Mr. Zombies

Mr. Zombies
Assault

Jason's growl made my heart beat 100 times faster - this is probably the record for the most heartbeats in my life on earth. We swiftly took a position, Jason at the front door stood guard while we exited through the back door.

Our hands are now brandishing weapons, looking vigilantly watching around. If Jason is at the very back, then Leah is at the front. Staring at her wide back and slender hips, making me even in this condition admire Leah. Now I understand why women can huddle around Leah, even giving her valentine chocolates every day. The reason is simple, Leah really displays the impression of 'girl crush' in the real world, making anyone fascinated with courage and charisma.

While the men I guarantee 100%, they are attracted to Leah because of her beauty and easy going attitude, which makes anyone feel comfortable when with her. While the middle is filled by me and Selena, two of the most novice humans in terms of shooting. Even I wanted to laugh chuckling now when I saw my overwhelmed hand holding a rifle.

Leah opened the back door, still being cautious and putting on a high alert. Jason said the zombies usually move 1 way and they tend not to have the ability to think high like humans. So if there were any zombies coming from the front door, then we would have to escape from the back door immediately, and vice versa. And somehow, Jason managed to guess the direction of the arrival of the zombies before they even came. Just looking at the trees from the window.

Suddenly Leah's steps came to a halt, making my nose hit Leah's back. I was just about to ask Leah why she stopped, and suddenly my hair bristled, watching what was behind the door. Not too far away, stood 10 zombies that slowly walked closer with a very terrible body condition.

"Damn! Leah, hurry"

Jason's screams made Leah flinch from her shock. He started to pick up his gun and prepare to shoot.

Jason was still focused on the back, even my amateur ears could hear a growl from behind.

"Nelsie back up Leah, Selena back up me. Shoot their feet, try near the eye area. Remember, don't spend too much on bullets"

Jason's orders were half-screaming

"Focus, or die here"

Jason ended his speech, deliberately putting emphasis on the word 'dead'.

I grimaced, of course we wouldn't die right away. We will become a transitional zombie that can still be healed before finally changing completely and becoming a real crazy zombie that means the same as dying.

The sound of gunfire was mutually simple. I focused on aiming at the foot area, initially some of my shots missed before finally starting to hit the right position. The back is not much different. The sound of collisions at the door was heard many times, indicating that someone was trying to break the door.

Well, if my parents see how much sweat is soaking up my shirt, maybe they'll have a big thanksgiving. Suddenly worry hit me. God, I hope my family is okay.

Bangs..

And one last zombie blocking our escape path collapsed to the ground, motionless. Leah approached the now-exposed zombie, checking with her feet, making sure there was no more movement from the zombie's body.

The three of us immediately cheered cheerfully, only Jason remained with an expression full of anticipation.

"Lo cool Leah"

I was amazed as I patted Leah on the shoulder.

Not bothering to dismiss my compliments, Leah puffed her chest, her smile as if to say that she was indeed cool.

At least we can breathe a little. Based on the information that Jason once revealed, the zombies will not have the initiative to surround the house before there is one zombie that starts it first.

"Run, hurry!"

Jason who was in the back started to urge me and Leah to run immediately.

Leah smiled and said in a calming tone towards Jason

"Calm Jas, even if there are 1 or 2 zombies that appear from the side, let me shoot"

Not to mention until the guardrail area, Selena suddenly pulled my clothes, making my steps stop. He pointed to the side, behind the trees not far from us.

I followed the direction of Selena's gaze, freezing instantly upon seeing the figure of a man standing with a perfectly upright body. I squinted my eyes, making sure what I saw. However I judged, the figure looked like a human, let alone its body standing upright as if all its bones and joints were working properly. Unlike the zombies who tend to stand with drooping bodies.

"Damn!"

Jason's loud bellow was heard along with a low roar, similar to the sound of a savage beast. My biology teacher often shows National Geoghrapic shows when we study animal diversity, never once have I heard a sound like this. It is similar to the sound of wild animals, but lower and make the ears hurt even though not too loud.

Furthermore, the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard telling from beside us, left and right. The figure slowly approached, then leaned against the trees, seemingly smiling and preparing to watch something interesting. Sure enough, before long a horde of zombies began to appear from the left and right. As if following the command of the superior.

I widened my eyes wide, deeply shocked by what I was witnessing. Didn't Jason say that zombies tend to move one way? So why are they currently able to appear from the left and right?. I subconsciously looked back at the direction where the figure was standing. But nil! he's gone and there's nobody there.

"Run! From the front door!"

It was Jason's shouting that once again awakened us. I don't know how many times Jason who always looks calm yelled all day.

Even on the first night we faced the zombies, Jason was always calm. It was as if he was ready to face what was in front of him, until I became suspicious of Jason.

Flinched, we immediately followed Jason's orders, immediately running to the front door. Jason kicked hard to the date door from his hinge and fell down with a thud.

He then fired several shots expertly, subverting the 5 zombies that were in front. He ran fast, continuing to shoot with Leah towards the zombies that were still left at the front door.

"Run as fast as you can"

Jason shouted again, mixed with the sound of gunfire and the sound of bodies hitting the ground. We simultaneously nodded silently, focused on clearing the escape area.

Running and continuing to run, like running is a mandatory activity that I have to do from this second. As soon as the area was clear of zombies, we started running fast. Following Jason's steps, splitting the forest, as if this was an area he had become accustomed to.

I don't know why, I feel like I have to look back. As soon as I took a quick peek, my eyes again caught the figure of the man who was standing behind the trees. Standing among the zombies that suddenly stopped chasing us.
