Mr. Zombies
Gotchas! I've found you (4)

There is no word that can describe the atmosphere of the night in a forest other than 'scrambling'. But unlike the night conditions in other forests that occasionally sound the voice of night animals, this forest is actually completely deserted. So quiet without a sound, even the animals of the night there is no one who mutually agreed. It was as if they understood that something very dangerous was invading their habitat.

A sound of objects dragged that can break the silence of the forest. But instead of reducing the sense of gripping, the sound of drag actually adds to the creepy impression of this forest.

The sound of drag came from a man who was walking through the night. Moved his nose, utilizing the sharpness of his sense of smell that exceeded all other senses in his body.

The figure grinned, raised his index finger, fiddled with his index finger that was only half-living. He pointed in several directions in turn, as if playing, randomly determining which location he was going to.

Of course the figure already knew which direction he should take, by following his tantalizing smell alone was enough to let him know where his feet should go.

But doing this caused a sensation of opium for him. Imagine how the owner of the fragrant aroma does not realize that he is playing with the fate of the owner of the aroma. Pretending to determine the direction, even though he is ready to pounce on his prey.

The figure then stopped at a large tree, rendering its body casually. Actually not too far away for him to reach the position of the owner of the delicious aroma. But he decided to delay surprising the owner of the scent whose faint scent alone could make his saliva drip. Isn't prey best at eating when it's full of resistance?.

The grin grew wider on his lips. He sat under a big tree. Deliberately buy time, imagine how delicious the owner of the aroma if caught when full of resistance.

***

My eyes opened after a moment of silence. This time it was not because he could not sleep, but because he wanted to urinate.

I sat down, looking at Jason, who was waiting for me, watching the area around our retreat. Ah, it seems like this time is Jason's schedule of standing guard.

Duh, this is why my bladder can't be cooperated anyway. Why did he have to fight in the middle of the night?. How could I possibly ask Jason to accompany me to pee?. I glanced at Selena and Leah who were fast asleep.

All right, just hold it. I then went back to lying down, trying to close my eyes again, hoping that my bladder could be compromised. But after just a few minutes I immediately sat back down, unable to withstand the tightness.

"Jas"

Call me slowly.

Jason turned around, looking at me with a questionable expression.

"Gue.." I hesitated a little to continue my words.

"What?"

I exhaled heavily, inevitably I have to be honest if I don't want to suffer or pee in my pants.

"Gue wants to pee"

I said as slow as I could. It feels like my face is flushed now for enduring the embarrassment.

Actually I want to wake Selena. But Selena's schedule was right before Jason, so it was certain Selena had just fallen asleep after an hour and a half of vigil. Leah had not been asleep for long. Based on our watch schedule, I was the first one on guard duty, so my sleep was more than enough.

"Come"

Without much ado Jason began walking towards a safe location for me to urinate.

Actually I wanted to refuse and offer to go alone. But Jason didn't even allow me to utter my refusal and just walked right away.

I quickly finished my wish. So relieved when my bladder went back loose. After my business was done, I walked towards Jason, who was standing behind me.

A little more steps I got near Jason. A shrill sounded in my ear. Makes me close my ears and squat.

The voice then changed with a low roar, just like I had heard when we met the deathster yesterday.

"Milk!"

Holding my shoulder, shaking my body slowly over and over again.

The voice was still heard, even stronger than before. I tried to squeeze my ears, trying to get rid of the sound that felt so close to my ears.

"Nurse!"

"Nels!"

Jason cupped my face, forcing me to look into his eyes.

Slowly the voice began to disappear, until there was nothing I heard.

"Lo is okay?"

Jason asked worriedly, turning my body left and right, making sure there were no injuries.

I'm nodding. Occasionally rubbing my ears. What the hell just happened? What sound did I hear?. Various statements in my mind. I'm sure there's something strange about me.

Not just ringing in the ear, but the shrill and roar felt close, as if being heard right in my ear. My reflexes glanced left and right, making sure that my hearing had nothing to do with the appearance of the Deathster. If the deathster had appeared at a time like this, we would have been the least sought.

"But why, Nels?"

Jason asked, helping me to stand up.

With great difficulty I stood up. It seemed like the sound had succeeded in making my knees feel weak, until I almost fell to my feet. Even Jason had to pick me up.

"Lo, you hear something?"

I asked, while releasing Jasoj's grip after my legs felt stronger.

Jason scrunched his brows in confusion

"Sound?"

I nodded my head quickly. Jason was speechless, the frown on his eyebrows deepened. Before long, he shook his head, hinting that he had heard nothing.

I gulped, soaking my throat which suddenly felt dry. In other words, was it just me who heard that voice? Oh my God, am I hallucinating?.

No, I was 100% sure that my ears actually heard a deafening shrill sound then followed by a low roar, similar to a deathster roar.

But Jason said he didn't hear anything. So, how could it be that I was the only one who heard that voice?.

"What sound is Nels?"

Jason looked at me questioningly.

Actually I want to tell you what sound I just heard. But I finally decided to shake my head

"Ah, it seems like my ears are being penetrated by insects. It's buzzing"

I answered while scratching my head which was not itchy at all.

Jason raised an eyebrow, looking at me unsure, as if he realized that I was hiding something. But he finally did not ask any further after observing my expression that refused to tell a story.

We continued our steps, returning to our resting place. Along the way we were silent. Jason seemed busy thinking about something that was out of nowhere, while I was busy thinking about the voice earlier. The dilemma between that is my delusion, insect sting or really a real sound.
