Chapter 338: The Perfect Plan

Giant Lizards are amphibians. They can live in caves, sleep in mud, can live off vegetables, and eat meat at other times. Such an all-rounded animal species is difficult to deal with. "It looks like we have to make a move tomorrow," Mo Fan said.

They would not be able to stop the hunters from feeding themselves to the beast. Moreover, it would ruin their ambitious plan to kill the beast.

Furthermore, Mo Fan felt that if they waited, the shell of the beast would soon grow back.

In the weak lighting of the campfire, Mo Fan started drawing on the ground with a stick as he drew up his plan.

"Brother Fan, are you implying that we should have poisonous insects attacking the Xuanwu Lizard?" Zhang Xiaohou's eyes blinked.

"Almost?" Li Man pulled a long face.

"After all, it's useful in this situation." Mo Fan did not want to explain further. “The plan is simple; we will lure poisonous insects to Xuanwu Lizard. The poison was powerful enough to weaken a Commander-level demonic beast. All we have to do is let the Xuanwu Lizard kill the poisonous insects, and we will use its poison to kill the Xuanwu Lizard.”

Zhang Xiaohou nodded quickly. He was very confident that his plan would work. He asked after a slight pause, "So, who will lure him to the giant beast?"

Mo Fan and Li Man did not respond. The cave suddenly became silent, apart from the crackling sound of the bonfire.

Zhang Xiaohou pointed at his nose and said in a somewhat stiff tone, "You're asking ME to do it?"

Mo Fan and Li Man nodded simultaneously. None of them had comfortable movement abilities, while on the other hand, Zhang Xiaohou had the Wind Element and the Earth Element, respectively, and he has learned techniques useful in tracking down enemies and hiding his presence in the military. He was clearly the perfect candidate for a difficult mission.

Zhang Xiaohou knew he had nowhere to escape. He muttered softly, "Why do I feel you two reached that conclusion before this?"

“We will bring poisonous insects and Xuanwu Lizards to this specific location. Therefore, we need someone who lures poisonous insects, and someone else who lures Xuanwu.” Lizards Mo Fan poked at a place close to the center of the swamp with a stick.

Zhang Xiaohou nodded.

On second thought, Zhang Xiaohou was confused. He exclaimed, “So what next after we bring the poisonous insects and Xuanwu Lizard there? Aren't we gonna be flanked from both sides? We will be killed first among them!”

The plan was perfect, but the execution was strange.

The biggest problem of luring demonic beasts to fight each other was to ensure a safe escape from the situation. Did they really think the savage beasts would just meet each other and fight fiercely while the bait just turned the corner and fled?

Zhang Xiaohou immediately realized and said, "Sister Fan, so you mean someone will accept us there?"

"That's fine. Once we lure Xuanwu Lizards and poisonous insects to the place, the ground there is rather fragile. A few destructive Intermediate Spells would make a hole open. It would then drain the mud like a vortex, and we would be able to drive it and head into the underground passageway.

“HAHA, sneaky escape! Demonic beasts will fight each other, and we even have time to change into clean clothes before taking our loot! Muahahaha!” Zhang Xiaohou laughed out loud.
