The duchess's farewell party

The atmosphere of the duchess's banquet looked very crowded. It was not an ordinary party conducted by a duchess of vanguard. It was a duchess's farewell party and introduced a new duchess candidate.

Various nobles were present at the party. Nicole, who used to be the center of attention at every party, slightly shut herself down because she was now married to the future Duke of Vanguard. He understood how the reputation of the Vanguard family was.

He followed Vale every step. Suddenly Vale's hand is pulled by some of his best friends. They left Nicole alone. Nicole sighed and was a little upset. She stayed in place and watched over her husband. Several guests entered the house, and he was still waiting.

"Don't embarrass me! Watch out!" Threaten Vale when he approaches Nicole. He drove her into the house. "And I'll be home late tonight" he added.

"Alright." answered Nicole quietly.

Imelda and Nisa looked at the two people from a distance. They shake their heads. "They're too stiff, Nisa." said Imelda

"Yes, madam.."

"Find out where Vale's going. To my knowledge, your majesty has no agenda today."

"Well, madam." replied Nisa who immediately ran out.

"You alone? Where's husband?"ask a little old woman. Nicole knew the woman. It was Lady Isyrla. Almost every party the woman appeared carrying her daughter.

"Mylord went straight to the palace to meet your majesty, mylady." Answer Nicole friendly.

"outrageous. A beautiful woman like you was abandoned. You want to talk to me? My son is with Lady Elea. I am alone too. This show hasn't started yet."

Nicole looked around. Vale is not. "All right, mylady."

Nicole and the woman went out of the room and sat down to chat.

"How long have you been married?"tanyanya.

"Not long. Less than a month."

"It turns out to be young. When I got married, one month was the most romantic. Are you pregnant?"

Nicole shakes.

"Dearly enough. But, before you have children, you must be content with your husband. Moreover, in the next few weeks your husband will be crowned as the successor to the duke, right?"

"Yes, mylady."

Suddenly the woman held Nicole's hand and said. "You need to be patient, baby. Face everything with a smile. If you're not strong, you can go. That's natural. No one forbids it. If you want to cry, cry now."

Nicole felt overwhelmed. He felt his mother was advising him. He hugged the woman and cried.

"I don't know why I suddenly feel sorry for you."

"Thank you, mylady."

"Are you happy to be part of the Vanguard family?"

"Of course, mylady." Nicole replied as she let go of her embrace.

"Remove your tears, it looks like the show is about to start. Let's go in."

Nicole nodded slowly. When I entered, Imelda and Nisa were waiting at the door.

"How are you, baby?" imelda asked while hugging Nicole. When he hugged her, he looked at Lady Isyrla. He just nodded his head slowly and Imelda already knew the answer.

Lady Isyrla was a friend of Imelda. They have been friends since they were teenagers. Whatever problems Imelda was facing, Lady Isyrla was used to helping. "I went inside first, my son was waiting" he told Nicole, holding his shoulder.

Nicole turns around and releases her hug "Good, mylady. Thanks for everything."

Nicole smile. "I'm fine mom, oh. Mom." Nicole said nervously.

Imelda smile. "Why are you nervous like that? Call me by any name."

"I'd rather call you mama, because it reminds me of mama."

Imelda smile. He held Nicole's arm. "Let's go inside, I'll introduce you to some of the duchess' wives in Artaleta's kingdom."

Nicole smiled and followed Imelda into the room.

Nisa was standing next to Imelda as Nicole went around approaching the duchess.

"Paduka is currently in the palace, madam. It seems Mr. Vale is not there. According to the soldier who saw it, he took his horse to the Balmore area."

Imelda surprised. "Balmore?"

As many people know, Balmore is a city with high-level gambling and prostitution in the neighboring kingdom. It's not too far from Artaleta. But many merchants who sell at Artaleta stop first at Balmore. When King Juan was not married, he and Vale would often go there just for a drink.

Nicole was never happy today. He met a lot of great women. And that could be an important lesson for him. It was late in the evening, the Duchess of Vanguard did not allow her to go home. But she thought about her husband.

"Mam.." call Nicole. He feels unsettled.

The door opened loud. Nicole saw Vale there. Imeldapun.

"What's wrong? You drunk?"

Vale saw his mother. "Mother, I'm taking Nicole home now."

"Don't you just say you're gonna be home late to Nicole?"

"Yes, originally. I'm picking up Nicole now. Can he come home with me? We're still newlyweds anyway."

"I won't let Nicole come home tonight." cried Imelda.

Vale looked at Nicole. "Do you want to stay here?"

Nicole feels clumsy. "No mylord, I'm coming home with you."

Vale smiled at his mother. "Look at mom, Nicole prefers me."

On their way home, they spoke a thousand languages. Nicole felt able to breathe with relief when she was crying in front of a woman she did not even know. He glanced at Vale. Vale's a little drunk. If he had not remembered Lisa and the woman, he would have left the man beside him. Today he does not meet Lisa, he misses his cousin.

It's getting late. Nicole is tired of her activities today. He laid his body on the bed. His eyes were closed, although he was not sleepy. He suddenly thought of leaving if Vale's treatment was still the same. Suddenly I heard the door shut tight. Vale approached him in a hurry. Nicole felt Vale's body lying on her side. He muttered but Nicole did not know what he was mumbling.

Suddenly her hand turned over Nicole's body quickly. Nicole opened her eyes and she immediately looked at the two sharp eyes of Vale. His heart was pounding hard. Both of Vale's eyes looked at him. His hands cupped Nicole's cheeks together. "Woman bitch, you devil woman!" Her speech.

Nicole took off Vale's grip. "You're drunk!" He felt himself threatened. He tried to get out of bed and ran out. But just as her foot was stepping on the floor, Vale had already pushed Nicole's body back onto the bed. Nicole groans in pain. But Vale doesn't care. He put his face closer to Nicole's.

Nicolepun threw his face aside. He has to get out of there. "No! No!" scream Nicole. Blindly, Vale tried to kiss Nicole's lips forcefully. Nicole refuses by pushing Vale's body until he hits the wall.

Nicole started shedding tears. He was never treated harshly by anyone.

Nicole ran out leaving Vale holding his head as a result of the collision. He went to the kitchen to get a drink.

He drank water to calm his heart. The palace looked empty. Elisha asked permission to go to his mother's house. What's he supposed to do? He was really scared of Vale.

Nicole slowly climbed the stairs a moment later. He looked into his room from the slightly open door. Vale's asleep. He may have forgotten what happened tonight. Nicole is sure.
