forget about time. I'm leaving yeah." Arga took the time to kiss his wife's forehead and immediately headed downstairs to approach the father.

...****************...

In the kitchen after the two of them left,

"What are you doing there, Sha?" I asked her when the two of them were in the d. Prepare raw materials to start cooking for stalls later tonight.

"Good, Mom."

"What about Wardah?"

"Good."

"Although you can't cook yet?" Asha silence. "Housekeeping problems are not just because you can't cook, but it's a problem if someone's on a whim to make it a problem."

"I'm okay, Mom. There's nothing idle about that."

"The atmosphere between you and the Arga family house people must be strange. You who used to be a servant in that house, are now even the wife of the son or the master of the other servants." What her mother thought was true, but Asha did not discuss it. No need to talk about it. "Are you trying to take his heart?"

"E. like that."

"Sometimes the parents have their own mindset in dealing with their son-in-law. Although I have never, I understand. If he's nice, he'll try to treat you like he treats his kids."

"I think it's like that." Asha answered without looking. So she didn't know that mom saw her sighing softly.

"His mother's name was basically everywhere the same. Finicky. Not that it's the same as a bullet. She was chatty, because she wanted her son to be better. Is your mother-in-law chatty?"

"Not at all."

"Delighted. Seeing you at home is usually more interchanged than work, your in-laws are good." Asha's lips curled in disagreement.

"I wasn't lazy there, Mom. In the morning, I woke up and washed. Help Rike as usual."

"Whose cooking?"

"Arga's mother is the same as Sumi's."

"You should cook with your in-laws, not Sumi's. You are funny. Your in-laws will not be close to you. You'll stay awkward. It's the same close Bik Sumi."

"Indeed they're close, ma'am. Bik Sumi has been working there for a long time. If I had to accompany Arga's mother to cook, Bik Sumi would be set aside." Suddenly the mother hit Asha head slowly with a vegetable centong with anxiety. Not loud. But he made Asha complain in surprise.

"It's not about fighting for a position to get closer to Wardah's mistress. You did it as a form of duty to serve your husband's parents. Your in-laws. Not want to rival the other servants. You're his wife, young master there. Being close to Arga's parents is one of your obligations." Mom sighed while continuing to cook it. "Bik Sumi must understand that."

"I've also learned to cook for the family-in-law, really." Asha defended herself.

"Definitely the food is as good as in the boarding house," guess his mother was right. Asha thinning lips. "Come on, you should be able to cook it soon," pointed the mother towards the raw chicken. Looks like he was going to give his daughter a cooking lesson today. This holiday will be special because it is filled with learning. Asha. Hearing her husband trying to be close to his family, she also felt excited to do the same. Realizing that it is not only ourselves who are struggling makes the mind light.
