METANOIA, A Wonder Place

METANOIA, A Wonder Place
Episode 6

            “Asaga you screamed loudly once.”

A faint voice that finally began to sound, driving away the horrified silence I felt, apparently Arie from earlier woke me up, shook my shoulders, shook my body.

Even until I realized he was still shaking my shoulders, “I woke”, as I tried to strengthen my body, while trying to raise my body, restoring my eyesight and adjusting to the sun glare that had filled my room.

             “What time is it?”

            “It's almost noon.”

            “Almost?”

“Yes, it's 11 o'clock, mom told me to wake you.”

“You better take a shower before descending,” Sahut Arya who I just realized was there beside me, sitting sweetly and quietly on the side of my mattress.

“You are very radiant.” Arie complains while sweeping his hand over my blanket.

“Say mother I will soon come down”, while rubbing my eyes and lowering my feet from the mattress.

The two of them came out of my room, after finishing the task that my mother gave me, waking me up.

How can I sleep all morning, and just get up. My body felt tired and sticky, maybe I should take a shower, I walked while sleepy and stopped in front of the dressing table, in the mirror reflected my face with swollen eyes, like crying.

“Do I cry while sleeping?” I thought as I watched every corner of my face, and patted my cheeks. My eyes were swollen, and the spots on my face were becoming clearer with each passing day.

I turned my gaze, watching the dresser, full of rose carvings that were in line with

other prabotan. “About what is this room called?” An unimportant question that made me curious appeared in my mind “Maybe the rose room, or something else,” my gunam while watching around.

Only clearly visible in this room during the day, with full sunlight coming in, making this room seem more clearly, in every corner.

Compared to the night, the illumination of the potluck installed by my father, made me unable to see clearly the state of this room. It turns out that this room is quite also, maybe better than good, an old room with Victorian style, wall paint that looks like a painting starts to fade on several sides, but still shows its form, he said, roses again.

I turned my head to look at every corner I missed at night, to the attention

the ceiling is maroon red, with rose painting piled, meet the ceiling, “ very beautiful” gunamku.

I opened the bathroom and felt a chill on the marble floor, my tiptoes walking and soaking my body in the badtub, contains hot water whose steam billows between the cold air.

I let the fresh water wash my body, and drown in its freshness. Next to me stood a large window with colorful glass, letting the rainbow-colored light through it, falling right on my body it was like bathing with a rainbow radiance.

I'm wearing the cipon-white dress I made last year for me, with the bright yellow long-sleeved sweater, the air here is pretty cold, even during the day, the door of the room flinched when I opened it.

Lavi passed in front of me and took a few steps back, she was seen carrying a new box of lights in her hand, “do you mind if I later enter your room and change some lights?” said.

            “No, just sign in.”

“Ok, well, after the twins' room I'll go to your room.”

In continuing his steps and disappearing on the doorstep of Arya's room, sometimes I think, did he not feel tired, even before moving here he was preoccupied with various things.

I slowed my pace as I passed through my great-grandmother's paintings, red hair, green eyes, similar to me and the twins, I noticed her name was beginning to fade under the paintings. This woman who used to live in this house, maybe she built it too, my mind was momentarily filled with her.

Decit the stairs woke me up from the daydream, maybe this ladder could collapse if I misstep, when I got below, there was a middle-aged man standing on the doorstep, maybe dad's age.

“Veda!” He called my name while hugging me.

“You may not have recognized me, you were very small then, I am your uncle.” He said as he took off his firm embrace, I was still confused, while remembering.

“now where's your dad?” he continued before I could answer.

“Gray!” father's voice sounded from the top of the stairs, walking quickly down, so that the stairs sounded like the clink of a piano that had not been in use for a long time, he seemed to not care, he did not care, or afraid of the state of the stairs that at any time can collapse.

“Will!” exclaimed the uncle, and immediately hugged him when the father reached the bottom of the stairs.

“Old no see, how are you?”

“As you can see, I'm fine.” Uncle and hugged Dad again.

“Truly miss you,” dad hugged him back and asked, “where is dad? Is he coming?”

“He is in the car, I want to ask for your help or Lavi to move him to the wheelchair.”

Father patted uncle on the shoulder, and walked towards their car out there, while uncle followed him from behind. Soon father returned again from the doorway, with an old kake on a wheelchair.

“Veda, this is your brother.” Dad introduced him to me, for the first time in my memory, met him.

“Close, so that he can see you more clearly.” said uncle casually and gently, I

approach her slowly, watching her. His red hair that began to cover gray hair, his green eyes are soft.

The man smiled at me, “halo boy, what's your name?” his voice was slow, as he stretched out his hand and grabbed my hand, “Veda”.

“He's your grandson” uncle whispered to his ears, the old man added smiling with joy at his words.

In the middle of the meeting, the mother appeared from the hallway that I did not know where, her hand while stirring the cake dough in the blue bowl she held.

“Hellen!” he exclaimed happily as he approached and hugged her, just like I had.

We approached them, with the father pushing the kake, whose hand was still holding mine.

             “Over time do not meet”

“Very long.” mom smiled while denying it.

“kake eden!” mom handed the cake batter in her hand to Arya who just caught up with her, and hugged the kake, she looks happier when she meets Kake, “ fun to meet back” whispered mom,

gently in his ears.

“Who are they?” arie's whisper is heard behind Arya.

“He's your grandfather and uncle.” dad introduced them quickly and clearly, they're lucky not to get acquainted like I was, uncle hugged very tightly like hugging a stocky little boy, unfortunately my thin body made my bones touch each other.

The twins face was still confused just like my face earlier, the family we had never met before, suddenly appeared and confessed in front of you, she said, imagine how confusing and suspicious it is, fortunately we are not a wealthy family, so there is no need to be too suspicious of him, because there are no treasures that can be dredged, but looking at my mother and father who were very familiar with my uncle and kake, it seemed like we had a family, it was just that I had not met him.

“Mari, I'm baking a cake, and making lunch.”

Mother led us all to the dining room, apparently the hallway led straight to the dining room, and at the end of the hall was a kitchen, with large windows along the walls, and, let the cold wind in.

Kake who's in a wheelchair, still against my wrist, she looks very fragile and weak.

I sat next to him at the long dining table that stretched out in the middle of the room, the table was maroon-red which seemed to be the natural color of his ration wood, carvings decorate the legs of the table and the corners, simple and elegant, although it has been eaten time, like nothing has changed.
