Avoidance and Honesty

Arion went straight to their room on the third floor followed by Karina. Arriving at the room Arion went straight into the bathroom. Karina walked up to the balcony enjoying the beautiful sunset. 

Twenty minutes later Arion came out of the bathroom with only a towel. Karina immediately went to the bathroom to refresh her body with a change of clothes.

Time shows at 19:00. Karina finished her shower and came out wearing casual clothes.

Whether what possessed Arion or Karina, while in the room there was not a single conversation spoken. If that Karina is a natural thing because she is an irritant to talk if it is not important. As for Arion, I don't know if he feels guilty for Karina.

Dinner time also arrived. Arion and Karina immediately went out towards the dining room. There was waiting for Maria and Amri.

They had dinner in silence because no one had opened their voices. Until finally, it was Mariah who started the conversation.

"Karina how was your day?" ask Mary after she finished eating.

Karina glanced at Arion then looked at Maria.

"As usual Ma. I'm happy" replied Karina.

"Hmm ... and you're Arion? You must be happy if you bring supplies every day with Karina," Maria told Arion.

Arion who had just finished eating immediately replied.

"Happy dong Ma. But not every day. Kasian Karina goes back and forth every day to my office. There will still be work, too" said Arion.

"Jeez .. Mama forgot Honey," said Maria.

"Yes it's Ma. Arion went to the room first huh," Arion's saying went straight up and walked towards his room on the third floor.

"Eh .. wait Honey ...," prevent Maria but is no longer heard by Arion. Mary looked back at Karina. Karina just shrugged her shoulders.

"Ma, Karina also went to the first room yes," said Karina.

"Oh .. yes it is there. Don't fight first. You are still newlyweds" Maria said. Karina simply smiled and headed straight for Arion's room on the third floor.

Arriving at the room, Karina found Arion sitting on the headboard by reading a file. Karina took her place beside Arion.

"How's it?" ask Karina.

Arion stopped reading the file. He did not understand the direction Karina spoke.

"How's what?" ask Arion.

"Your meeting was with KS Tirta Grub" explained Karina.

"Bad," answered Arion putting the file he read earlier on the nightstand and immediately laid his body to sleep. Arion pulled the blanket over his entire body to the head.

"I'm sorry" said Arion quietly but could still be heard by Karina.

"For what?" ask Karina. 

"Today's events" replied Arion.

Karina just shook her head. Feeling that Arion was asleep Karina pulled out her laptop. He checked the company's data and the cafe.

An hour has passed. Two hours to midnight. Karina who used to sleep late at night continued her work.

Karina has finished checking the company and cafe data. He glanced at Arion who was asleep beside him. 

Don't blame me, inner Karina.

Karina intends to look at the data of Jaya Company. Karina who was originally a hacker can easily access those data. Karina is looking for a cooperation proposal that Jaya Company submitted to her company.

Karina quickly found it and read the contents. Karina smiled faintly at reading it.

You do have Arion's abilities. This proposal of yours can actually pass at today's meeting. However, your own fault made the CEO upset, inner karima smiled cynically.

The middle of the night came. Karina started to get sleepy. He quickly closed his laptop and kept it. Karina moved her neck to the right to the left to get rid of the soreness and immediately lay down and slept.

Morning has arrived. The sunlight that entered and broke through from the glass window disturbed Karina's sleep.

Thankfully, the alarm did not sound. Karina slowly opened her eyes and got up while stretching out her hands. He glanced at the person sleeping beside him but did not find Arion.

Time shows at 07:00. Karina immediately stood up and went into the bathroom. Thirty minutes later Karina came out of the bathroom wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Karina walked over to the dressing table and put on a quick makeup. Soon he went out into the kitchen.

"Kar .. Are you awake? Mama thinks you're still sleeping because of last night" said Maria, who saw Karina walking up to her.

"Last night? Why is it Ma?" tanya Karina opened the refrigerator and took the milk.

"So she said Arion, Mama don't wake you up .. said you were exhausted after fighting last night," explained Maria with a radiant face.

Karina wince in wonder. 

A fight? inner Karina.

"Hmm .. Yes Ma fought against mosquitoes" replied Karina.

"Eh ...," Mary's response was mistaken. She thinks Arion and Karina are making grandchildren for her.

"Arion where's Ma?" ask Karina.

"Arion he has gone to the office he said there is important business" replied Maria.

"Owh .. If Papa?" ask Karina morning.

"Papa to your house. He said he was worried about Grandpa" answered Maria.

Time shows at 08:00. Karina tells Maria to go to the cafe. But instead of heading to the cafe, Karina drives her car to the company. 

"Good morning Miss," said Lila and Raina at the same time after Karina arrived in front of her room.

"Morning," answered Karina briefly straight into her room followed by Lila and Raina.

"Miss ...we received a cooperation application from Alantas Company," Raina said.

"Isn't that the company led by Calvin?" karina asks who made Raina wrong when Karina mentions Calvin's name.

"I-iya Miss," Raina replied nervously.

"Just put it on his proposal table. Later I will learn first," said Karina opened the laptop on her desk.

"Lila, do we have any shares in Jaya Company?" ask Karina.

"There's a Miss but not enough. We only have a 20% stake in Jaya Company" Lila replied.

"20%? More than I thought. I want within the next month the stock to change to 30%" Karina ordered.

"Yes Miss," replied Lila.

Hours home from work arrived Arion immediately drive his car home. His face looked sour. All day long Joya calls him asking to meet him but is ignored by Arion.

He chose to avoid Joya. Arriving at home he immediately entered the room without looking and talking to Karina originally just returned home. Karina who was sitting in the living room was staring at Arion.

Dinner has arrived. Arion remains in his silence which leaves Karina and Maria confused. Amri has not returned from Karina's house because she decided to stay there. Arion only speaks if asked that, the answer is only yes and no. 

That's how Arion shies away from Karina and Joya. It didn't feel like two weeks had passed after their wedding. Arion still avoided.

He always got up early and went straight to the office without breakfast. The reason that Arion gave Mary was always the same, it was an important affair.

Today is monday. For some people Monday is a busy and annoying day. I don't know what the reason is ? Arion woke up from sleep. He glanced at the clock on the nightstand. 

5 Hours, Inner Arion.

Arion turned his face to look at Karina beside him. But he did not find it.

Arion turned his gaze the other way and found Karina sitting sweetly on the sofa by folding her hands under her chest. Karina looked at herself.

"Why? Why are you avoiding me?" ask flat Karina.

"Hmm .. That problem is yes. I'm not avoiding you. I have important business" replied Arion.

"What's? What business?" ask Karina again. You could say Karina is currently interrogating Arion. Arion sat on the edge of the bed.

"Company" replied Arion briefly.

"Why do you have to lie? Are you in touch with your old lover again?" asked Karina chuckled softly.

Arion was silent at Karina's question. He got up from the bed and walked to the window.

"No. I also avoid it" replied Arion.

"You mean??" ask Karina wonder.

Arion took a deep breath and turned to look at Karina who was still sitting on the sofa.

"Would you like to hear my story?" ask Arion.

Karina was silent before long she nodded.

"Explain," said Karina.

"Hmm .. I don't really love you! I still love Joya" said Arion.

Hearing that Karina was silent for a moment. Then breathe out slowly. 

"Continue" said Karina.

"I married you because of my parents' threats. If I don't get married soon I'll lose it all" Arion continued.

"So your attitude has been fake all along?" ask Karina. His tone began to turn cold.

"It was originally just a show. But now this is my attitude" replied Arion.

Karina clapped her hands and stood up from the sofa. His face showed a pleased expression.

"Congratulations Arion Wijaya. If you become an actor, you will get an Oscar. But to me you're still a beginner! I've met a lot of people like you!" karina approached Arion.

"I appreciate your honesty. It's not fair that you're the only one who's honest" Karina continued.

"You mean??" ask Arion.

"I don't love you either. I married you because of Miss Wijaya's tears. This marriage is fake but real" Karina said, closing her face to Arion's ears.

"So .. we don't love each other. You don't love me but you love Joya. I don't love you either. So, we draw," continued Karina. Arion was still digesting Karina's words.

"We better end this relationship. I don't want to be a neglected wife" said Karina who made Arion round her eyes.

"No!!" reject firmly Arion. 

"Why? If we get divorced you'll be with Joya. You won't lose your legacy anyway" asked Karina.

"I don't want to divorce you. I'm starting to have a taste with you. Mama and Papa won't agree I'm divorcing you and marrying Joya. They won't approve of my relationship with Joya. I still need you" replied Arion holding Karina's shoulder.

"You are so selfish!!" ketus Karina's.

"Yes I'm selfish. I'm not gonna let you walk away from me. You're mine" said Arion hugging Karina.

"If so we have to move house. I don't want to see Mrs Wijaya's tears if I know her son and daughter-in-law don't love each other. That's the first condition if you want me to stay with you" Karina said, letting go of Arion's embrace.

"Is that the only condition?" ask Arion.

"That's the first. The second you can get in touch with Joya but you can't keep me close to anyone. Including Li and Gerry. The third one gave me 5% of Jaya Company shares" Karina continued.

"For the first and second terms I agree. But the third condition I can't" said Karina.

"Jeez .. Arion Wijaya!! I risked my happiness for your happiness and now I'm only asking for 5% of your shares you've turned them down. I can't live with you!" firmly Karina headed for the closet and picked up her suitcase.

Arion. Two conditions from Karina did benefit him. But for the third condition it is impossible. That stock he'll show for Joya. Arion twitched in his mind. 

Only 5. Sorry Joya I'll give your supposed stake to Karina, Arion's inner final.

"I agree to all your terms" said Arion, who stopped Karina from stuffing her luggage.

"Goodoo. I'm sure you won't be able to refuse my terms" Karina said smiling with satisfaction.
