The five of us arrived at the school cafeteria. To describe how the cafeteria atmosphere at this school was, I only had two words. "Whispering and crowded." Two words of description that are so bad for introverts like me. I prefer quiet and quiet places. No matter how dislikeful I am with the atmosphere in this cafeteria, I cannot say that to the others, even more so to Alexandria who had bothered to take me.
"What do you want to buy?" Ask Dani to us.
"What do you mean Dani? All food in the cafeteria is free. This is not an ordinary canteen in the school in its public yes, which is where the canteen is usually filled by street vendors with various kinds of snacks." Alexandria explained.
"The word is Alexandria" Natasha said. "All the food here we can take, for the cost of eating alone has been on the responsibility of the academy."
In other words, all the food in this cafeteria was provided by the academy to its students. Of course it's a very profitable thing for us. On the positive side we can save our pocket money, for the negative side it may be just a variant of food that is served. The cafeteria at this school only provides healthy food. There is no fried, meatballs, rice padang, or other high-fat foods. Actually I'm not a foodie like that, but another thing with Dani...
As we all picked up the dishes and lined up at the food provider's table, Dani showed a disappointed expression at the type of food being lined up on the table.
After taking food at the table of the food provider who was at the end of the canteen, we went to a table that was special to eat. Special dining table is the same as the food provider table, the size is long although not as long as the table of the food provider, a special dining table is only enough to sit on five people. The empty dining table is on the left side of the room, two steps from the wall, where the one-on-one table is completely empty. The five of us with garceps went to the table, with the cafeteria so crowded, we had to fight with other students.
Unfortunately, not only are we targeting the empty table, there is another group of students who are eyeing him as well. When Dani put her plate on the table, the other students also put her plate next to Dani.
"We got this place first!" Dani said with a defiant tone.
"No! Obviously we arrived first" Refused the other students.
"Obviously Dani put the plate first!" Alexandria said in an annoyed tone to help Dani.
"What do you mean, obviously Jack first put the plate down!" One of the student's friends who Dani challenged helped rival Dani in the argument.
Raihan did not know what to do, obviously his face showed a frantic expression looking at his comrade who had been involved in trouble with the other students on his first day at school.
"Haw..." I sighed then looked around. Found an empty place I went there, alone... I want to get out of this canteen as soon as possible, there is no point in me fighting over such a trivial matter.
I sat on an empty chair, then quickly ate my food. The food I take is rice with a small portion, plus vegetable spinach, carrot tomatoes and celery, for his own drinks I take apple juice.
When I bribed my food, Natasha went away from Dani who was still fighting in favor of Alexandria and Raihan who was standing next to her in a panic, (Raihan didn't help Dani fight.)
"What a child." Natasha Muttered.
Fortunately, the quarrel between the two of them did not lead to a serious fight, because there was a staff from the canteen who stopped them. As a result, the people who quarrel seized the empty place, forced to sit together. But because the atmosphere was uncomfortable, one of our classes left the place. Alexandria made it out of that place first, to my place and Natasha. Dani and Raihan wanted to follow Alexandria, but since there was no more empty space, they both inevitably had to sit in that place with an uncomfortable atmosphere accompanying them.
"I didn't expect you to make such a short woo." Natasha to Alexandria.
"The Motto of the Barnet family is a win! We must always achieve victory no matter how trivial the matter is." Said Alexandria proudly before the end of his meal as well.
The two of them then began to talk about their families. It started in Alexandria, then it was connected by Natasha. As someone who was born into a middle-class family, I don't understand why their family upholds such a thing. Even though I don't understand it, I can't blame the thinking of those who were instilled by their families as children. Instead, I place my respect on those who still hold fast to the family motto that has been taught to them since childhood.
Because Natasha and Alexandria are constantly talking while eating their food, their eating speed is fairly slow. When they had just finished half their portion, I who had been quietly enjoying my food had finished my meal, of course including the drinks I had ordered. My small portion of food also affects my eating speed.
"If you don't finish your meal, the break will run out without you noticing."
"Huh. Mira's right! We can't spend time chatting like this!" Alexandria Said.
Realizing their mistake, Alexandria and Natasha continued to eat their food in silence, their eating speed increased so they could spend the rest of their portion less than ten minutes.
There was still a few minutes before the end of his lunch break was completely over. It is impolite to sit in the cafeteria while there are still many people waiting for an empty place, for this reason I invite Natasha and Alexandria back to class. When we got to class, Natasha and Alexandria sat down in their seats and continued their conversation, which had stopped in the cafeteria.
"In my family, I'm the only one who doesn't inherit the abilities of my family members." Natasha started the story.
"really... L'm... Also sympathetic to it," Alexandria sadly responded to Natasha's words.
"You don't have to sympathize with me. I was not ostracized by my family. Instead they showed more affection because of my illness." Natasha replied in a slight panic.
"so yeah... Mercifully... I know what it's like to be born into a family of high-class witches. We, as one of them, are required to be the same as the others. Otherwise, his fate would be terrible." The word Alexandria looked into the corner of the room with eyes like looking far into the past, her expression was sad, indicating that something had happened so tragically in her life in the past. Natasha and I understood her facial expressions, making us her new acquaintances not intending to dig deeper into her past.
"It seems I made the atmosphere dark. Forget what I said just now! Oh. Right Mira, how's your family?" Realizing that she was making things uncomfortable, Alexandria awkwardly smiled averted the subject by questioning the condition of my family.
".... There is nothing special in my family. Unlike you who were born into a high-class family, I was born into a middle-class family. My family also did not take down any special magic like your family. And there's no motto that's really emphasized on me and my brother." I paused for a moment, thinking about how much information I should give the two of them, after organizing all the information in my head, I ended up talking about my family.
"eeehs... So yeah... Speaking of your sister. Like he did yesterday he wanted to ask me something? I didn't hear his words because I was in a hurry yesterday."
".... Aaa... It's better... You don't need to know that."
Turning my gaze from Alexandria's face that showed her curiosity, I chose not to tell her that my sister actually wanted PDKT to her.
"eeeeehs... You're making me even more curious! Come on tell me what your sister wants from me."
"Haha...." Natasha laughed out loud at the Alexandria who was so stubbornly urging me.
"Don't just laugh! Help me! This kid is so stubborn!"
