Our summer vacation is over, it's time to get back on campus again.
In my second year of college here I decided to work part-time, pretty good I could have extra pocket money again. Incidentally on my campus there is a Part-Time Job Fair, so many companies offer job openings for students who really want to work part-time. And I submitted almost to all companies, but sadly no one accepted me, there were some who accepted me but I did not take it because the location was too far from where I live now. I want the location is still around where I live, because if far away I have to go out of money again to travel back and forth. Dear dong money yes.
Not desperate, I got around the location near where I live to distribute CVs to shops or restaurants that might be able to accept me. But I was rejected too, they said I lacked experience or their staff was full. So to work here the most priority is to have previous work experience. I have never worked though. In the end my campus opened vacancies again, so this is part time work on campus that is from the University. In the end I applied for a job so Security, I think yes already work what is important work first, because to be a cashier in the store I can not, because there is no experience. There was another offer for me to work at that bar to serve beer, but refuse, I don't want to.
My friends told me I couldn't, but I still wanted to try. I consider this a challenge for myself, and to seek experience as well of course.
I just finished the interview and I got accepted. I'm grateful that I finally have a job. So I work for 20 hours a week, for her working hours I can adjust to my college schedule.
Because being Security at the club, it's my working time at night. My job is to secure people who are already drunk, rest, check the entrance ticket, even catch people if anyone is using drugs. I feel cool in my work uniform, also wearing a walkie talkie communication tool that is used in the ear. It's so bad, I'm hahaha.
On my first day at work, I was happy but a little nervous as well, knowing my first experience. For the first day, I was partly in charge of checking the entrance ticket. While checking I noticed the surroundings while listening to my team speak mentioning some codes for help on this radio channel attached to my ear, I listened to it carefully. It turns out too. I like this job.
In the following days I was on patrol at some point inside the club. This part is a bit stressful because I have to deal with drunk people who most of them are rese and difficult to manage.
" Red, red, hello." Red is the code if I need help. I needed help because I found a drunk who was unconscious.
"OK, I'm coming" replied one of my colleagues.
Finally the unconscious man was taken away by my male colleague.
"Alex, my work hours are over. I'm first yeah!" I say goodbye to one of my colleagues tonight.
...****************...
Right now I was in the employee room to change clothes, after I finished I rushed to go home and rest in my beloved room.
As I walked through the hallway, I saw someone I seemed to know just came out of the bathroom door.
"Peter!" Called him. He turned to me and turned his lips a little, and it was him. I saw the look on his face a little wrinkled.
"Hi, Linda. Nice to see you again" he said in a lethargic tone.
"I see you're not happy to meet me, look at your face tangled, not looking happy at all" I replied with a slight joking.
"Want me a drink?" I'll take the invitation, but tomorrow I'm off.
