Mute Witness
Boyfriends

Tonight Tito’ came to the room with a face that implied fatigue. He then threw himself on the chair after putting the Little Book on the table as usual.

“Kak, tonight we are out yes!” Excited Tito’'s only sister I know lately her name is Adi.

“Sorry yes.”

“Busy again?” Cut Adi did not accept before Tito’ continued his sentence.

“Yes.. Like that.” Reply Tito’ smiled implying an apologetic expression.

“What's busy, sister? Lately it has been very difficult to meet.” Adi protest.

Tito’ did not respond and just glanced anxiously at me. As expected, not even his family knows about me!

“What are you doing here anyway? How come, every time he comes here the door of his room is always locked?” Adi looks upset not being responded to.

She started walking around the room hoping to find something her brother might be hiding.

Tito’ again glanced anxiously at the blank paper I was still perched gracefully on top of the print. Adi still looks busy looking for something on the shelf.

“What the hell are you looking for?” Tito’ trying to relax.

“Who knows brother is hiding something here.” Said Adi giving up paying attention to the shelves and choosing towards the Tito’ table.

Wawat!!!

Tito’ kneeling looks thinking hard. Very anxiously he glanced at me who was located in the desk drawer.

Although locked with an invisible door, it will still be a target for Adi if Tito’ does not do something.

“Nothing I'm hiding. What should I hide from you anyway?” She said serileks maybe. Tito’ then left the room. I'm sure, he's hoping Adi follows him.

But he was wrong..

“Wow.. What paper is kak?” Adi looked at my paper in amazement and immediately picked it up and bent it.

“Strong once.”

Tito’.

How will he make excuses?

“This paper is for what kak?” Adi asked curiously by keeping looking at me.

“It.. Sister find in Husain family.” Tito’ looks to surrender.

“Aaa.. In place of new duties sister last ten months huh?”

“Iya.”

“What does this have to do with sister busyness?”

Tito’ silence. He seemed to think of the best words. Will he reveal his secret?

“Ya.” The answer in the end.

“You know, the family is the manager of the gold mine. Such paper is very easy to find there.” Further.

I know he's lying. My paper is limited printed. Of course not everyone can have it. But I know, that's his best attempt to cover me up.

“I can take it?” Adi pleads.

“Do not!” Shouting reflexes.

“Why? Can't sister take it again?” Adi Protest.

He looks unsuspecting.

“It was actually an important paper that only the Husain family and the advisory board could have.” Tito’ seems to have no other ideas.

He's back to lying.

“Why?” Disappointed adi.

“Important tasks. Too complicated for you to understand.” Tito was trying to joke.

“I'm not a child anymore brother. I've SMA.” Reply protest.

“For me you are a child.” Tito’ embraces his sister and tries to take her out.

“Eh.. That's a daily note huh?” Adi looks enthusiastic to see the Little Book.

His attention was distracted from me.

Tito’ looks grimacing..

His efforts failed again..

“I see ya.” Adi quickly snatched the Little Book.

Tito’.

“Wah.. My sister is now really an adult. Already playing secrets’an.” Adi smiled full of investigation.

“Who is he?” Adi flirts while trying to snatch the Little Book.

We all looked at him question mark. Mean what?

“Disini contains only regional secrets!” Tito’ said as he continued to try to keep the Little Book away from him.

“I can't believe it. This time, I like to isolate myself. Must be because of someone. Come on, show me.” He said impatiently.

He seemed to be trying harder to snatch the Little Book. Quickly, Tito’ avoids it.

“I'm not isolating myself. I just do my job.”

“Doing work with all door shut? I can't believe it. You must have a boyfriend, right? Because it closes itself here to be free to communicate with him?”

Adi urged with a shitty demeanor. We were all confused and trying to digest his point.

“Ngakk!!” Deny Tito’ with red blushing ears and face.

That's an expression of shame..

But why should he be ashamed?

Tito’ left the room with a slap. The little book he brought with him. Adi finally got hooked and went out of the room.

“OK, where are you going tonight?” Tito’ finally relented.

“Loh.. Not that anyone wants you to work on.” Adi followed while continuing to tease him.

“If sister comes out with me. Later he was angry.” Adi kept teasing her brother. His voice now sounded faint.

“I told you, brother doesn't have!!” Shouted Tito’ denied.

“What's the boyfriend?” Ask Political Science.

“Is that something embarrassing?” Ask again.

Frankly I don't know. If I look at the other friends, they seem as confused as I am.

“It's sort.. Relationships between humans, men and women.” Looks like Surat knows what that means. Our attention was finally focused on him. I really hope to find an explanation.

“What kind of relationship?” Ask enthusiastically. I've seen some kind of human interaction. But, about my boyfriend, I have absolutely no picture.

“I also don't know.” The letter answered with a sniff.

We were all suddenly disappointed.

“Not to think about. Our capacity as a book cannot reach it.” The letter's response disappointed us even more.

“But why did you know that it was a relationship between a man and a woman?” Political Science does not want to give up, of course we support it.

The letter seemed desperate..

“Because among the mail friends, some were once utilized by them!”

“What's it like?” My insistence.

“Just share information as like mail function usually.” Answer the letter finally. But he seems to be covering something up.

“If the function is as usual, then why do you limit it only to men and women?” Ask Political Science.

We are curious too. Our attention was again focused on the Letter hoping to get additional information.

“Iya.. But.. Their form of information is somewhat different than usual. The perpetrator who told the park-friends was only between men and women.” Answer the letter that somehow looks embarrassed.

“Different how?” My insistence.

“Eh.. It's a little lebay.. It is full of metaphors.and sometimes contains strange languages that we the Letters do not know what they mean.

But strangely, the reader always smiles alone and often laughs loosely. What a strange reaction

in my opinion, because I myself as a government letter never saw such a reaction.”

“It is what I often find is the opposite reaction, the expression of anger, anxiety or annoyance especially if I carry the information containing the command.  Hence, when Surat's friend told me about it, I didn't believe.” Evidently.

We're still confused. But it seems only up to that is the knowledge of the Letter.

“Actually I am very curious about the information Tito’ will share for me tonight. But because of the mysterious girlfriend.” I was disappointed.

“Gold.. Did you know that you are the Tito’ girlfriend that Adi refers to?”

That's a mock question from the letter to me. I don't know why I wasn't offended. I'm happy, though.

The gold.. It was the call I liked the most all along.

“I'm not a girl know!” I protest. We all laughed again. Friendship between books had unknowingly intertwined in this room.
