My Daily Life In Magic Academy's
Chapter 48 Discussion

This sudden notice made by the Academy's side certainly shocked the entire first grade disciples. Even so suddenly, we as students could not protest. The only way is, accept all these things, and think about the next step to win this tournament. Or so our instructor said.

Although he confidently told us to win the tournament before our eyes, I, as the team leader, thought about it from another, more realistic point of view.

I thought, no matter what strategy we use, we have no chance of winning.

I thought this way not just because of the usual pessimistic feelings. There is a good reason why I came to this conclusion.

There are at least two reasons that make me think like this.

First we were outnumbered. Second, we lack information.

Indeed, from some history books that I have read, the number is not the main factor of victory in war. But if I go further, an outnumbered army that in history has won the war, has a capable army. They also benefit from the battlefield, as well as other factors, such as more enemy troops do not have a qualified army like those who are outnumbered. It could be said, the troops are outnumbered but can win the war supported also from various factors.

Even most of history, always tells of the troops who win the amount always win in battle. So if I think realistically, we really have no expectations because of the small number of A class students.

The second reason is no less important. We lack information. We know nothing about the enemy. In the history books I read first, also told, information is the most important factor in winning the war.

Lack of information, and outnumbered... From my point of view, we really had no hope of winning.

Even at this time, our instructors had not thought of a way to resolve this issue at all. He had only explained various strategies that, from my point of view, were completely useless.

For example, Rotation of the player, how to trap enemies while playing a game of seizing flags, and how to win duels with enemies. Come onl.... That's all basic strategy! Does he not have a more powerful way!?

"Suggesting strategy from me is enough to get here. Team leader, please formulate a strategy that you think is suitable. We still have until the afternoon before school ends."

After our instructors said that, we all arranged our tables into round shapes.

"So, chief. What do we do?" Ask Alexandria, open the discussion room.

"We have no hope of winning." Answer me.

If they really want to get serious about this tournament, I have to slap them with the facts. There was no point in giving them false hope, therefore, I unceremoniously said what I was thinking. The moment I said that, everyone opened their mouths with their faces open.

But I didn't stop... I continue to continue my words.

"We lack people. Although Mr. Jhon says numbers are not everything, but in fact, in war, numbers are the most important factor in winning battles. Same with this match. I hope you can remember the events when we practice magic, the number of enemies coupled with 'Duplicate' magic alone we are overwhelmed by it. Especially now, we're up against people who might have abilities equivalent to ours, which are more in number, obviously we have no hope of winning."

I keep the fact that we lost against androids during magic practice due to the power of androids that are superior to normal humans. I kept this fact to remind them of reality, and not completely hold on to their ideal thinking.

I know someone will deny my words. I can guess the first to deny is Alexandria, who has the family motto of 'winning!'. As the one who holds the motto, it is clear he will first deny my words.

"It seems we chose you wrong!"

I saw the man who denied me with his face open. The one who first denied me was not Alexandria, but Dani. Even worse, he was directly emotional. He hit the table hard, while taking out his words that were like the hiss of a snake.

"Why are you so emotional?" My word. "I'm just revealing the facts here... You know my personality, right? You should be able to guess how I think."

"Sad... I guess we don't fit in!" Dani said after clicking her tongue.

"To be honest we can win if we're lucky." I said with a ketus.

To a realistic minded person like me saying we win if we're lucky are such obvious circus words. This is like playing gambling, which is a winning percentage below one percent. That doesn't benefit our current situation.

"Actually Mira, I disagree with your words. We can't know before we try." This time it was the man I thought would deny me the first time I spoke, who else if not Alexandria.

"Even if I disagree with your words, but I can't deny everything you say. Because you revealed the facts to us." Reciprocity.

Looks like the incident with Raihan really changed Alexandria's mindset a little. He who can now accept reality with a chest. What I wonder here is Dani, actually he already knows my personality and also can not turn a blind eye to the reality that exists, but somehow his old personality returned. He is more concerned with his emotions than his logic.

I used my parallel thinking skills to discover the strangeness in Dani's behavior. And it didn't take long, I could figure out why... But there's no use in carrying this thing now.

"Haaahs... We might be able to win, but the odds are very small, it could be said to be five percent. It also supports the luck factor. If you want to follow my words, maybe we can win. But like I said, the winning percentage is only five percent. Hows it? Do you want to go with my plan?"

"Five percent yes..." Alexandria muttered while pinching her lower lip. "alright... It's worth a try. We'll follow your plan. So what do we do?"

"Gathering information." I said with a small smile that adorned my face.

In ancient times, a person named Alan Turing had broken the code of his country's enemies in the past war, which occurred in the 20th century. The man named Alan Turing managed to decode the code made by the most sophisticated engine compiler of code at that time, named Enigma.

Alan Turing deciphered the enemy with his machine capable of decoding the Enigma. Thanks to that machine Alan Turing managed to get the enemy base information encrypted with that code. Thanks to the information he got his country was able to defeat the enemy country and end the war.

From this story can be concluded two things, how important it is to find information on the opponent, and how dangerous it is if information leaks into the opponent's side.

Therefore, the first step we have to do is to find as much information as possible, and as much as possible prevent information about us from leaking on the opponent's side.
