The Struggle for Love

Those words repeatedly encoded in Maura's head. Like music playing over and over again and making her slowly open her eyes.

The hospital's distinctive smell, and white walls awaken Maura's consciousness to immediately recall what had happened.

The call made her smile and slowly turned her head towards the source of the voice.

A loving face greeted him.

"Lord...!" call Maura slowly.

Gerald stepped closer to the bed where Maura was lying.

"Thank God you're sober." Gerald said with a relieved face.

"I'm in the hospital?"

"Yes baby, you had an accident near the airport. Luckily, your helmet is well-mounted and protects your head. But your right hand is broken so it must be operated and casted" said Gerald while pointing at Maura's hand.

"I chased after Ben, but Ben was gone papa" Maura's cry broke as she recalled the incident that night.

Gerald stroked his daughter's head "You will definitely meet her again. Believe me, if you two love each other there's a way to be together again"

"I'm stupid, papa. It's so stupid that it threw away a man as good as Ben in my life"

Maura nodded. He felt pain all over his body at the moment. The most painful thing was losing Ben.

Maura will fight to get Ben back. He will look for Ben everywhere and apologize for everything he has done.

Maura's strong spirit in order to meet Ben again made him recover quickly and allowed to go home even with his hands still giped.

Alicia came to visit for 2 times when Maura was in the hospital. But when Maura asks about Ben, Alicia has no idea.

"Mommy doesn't know either, baby. Ben has never left without saying goodbye. Mommy is just as agitated as you are. Ben just told me through Mr. Leo, that he'd be fine. And going home is the right time" said Alicia with a sad face.

Maura harbored a deep longing. Every day he even always prayed that Ben's whereabouts could soon be known.

Today Faith decided to go to her husband's office. 2 weeks ago Opa Daren died and Faith knows that Ezekiel was so devastated by his opanya's death.

She was also happy that Rachel was with her. The two of them have cooked Joe and Ezekiel's favorite dishes so they can have lunch together in the office dear.

"Darling, I'm glad you came!" Ezekiel hugged his wife.

Faith nodded then took Maura to sit on the sofa. Others do the same.

"Can we help you?" ask Ezekiel.

"Please help me find where Ben is"

"I'm.I miss him a lot. I want to meet him." said Maura without being able to hold back her tears.

"We don't know where Ben is either. The phone is inactive. And he never told us at all" Ezekiel said.

"Ben told me once that Ezekiel and Joe had the power to track people down. You have great people who are very masterful of various advanced tools" Maura said as she wiped away her tears.

"Tante Alicia's been asking us to find Ben. But he is very difficult to trace. He never even used his credit card. All I know is that the day before Ben's disappearance, he took a sizable sum of cash in his account" Joe said with a sorry face.

"Please try again to track her whereabouts. Who knew he had already used his credit card" Maura said with a face so hopeful.

"We will definitely try Maura. You relax. Ben will be found. Now all you have to do is heal your hands first" Faith said.

Maura nodded "Alright. Then I go home first" said Maura. He greeted everyone in the room before leaving Ezekiel's room.

Rachel looked at Joe"Darling, can't you trace Ben's whereabouts? You can hack into various security systems so you can tell that if Ben doesn't use his credit card, he'll use his passport to travel, his face will be everywhere. You're very good at hacking CCTV"

"I'll sleep in Caleb and Chloe's room as long as you haven't found where Ben is" Faith said in a stern tone.

"Yes. I'll sleep in Joel's room before Ben's found" Rachel said. He looked at Faith "Come brother-in-law!"

The two beautiful women immediately came out of Ezekiel's room.

"Joe, quickly find Ben's whereabouts.I don't want to sleep alone for weeks" Ezekiel ordered.

"Good Boss! You're the only one who doesn't sleep alone!" joe said as he scratched his non-itchy head.

The night wind blew Maura's hair. He was standing on the Thames River. The gypsum in his hand was removed so that both hands were now freely holding the iron fence.

It had been a week since he came to Ezekiel's office. There is no word yet on Ben's whereabouts. And that means that Maura has had 3 months of deep longing for Ben. He lives in Ben's apartment. Because by staying there, he can still touch Ben's belongings, holding him tightly just as he hugs Ben's body which always carries warmth.

I don't know how many emails Maura sent Ben. But none of them Ben read.

And this Thames river is a place that always longs to be visited by him because this is where they first met.

Hp Maura rings. He was happy because it was a call from Faith.

"Maura, we've found where Ben is"

Maura's heart immediately beat rapidly. His eyes were even very teary.

"really? Where is she?" maura asked impatiently.

"He's in New York"

"I'll be gone in the morning. Thank you Faith"
