CHAPTRE 4

It's getting night. The new rain. I looked out the window. The storm has also broken. The sea water became calm.

"Tomorrow must be." I closed the window curtains and lay down on the bed. I grabbed my phone located on the table and checked some incoming messages.

"Switched.... You how are you?"

I just looked at the message in wonder.

"Whose number is it again?" I asked who that person was.

Then, the person replied to the message that made me dumbfounded to read it. I put my phone down too. A few times the message came in, but I ignored it.

(My phone rings)

I picked up the phone and listened to it without speaking.

The call ended after I kept the man talking.

"Nat, do you want to be my girlfriend?" Endru knelt down with a flower in his hand.

"Hm...." I still looked at Endru in confusion.

"Endru...!" Nadila took Endru's hand and left me. I'm still looking in the direction

Endru who went with Nadila. Endru also had a chance to look at me but still chose to go with the woman.

My feelings became sad and disappointed towards Endru. If he really loved me, he wouldn't have left me and gone with another woman.

"Snat?" Gerri patted my shoulder.

I woke up from my daydreams about my High School days with Endru. The guy who called me earlier.

"You're not pa pa Nat. Just daydreaming from earlier." Gerri offered a cup of coffee. "Drinked coffee. It's cold." Gerri sat beside me.

"Thanks to Ger." I threw a small smile at Ara Gerri.

"Eh.... Have you eaten?"

"Udah is."

"Goodoo. Again think what the hell, just moody as it seems." Gerri glanced at my phone that was still ringing.

I slowly grabbed my phone and disabled it.

Gerri looked at me in wonder.

"No pa kok Ger. Hehe."

Gerri just looked at me curiously.

"I slept ya." Gerri lay down on the sofa while pulling her blanket over her body.

"Gerg.... Sleep here, same with me. Not exactly pa pa." I patted the bed.

"Eh, not really. No pa pa pa. Here it is." Here."

"Gerri! Sleep here." I looked at Gerri while waving.

"Well, if you make it." Gerri walked up to me and lay down.

I lay down and pulled my blanket. I lay down to Gerri's back.

"Switched.... If there is a problem, tell me. Not exactly pa pa." Gerri rubbed my shoulder.

I just patted her hand that was rubbing my shoulder.

I'm still awake in the middle of the night. Gerri looks asleep.

I picked up my phone then slowly read the message from Endru. I just kept quiet reading it.

After a few years, only now did he tell me.

I turned off my phone and went back to lying down. Just turning around, Gerri hugged me. I tried to move her hand, but she hugged me again. I finally let him hold me.

It was cold even though it was wearing

thick blanket. So I let Gerri hug me. At least it can help me not to be so cold.

I looked at Gerri. Suddenly, Gerri looked back at me.

I was shocked and immediately closed my eyes. Hope Gerri doesn't realize that I was staring at her earlier.

Gerri just smiled.

He hugged me tighter and closed his eyes. I also took a long breath.

It's getting late. I also decided to sleep in Gerri's arms.

Morning has arrived. After calling the owner of the boat that would take us to the next island, I packed my things and put them on the terrace, assisted by Gerri.

Gerri and I walked to the harbor and took a boat. The boat sailed with her fast. Not long after, we arrived.

I got off the boat followed by Gerri who also brought our things down. After paying the boat's wages, we walked out of the harbor.

I looked around the place. Beautiful little village. Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish around.

Gerri and I went around the village. Until arriving at a yard, there were many children gathered. There are adults there. There may be teaching activities there.

The children looked seriously at the blackboard and listened to someone explain in front of them all.

A woman stood with the man who explained the material to the children.

I look at them. I was glued to a man holding a camera while taking some pictures of the teaching activity.

"Bro, what activities are there?" Gerri shook hands with a man who was at that location.

I'm following Gerri.

"There are volunteers from the city who teach the children in this village mas," the man replied.

"It's been a while, Bro?" Gerri looked towards the teacher.

"Well.... Not so long anyway. Just a week running. Are you also a volunteer, right?"

Gerri and I looked at each other doubtfully.

"Ah.... Yes Mas. We're volunteers from the city, too." I blinked towards Gerri.

"Yes, just join the other friends Mas, mbak."

"Yes, um." I followed the man along with Gerri.

After the introduction, Gerri and I gathered with the volunteers. Mutual acquaintance. From the gathering place, I noticed the man earlier.

"That's Ak Han." Deshy one of the volunteers whispered while pointing at Ak Han.

"Yep. He's a photography student."

"Owh."

Me and the other friends gathered with the kids in the yard to enjoy lunch together.

Ak Han looks busy photographing activities for the sake of activities that take place. I kept looking at him from a distance.

Ak Han's. Cool name, I muttered. I still look at him.

"Snat! Look what the hell?" Gerri nudged me.

"Cool well Ger...." I was still staring at Ak Han.

"Oh yeah dong." Gerri with her PD stroked her hair.

"It's not you Ger. But that guy." I pointed towards Ak Han.

Suddenly I realized. Then immediately looked at Gerri who was staring at me.

After lunch, I saw Ak Han sitting under a tree while looking at his portrait.

"Hi...." I sat next to him.

"Uhm.... Hi." Hey." He was still watching his camera.

"Busy is it."

"Yes. Again look at the photos for documentation."

"Well, I'm back. Fear of disturbing." I stood up and walked away from him.

"My name is Han, Ak Han."

My steps stopped when he just introduced himself.

I sat down next to him again.

"I'm Nat. Not that you are busy. If I were here, you'd be a nuisance."

"No."

It's a cold man, my mind.

"Hm.., sorry if you think I'm cold. Not in the mood anymore."

"Well, why?"

"From that moment I was uncomfortable looking at it.

Is there something wrong with my appearance?"

Loh, he turned out to realize that I was watching him, my mind again.

The activity is over. Me and the others gathered. Today was their last day in the village.

After gathering and talking. There are a few tents there. Gerri and I went back to our tent.

The plan tonight is also me and Gerri will continue our journey looking for lodging for tonight.

"Nat, I'm so tired. Tomorrow, continue the journey. I'm going to sleep first." Gerri went into his tent.

I was still sitting in front of my tent. I looked at the sky full of stars. That night the sky was quite clear.

"Hey. Not sleeping?" Han stood in front of me.

"Eh.... Haven't. Still not sleepy. You alone?"

"Same. I've been walking there." Han sat down beside me. "You want to go on the road first?" continued.

"Can. Yuk." yuk." I hurried to stand up.

"Yuk."

Ak Han and I were sitting in a harbor. Right by the sea looking at the sky. Han occasionally photographed the sky.

I just looked at him with admiration. A bule man who seems to have been in Indonesia for a long time. Seen from his language.

He was tall, had a stocky body, white skin, a pointed nose, slightly overstretched hair.

Unfortunately, he was too cute. Even so, I still admire him.

"Tomorrow back to town?"

"Yep. You?" Han saw.

"Hm.... Gerri and I have a trip tomorrow. So you can't go back to town."

"Gerri's your boyfriend?"

"Ah.... Nope. Buddies. We're friends."

"Good."

I just smiled hearing his response.

"Back yok. It's late." Han stand.

"Yok."

We also walked to the camp.
