The twilight deck rolls up the city with the sky turning into a pink and orange color palette. The fading sunlight created a long shadow in Ana's courtyard. The gurgling sound of water from the small pond in the corner of the garden adds to the serene atmosphere. The chirping of birds returning to their nests rang out from a distance, giving a magical feel to the moment.
Lila sat with her legs slightly shaking on the terrace chair, her right hand holding an almost empty teacup. From the movements of his body, it was clear that something was stirring up his mind. Her normally neat long hair now looked a little messy, as if describing the emotional turmoil she felt.
Ana, who had been watching Lila's movements all along, finally said, "Lil, what's wrong? You've looked different since this afternoon."
Lila stared at her tea, letting her eyes absorb the warmth of the golden liquid. "Ana," her voice trembled, "i came here not just to reminisce or reminisce about our past."
Ana leaned forward, "What's up, Lil? You know you can talk to me anything."
With wet eyes, Lila took a deep breath and said, "There's a problem in my family. My son, Dian, has made a decision that has thrown everyone in our house into chaos. I felt so depressed and didn't know who to talk to. That's why I came here."
Ana takes Lila's hand, "Tell me, maybe I can help."
Lila sighed, "Dian got involved with the wrong group. He began to fall into a world I had feared for a long time. I tried to talk to him, but the more I pushed him, the more he stayed away."
In the deep silence, only the sound of crickets and the gurgling of water could be heard. Ana felt heavy on her chest, trying to find the right words to comfort her old friend.
At the same time, from behind the slightly open door, Joseph, who was heading towards the kitchen, overheard a conversation between his mother and Lila. His face looked confused, but he felt the need to do something to help. With a slow movement, he entered the kitchen and decided to make a warm cup of tea for Lila.
Meanwhile, on the porch, Lila continues her story, "I feel like a failure as a mother, Ana. How could my son be plunged into that dark world? I feel as if I've lost him."
Ana clasped Lila's hand tightly, "Lil, don't blame yourself. Sometimes things happen out of our control. What matters now is how you deal with it and how we can help Dian."
Lila looked at Ana with teary eyes, "Thank you, Ana. I really need someone to talk to. I feel so burdened with all this."
At that moment, the door of the terrace opened and Joseph came out with a tray containing a cup of warm tea. He looked at Lila with a sympathetic gaze, "Tante Lila, I made tea for you. Hope it warms your heart a little."
Lila smiled weakly, "Thank you, Yusuf. You're very nice." He received the tea from Joseph and sipped it slowly.
Ana smiled proudly at her son, "Thank you, Yus."
Joseph nodded, "No problem, Mom. I just want to help."
That night, under the starry sky, the three hearts shared a story, hope, and warmth. Despite the various problems whack, togetherness and support for each other give strength to keep going.
The night wind began to whisper softly, chime with the rustle of leaves that adorned the garden of Ana's house. In the distance, the glittering lights of the city created a contrast to the darkness of the night, as if framing the scene with light. On the terrace, two female silhouettes seemed to be immersed in deep conversation.
Ana patted Lila's back gently, looking for the right words. "Lil, I understand how you feel. But you should know, every young person must have a phase where they want to pursue their own dreams and freedom."
Lila let out a long sigh, "But, Ana, I feel guilty. Maybe I was too hard on him. Maybe I don't understand it enough."
Ana held Lila's hand, looking at her with empathetic eyes. "Lil, we all make mistakes as parents. But the most important thing is how we fix it. Remember the time before, when we both faced problems? We always support each other, strengthen each other."
Lila nodded slowly, smiling weakly. "Yes, Ana. You're always there for me. And I'm so grateful for that."
An idea came to Ana's mind, "Lil, how about we try to find Dian? Maybe we can help reunite your relationship."
Lila looked surprised, "You're serious? Are you sure we can do it?"
Ana nodded firmly, "We can at least try. You're not alone in this, Lil."
Lila pulled Ana into her arms, holding back sobs. "Thank you, Ana. I don't know what to do without you."
From behind the window, Ima who had noticed the conversation of the two women, felt the need to entertain the atmosphere. In spirit, he picked up his little magic box and walked out towards the terrace.
"Sorry to interrupt" said Ima with a big smile. "But, how about Aunt Lila see a simple magic trick I just learned?"
Lila wiped her tears and tried to smile, "Of course, honey."
Enthusiastically, Ima begins to show her magic tricks, turning coins into roses. Lila was amazed, and her heartfelt laughter sounded again. "That's great! You will definitely become a great magician someday!"
Ima blushing, "Thank you, Auntie. I just want to make Auntie a little happy."
Lila hugged Ima, "You've made it, honey."
Ana, who witnessed the scene, felt proud of her daughter. "Thank you, Ima. You always know how to comfort a sad heart."
Ima smiled, "I learned from the best," he said as he pointed to his mother.
That night, despite being surrounded by various problems and obstacles, the three women find happiness and hope in old laughs and memories. The spirit of friendship and kinship warms the cold night, showing that there is light in every darkness.
