My Mom Dear My Mom is Poor

My Mom Dear My Mom is Poor
Chapter 25's

A bright morning...

This morning was the last morning Melati could walk in her house, because tomorrow, early in the morning she had to leave, going to the train station that was heading to the city.

Incidentally, this morning the harvest from the results of the backyard garden is abundant, ranging from cucumbers, sweet potatoes, to corn. It certainly makes Husna very happy, so he can make a small farewell party for Melati later tonight, so he thought.

"I'm leaving." Said Aryo who suddenly came out of the house.

"Mas, you want to go to work?" Husna asked confused.

"Yes of course, then where do you think I'm going?"

"It's not so, it's just that it's still very early in the morning? You don't usually go at this hour."

"It's okay, the sooner I go, the better, and I don't want to be slow-stamped by the passengers just because of my deformed foot."

"But I haven't made you breakfast yet, mas."

"No need, I'm not hungry."

"Eemm good then." Answer Husna then.

"Oh yes, try to go home early! Because later tonight I'm going to have a farewell party for Melati, "Shouted Husna to Aryo who started to step away.

"Eh." Aryo replied briefly as he continued to move on without stopping one bit more.

After a few seconds, the newly awakened Melati also appears to appear while scratching her head like a typical person who just woke up.

"Sayanggg, are you awake?" Husna immediately widened his smile.

"Where is mom going?" Melati asked who was curious when she looked at her father's back which was already further away from their home yard.

"Your father is going to work."

"Work? Early in the morning like this?" Melati also felt astonished.

"Yes, he said the sooner you leave the better,"

"Eeemm tumben once." Mumbles Melati slowly.

"That's it! why worry too much about your father, just let him." Husna smiled again.

"Son, now say it! what do you want me to cook today?" Husna asked then with a look on her face that looked so excited.

"As for mom, whatever you cook I'll eat."

"Haaaiyo, let's just say, what kind of food are you trying to eat right now? Today the harvest is abundant dear, which is why I want to throw a small farewell party for you later tonight."

"Bye-bye party?? Haaiss ma'am, no need to overdo buuu."

"It's okay, let me cook you a nice meal before you go."

"Eeemm yeah, it's up to mom." Melati finally smiled.

Before long, Rio suddenly appeared from inside the house and immediately filled up the conversation of Melati and Husna.

"Yeay cool, tonight there's a party, I can definitely eat good." Chirps Rio with so confidence.

"You want to eat good?" Husna asked who was staring at Rio with an unusual look.

"Of course mom, eating is one of my hobbies, hehehe."

"You can eat good, as long as you help mom get these sacks to the market."

"Haaaiss ma'am, what the hell is this. Why am I always the one who is asked?! Why didn't you ever tell sister?!" Rio complained while scratching his head that did not itch.

"Hey, you're a man, right?! After all your sister should pack up, so don't argue with mom."

"Haaaiis, really favoritism!"

"You're up against mom???!" Husna also started glaring while tucking his waist.

"Eeemmm yes, yes" Rio replied finally lethargicly.

"The spirit of Riooo." Said Melati who intended to tease her sister.

Rio was just silent, with his sour face, he began to lift two sacks containing sweet potatoes and corn, while the other sack was carried by Husna.

"Darling, you sell first yes, you take care of the house, no need to clean the house, just enjoy today with a little relax." Husna said to Melati.

"Good ma'am, be careful, and I'll start packing my things."

Husna and Rio also went to the market, along the way, Husna kept telling Rio about how Melati who grew up to be a smart child and always proud of him. But Rio chose to remain silent, not even at all interested in listening to that story, because to be honest Rio was so saturated listening to the same story continuously repeated for almost the lifetime of Rio.

Moments after the departure of Husna and Rio, Nana suddenly came to Melati's house with an unusual look on her face.

"Nana, why did you come here so early in the morning?" Ask Melati while smiling.

With great hesitation, Nana stepped back slowly to approach Melati.

"What's Na?" Melati asked who was starting to be surprised to see Nana's strange girly.

"Eeeemmm... Have you packed?" Tanya Nana started the conversation.

"Oh that's hehe, I just wanted to do it. Why indeed? Then what about you? Have you packed up yet?"

Nana shook her head slowly.

"You haven't packed yet?!"

"Yes not yet."

"Gosh, I think I'm the only one who hasn't packed my stuff yet."

"Eeemmm jasmine, se, actually..." Nana's speech that looks increasingly excited and hesitant.

"Nana, what's wrong?" Melati's forehead also began to look wrinkled.

"Eeemmm, Mel, actually ak, I, I."

"Say Na! What's up?"

"Sorry Mel, it looks like you, you should go alone." Nana who finally started to lower her head.

"Well??!!" Both of Melati's eyes instantly became wide-eyed.

"Yes Mel, you seem to have to go off alone because I canceled my intention to go to college in the City."

"But why Na???" Melati immediately held onto Nana's arms.

"My father Mel, my father had his stroke back again, but this time it was quite severe and caused him to be unable to move one hand. Therefore, so there is no one to help my mother to the field and I can't bear to leave my mother in such a state." Obviously Nana.

"But Na, you've already gotten off the path of achievement and got a scholarship, are you sure you just let go of this golden opportunity?"

"Yes Mel, it's very hard to decide this, but as a child I can't be selfish Mel, it would be a pity if my mother had to take care of everything alone. I can't do that, I can't even go and study there."

Melati was immediately speechless, she sighed heavily and seemed very uninspired after hearing Nana's decision to thwart her departure to accompany her mother.

"Do I have to get rid of it too?" Ask Melati slowly.

"Hey, what the fuck are you! Don't Mel, this was your dream for a long time. You have to go! I'm sure you can even without me."

"Ta, but from the beginning we agreed to go with Na."

"Yes I know, but I don't want that to make you fail. Just go Mel, I'm sure you can even without me."

Melati was silent for a moment, the feeling of doubt now began to appear to greet him, but even Nana's words seemed so convincing. Moreover, overshadowing his family which often makes him stressed because of frequent fights, making his throat back rounded.

"Yes you're right, Na. I have to go, this is my dream, and I'm sure I can succeed and make my parents even more proud of me." Said Melati at last.

Nana nodded and began to smile, she immediately hugged the warm body of a friend since childhood, a warm embrace as a sign of separation from him.

...Be connected...,...
