At night they woke up to perform the first sahur.. Shahia had previously cooked..

Shahia and Gus Afnan wake up earlier than their children..

Other side.. In the dormitory, the santriputri are seen waiting in line to eat sahur.. Same with santri putra.. There is a section in charge of pickets to take sahur food and distribute it equally..

In the house of Jiddah as well as in the house of Gus Afnan, they are gathering to enjoy the first sahur in Ramadan this year..

"Alhamdulillah has fasted again.. Means a little more lebaran, dapet money deehh" said Munawir

This morning the students were taken off from their school activities.. Like school, if the first day of fasting is always a holiday.. But it's not acceptable to go home..

There are santri who are tadarus of the Qur'an and there are those who do other activities..

In the afternoon, they will look for snacks to break the fast in the dormitory canteen that is always open.. There's fritters and cold drinks..

Do not sell collectibles, because pesantren already provide for them to break the fast.. There are also dates that are never absent for iftar given from the pesantren..

After breaking the fast, the santri perform the Maghrib prayer..

After the Maghrib prayer, there were two words spoken by Gus Afnan..

At the beginning of this fast Gus Afnan told about the primacy of Ramadan fasting..

"There are 9 virtues of Ramadan fasting.. First, the moon is revealed in the Qur'an.. Second, a blessed month, especially for the poor.. Wh why? because in this month of Ramadan a Muslim is invited to infuse and alms.. It is even required to commit zakat to help ease their difficult burden.. So this month is a month full of blessings.. Third, the month of forgiveness.. Our sins are forgiven by God this month.. Therefore, worship, do as many as ask Allah for forgiveness.. Fourth, the opening of the gates of heaven and the closing of the gates of hell.. Fifth, double the reward this month.. Like the reward of the umrah, equated with the reward of the person who went for the Hajj.. Sixth, there is Lailatul qodar.. The night of glory.. The night on which exactly the last 10 days of the month of Ramadhan the Qur'an was dropped.. Seventh, the month of Ramadan is part of the pillars of Islam.. The fasting.. Eighth, prayer in Ramadan is mustajab.. Pray much to Allah.. The last nine are Ramadan fasting is the reward is worth 10 months of fasting.. In addition, Abu Ayub Al-Anshary narrated the hadith of the Prophet of the Word which means:

Fasting 6 days in Shawwal month is done after the 1st of Shawwal.. Why not fast on the 1st of Shawwal?

The reason should not fast on the 1st of Shawwal, among others, because it is a sign of the completion of the obligations set by Allah SWT fasting for a month throughout Ramadan..

If you are still fasting, it can be suspected that the person overestimates the obligations set by Allah SWT. In fact, according to him, what Allah SWT outlined as an obligation should not be ignored nor should it be added and reduced. 

After 1 Shawwal, Allah gave freedom to Muslims to fast. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad encouraged Muslims to fast the sunnah six days in Shawwal" explained Gus Afnan

After explaining about the primacy of Ramadan fasting, the pilgrims immediately prepare for congregational prayer and continued prayer tarawih congregation..
