Chapter 15's

The next day, Niko left for school early. He ran towards the hall. Breath gasping-2. He stopped near the trash can in front of the hall. His eyes started looking for-2 pictures he threw away yesterday. Of course, the trash is empty. His heart was half disappointed, half sorry. Yesterday he was too upset to throw away his best-2 work without a second thought. (''perhaps better like this''), he said inwardly as he closed his eyes.

Fara's relationship with Niko since the episode in the hall became different. Although Niko still remains a friendly friend, Fara cannot respond with the same feelings. Because every time Fara looked into her eyes, what was remembered was Niko's sad look at not being able to reach her dreams again.

The distance of six steps between his desk and Niko's desk had turned into an unspeakable sadness. Fortunately a few days later the semester exam came, so for a while Fara's mind was more focused on her hopes to pass the exam. However, he did not want to disappoint my mother with his choice to enter the IPA department. After the exams ended, the year-end holiday came, Fara wanted to take advantage of her vacation to treat her pain.

The moon has changed years. Fara's love for Niko gradually faded away. After all, now Fara is more concentrated on her studies, because the national exam is only a few months away. However, if his heart is careless, he finds himself looking at Niko in the distance.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the school will hold a picnic to the beach for all 3rd graders. The principal wants the 2nd child to get a distraction before concentrating on the national exam.

Fara woke up with a new spirit that day. He wanted to forget the matter-2 test in his mind for a moment.

''Good morning, baby, '' said the mother saw her daughter who had just come out of the room.

''Good morning ma, ''' Fara replied.

Mom approached her daughter and kissed her. ''Happy birthday, dear.''

''You can wear it today, for school picnics, have fun 2lah.''

Fara nodded in agreement. ''Thank you, ma'am.''

Arriving at school, the clock has shown at 07:30. Picnic to the beach is scheduled to leave at 08.00. There are a lot of students gathered in the field. Six buses are parked in front of the school. Fara looked at Niko who was chatting with her 2nd friend. Fara's heart was a little shaky. He never saw Niko wearing a casual dress. With a blue T-shirt, black jeans, and a black hat, Niko looks very handsome.

Fara turned her body. (''I can't keep looking at him, I don't want my feelings to fall any deeper''). He got on the bus and sat in the back seat. The headmaster asked the students to enter the bus 2 each. Ten minutes later, Fara's bus drove to the beach. Along the way Fara heard the music of his hp. He tried not to look at Niko who was in the front seat. Two hours later, a stretch of sea from the window of the bus was seen. Fara smiled.

Fara has never been to the beach. All this time he had only seen it dr book-2 or television. The morning sunlight makes the sea water sparkle. After the bus stopped at the parking lot, the students immediately got off and shouted happily towards the beach. Fara dropped last. Both of his feet stomped on the sand of the beach happily. After that, he hurried to follow in the footsteps of other 2 friends to feel the sea water. Fara took off the sandals she was wearing and left her feet submerged in sea water. The other students were playing with sand. Fara looked at the vast ocean in front of her, happy to spend her birthday in a place like this.

Sweat dampens Niko's back. After a few sessions playing beach volleyball with her 2nd friend, she was a little exhausted. His 2nd friend took a banana boat, but Niko decided to take a break.
