"Grandfather, k-you.. slapped me for an outsider?" Edward held onto his cheek while staring at the old man blankly.
This was the first time he had been slapped by the old man since he was born. No matter what he had done wrong in the past, no matter how big of a problem he had, at most grandfather just nagged him.
"Kneel, you!"
The old man was so angry that he trembled, "Otherwise, I will drive you out of the Gibson family. I don't care if you live or die out there!"
Bruk!
Edward immediately knelt on the ground. He did not hesitate this time because he realized that the old man was really angry right now. Although he was on his knees, he refused to look at Leon, he turned his head with an annoyed expression.
Ignoring him, the old man walked up to a stall and borrowed cigarette ashtrays. He held it in front of Leon with both hands, "Master, if small. I have offended you, please hit him with this as much as you want. It's okay if you hit him until he's dead. Please forgive our family."
Leon looked at her with a strange expression where no one knew if she was smiling or not. He did not accept or speak.
The old man is experienced! Complicated action!
Edward's face was now green.
He was so angry that he tried to stand up. However, the cigarette ashtray struck him with a punch so hard that he immediately knelt down. He gritted his teeth to endure the pain while he shed tears sadly.
Selena couldn't help but gawk a little. But, he did not dare to defend his brother.
People's expressions froze.
Lee Hanzo's mouth opened so wide that he could swallow the Husky.
Seeing Leon reject his kindness, the old man
sighed silently and turned to look at Lee Hanzo who was standing at the side. "Say, what's really going on here?"
Lee Hanzo flinched. He took two steps forward and explained everything that happened honestly while bowing. He did not miss anything or dared to side with anyone.
The old man's expression slightly changed after hearing that the longevity pendant was a demonic item. He seemed to have recalled something and then slapped Edward on the head. "Bas stupid, kind-hearted master said that to save your life. Not only did you not appreciate it, but you even attacked it. What did the Gibson family do wrong to have raised someone like you ?!"
"Grandfather, how can you believe such nonsense?" Edward laughed in disbelief.
The old man sobbed suddenly, "You stupid brat, did you forget how your father died?"
"My dad?"
Edward had a dramatic change in expression. Shock and serious horror then appeared on his face. "What is it..."
The old man sighed. "Your father got this longevity pendant at first. Just like you, he treated her like a precious treasure. In the end, he died in a car accident within a year. And you're the fool who stole the locket from his room."
The old man looked ferocious as he spoke, "You were also together with Elkan for the last three years of that time. For three years, he was five times a terrible pesky, making him lose everything! Don't you realize anything now? It's because of the key to your longevity!"
When the old man finished speaking, Edward slumped weakly to the ground as if disaster had struck. There was a buzzing sound echoing in his head as he lost the disobedience he had shown earlier.
He was married for three years but had no children. His wife five times but miscarried every time for no reason. The largest fetus is seven to eight months old.
At first, he did not connect the longevity pendant with his bad luck. However, attributing what Leon and the old man had said, he suddenly realized.
Other than killing his father, his precious longevity pendant even killed some of his children before they were even born!
How is that a longevity pendant ?!
It was a pendant that put lives at risk!
Most importantly, Elkan had died!
Edward gulped as he thought about this. He knelt all the way down to Leon and bowed his head to the ground as he spoke chokingly," M-Master, Master, I'm sorry. I have underestimated you. You can punish Me as you please as long as you are willing to forgive Me. I, Edward, won't be angry or upset when you sentence."
He slapped himself as he spoke, and to everyone's bewilderment, it was a very loud slap.
"I also beg you to forgive my useless grandson!" The old man tried to kneel down as he cried. However, he realized that he could not kneel no matter how he tried. It seemed that there was an invisible pair of hands holding it.
He was so surprised!
Isn't that the grandmaster technique!?
"No need to do this, old general!" Leon shook his head and looked at Edward. "You should be grateful to have such a great grandfather. The old general himself was involved in a war half of his life and killed countless enemies. He gained good karma to serve the country and collect blessings for you. Because of that blessing, you managed to live until now! Now, give me your longevity pendant!"
Edward was very happy to hear that. He stood up and took the key to longevity, then gave it to Leon respectfully.
The old man could not help but voice, "this longevity pendant..."
In reality, he wanted to say that since the longevity pendant was a demonic item, it had to be destroyed.
"Don't worry. Just want to see!"
Leon grinned and stretched out his hand to point at the longevity pendant. A stream of golden spiritual energy drove into the longevity pendant directly.
Two dragon roars sounded from the longevity pendant. The roar contained grudges, reluctance, and pain as they seemed to struggle to escape.
Gibson's grandfather, Edward, and the others were so stunned that goosebumps rose all over their skin.
This affected Edward especially. If he was still unconscious earlier, and handed over this longevity necklace, then have no idea what happened.
Leon scoffed as he raised his arm and charged at the other spiritual energy. The scream in the longevity pendant faded slowly, and finally, it became silent again.
Furthermore, a shocking incident happened!
A faint black energy shot out from above Edward's head slowly. The black energy disappeared once it rose into the air. Meanwhile, he looked much healthier.
Edward checked himself, very surprised." Grandpa, sir, I. I feel much better now!"
"Thank you Sir!" The old man bowed sincerely.
