Chapter 52: Asking for Restu

Meanwhile, Richard who was driving his vehicle stared at the annoyed expression Rachel showed from the rearview mirror. The man who had been, with a rancid and sweet face, had now changed his expression to cold and flat. There was really only a charade that he showed the woman, without Rachel realizing that he was just a decoy that would help Richard review the past.

Don't ask how Ben's heart is pounding right now. Not only did it feel awkward, but knowing who Richard really was made him no longer able to breathe free air from then on. Ben bent his eyes until the seeds almost out of place. If the one who spoke like that was another rich man and not Richard's figure, of course Ben would agree to it without a second thought. However, now the case was different, not only did Richard's position turn out to be Diana's sole heir, but it also seemed to announce to the world, if Ben approves of a second relationship that will prove fatal to Rachel's safety later.

“Are you still not sure about me, Father-in-law? Could it be that I am still not qualified to bear the title of daughter-in-law to you?” richard asked with emphasis.

With Richard's current status, it was impossible for Ben to refuse Richard's request. On one hand, she was happy that Rachel was marrying a single heir. However, on the other hand, Richard's current status was not an ordinary person that would certainly bring great problems between the future and their family's past. Ben was forced to agree to Richard's request with a heavy heart. However, she hopes Rachel will not get caught up in the business venture that seems like she just started it.
