It rained all day, making me unable to continue the exploration, which had to be delayed. At least until the rain this time stops, if I remember this first rain of the season, said the mother of the first rain brought a lot of luck with her, obviously it was, farmers are grateful for this rain.
I just spent my day sitting in front of the fireplace, with a few books I'd finished reading, Jack-Jack faithfully lying on my toes, it seemed like he also liked the warmth of the fire in the fireplace.
“Talk you how tomorrow?” mother asked me, and took a sitting position on the sopa.
“I think tomorrow will please” I said while smiling at him, “ya, must please” mom returned my smile, “we have not had such a holiday for a long time” mother continued her sentence, and a quiet calm in the rain again filled the room.
The sound of a bang, like a slammed car door heard in the rain, followed by footsteps chasing each other.
“What made you guys so long?” I greeted them with questions.
The twins simply shrugged, and carried a few large plastic bags in their hands, heading upstairs. Lavi appeared from behind the door not long after, she carried a sizable box in her hand, and a sack of food depicting the head of the dog in front of her, Jack-Jack is excited to see the bag of food in Lavi's hand.
“This is everything” Lavi handed the box he carried to mother, who then moved the mother to the kitchen, step the mother in following Lavi and Jack-Jack right behind her, and back to leaving me here alone.
I took a deep breath, gathering the intention to stand up, following mom into the kitchen, lazily I went down the dining room, pierced through the kitchen, and, the floor whispered as I passed the doorway.
Mother was seen talking to Lavi, her voice was calm and quiet, barely audible in this heavy rain, take out some food ingredients that are immediately prepared for tomorrow's event.
Lavi approached me, her hair wet, water dripping from the strands of hair that came out of her hair ties, my head was stroked, which made my messy hair even more irregular, then leave me.
I walked closer to mom, intending to help her “what will I make for tomorrow?”
“Hmm, still don't know, what do you think?” mother asked back.
“So please, maybe something easy to eat, and pack?”
“But tomorrow we will fish, if lucky we might catch some fish.”
“True too, but what if we are unlucky?” I asked again, I had never gone fishing before, so I had no idea how likely it was.
“Hmm, maybe mom better bring seasoning for baked fish, and some sandwict and salad, just in case we are unlucky.”
“Yap, it's the best” I reply with passion, mom always prepare a backup plan for everything that happens.
I helped her make some sandwict pieces, which I thought was enough, but she kept saying less. Now there is a full stack of sandwicts in front of me, whether we will feed who tomorrow, so it requires this much sandwict.
“Better excess, than lack” said mother, whenever I ask for what sandwict this much, and again he replied “if we can share it” excess and the answer is never wrong.
Put all the sandwict into the dining boxes which are then wrapped in cloth, and then, tied together so that it looks like a big birthday gift wrapped in cloth, mom slipped a few jars of seasoning so between them, I was afraid that maybe the jar of spice fell off, and we'll eat the fish without any spice at all on it.
Finished our preparation for tomorrow, the sunlight has begun to disappear behind the gray sky, while the rain still falls rapidly, somehow with tomorrow, and tomorrow, if it still rains, maybe the event will be delayed or worse canceled forever.
I went upstairs to my room, where Jack-Jack was waiting for me in front of the room, standing straight up when he saw me coming up from behind the stairs, its long tail was like a feather duster, twitching with excitement.
I let him in, who jumped straight into the bed, and coiled on the mattress, it looks like Jack-Jack really likes to sleep, even though his age is still fairly young, but he is also not a lazy dog, maybe because of the atmosphere of the rain that makes him sleepy, otherwise he must have played with Arie outside.
If I remember all day I didn't talk to Arie, we only met for a little while in the morning, and when he came back, the rest wasn't there. It felt strange because he was usually very energized, and there was no day without hearing his chatter, but today it seemed to lose with the sound of rain.
I saw Lavi coming down the terrible circular staircase, she was chasing something, and soon
walking quickly past me, opened the door of the cleaning tool storage cabinet, took out some dull cloth inside, and rushed again towards the top floor.
“What happened?” I asked, probably not going to answer him in a hurry, and following Lavi's rapid pace, the frightening circular staircase stopped me from following him.
“Here everything is leaking” said, half screaming from upstairs.
I followed Lavi to the third floor, carefully stepping foot on each screeching rung of stairs, and rightly he said, up here like rain from the roof, “although the leak is small but if allowed to seep” explained Laavi while referring to the ceiling that dripped water.
“But not down, right?” I asked, I hope the water doesn't reach our room.
“No, for now, but if you let it go, it's possible that” said and went down the stairs, past me.
“Tomorrow the day after tomorrow I will fix it, so don't worry” said Lavi.
I followed him down, entered my camp, and placed myself next to Jack-Jack who was lying on the bed.
Jack-Jack is like a warm ball of fur at the moment, it's delicious to hug, and drown yourself in between
soft golden feathers filled my face to drown, he just kept quiet, focused on his beautiful dream.
“If no sala still there”, I very rarely use it, because it can hardly get out
home because of illness, so there must be a lot left.
“Good, then don't forget to bring it, and mother told me to get ready soon, before the sun was too high” Arie continued, and left the bathroom door open.
Today we were going fishing, in a river close to Uncle Glen's house, but he never offended his house close to the river, we only found out when Uncle Milo suggested, maybe he had never thought before, or there was another reason.
I fish my hair is tangled, there must be a strong wind, so I do not want my hair blown and more irregular again later. Yes, although maybe I will not go fishing, but on the edge it will definitely be windy too.
I went downstairs, and it seemed like the others were ready to leave, Lavi handed me a pair of rubber boots, “for what?” I asked him.
“Outside it was quite wet, it was raining yesterday, and maybe you'll need it later” he said, and split another pair of boots to Arya and Arie.
“Can you bring?” Pinta Arie to me.
“Why don't you bring your own?” I'm muttering.
“Because I have to bring our food boxes, and again I don't want to argue with Lavi
just because you don't want to take her.”
“Yes, after all you just need to put it in the car” Arya followed, while giving up her boots, which Arie followed.
I had no other choice but to follow their will, and again I actually did not want to wear these shoes, it felt damp, not to mention the smell, he said, but I don't want to argue with Lavi just because of the boots, so I'll do exactly as Arya said, just need to put it in the car, so Lavi thought we'd wear it later.
True what Lavi said, outside was quite wet, there were several puddles in front of the house, and some were quite large, like a small lake in the yard, though this house is located quite high, such as in the middle of a small hill, more precisely maybe just a climb, or a mound of land large enough for a house.
After putting all the cargo in the car, we immediately set off, and as I expected, the little road we had to take if we wanted to get out of this house, entirely submerged in water, although not too deep, but still everything was inundated, apparently the rain last night was so heavy.
We passed it slowly, trying to splash the water does not dirty the car body more, approaching the front of Crimson Street, the stagnant water has begun a little, the car has begun to, on the main road of the village there are several roads that are flooded with water. Thankfully, when I noticed, the stagnant water did not stand still, they slowly seemed to flow to a lower place.
“I hope the river doesn't overflow” mommy is using herself.
“Hopefully not” said the father who heard it.
“There is indeed a fish if it is like this?” Arie asked, which seemed to be shown to Lavi.
“I don't know, hopefully there's” said Lavi, his face looks a little anxious to imagine what if fishing this time failed.
“Hey, at least the air and the sky became cleaner after rain” said the father who tried to stay positive, the father's side always saw everything positively, he said, is what I like the most, it always makes the atmosphere look better.
I actually don't know, I've never been fishing before, so I don't know anything at all. We reached the main roundabout of the village, from here the father raised his smartphone, it seems like he contacted his sister.
Dad followed the direction of the voice behind his hand-held phone, with Lavi keeping a close eye on the village map on the steps, we took the second mesh after the road that leads to Crimsoon Street and Lust Lake, from here we just walk down, although there are occasional climbs.
Along the road to my left I only saw a stretch of farm rice fields, and to my right, occasionally seen houses or shops, he said, until we got to the smooth rocky road.
A young man in his plaid wool shirt was waiting in front of the old house in red wood, from behind his hat I recognized Uncle Gray's face, her green eyes were narrowed when she saw our car approaching, and her hands were waving, signaling.
Dad put his car right in front of Uncle Gray's house, and before long a big car that I knew before, appeared from the end of the road, the smell of fish coming out, when the man driving the car opened the door wide, Uncle Milo got out and helped Mama get out of the car.
With her big body, Mama came up to me and immediately hugged me tightly, without noticing the confused face of the mother, who witnessed it, only after Uncle Milo gently found her back, without noticing, my mother realized, and immediately introduced herself. Hugging my mother tightly, even the twins who tried to escape failed, and hugging them was no less tight.
Uncle Gray guided us to the fishing ground, pushing his wheelchair, his mother's and Mama's chatter rang out from behind, they seemed to have been hit for so long, but Mama is a type of person
who is easy to get along with, and again he is very friendly, like the beginning of meeting him. Right behind again uncle Milo and Lavi raised some fishing gear and other equipment, looks so much just for fishing, or it should be like that.
When we arrived at the river bank, there are several small lodges on the edge of it that are so beautiful, a perfect place to relax and enjoy this beautiful scenery, he said, this river is quite wide, there are rows of trees that are so tight.
Arya and Arie choose a cottage and put our luggage, dismantle it and nurse it neatly, while dad prepares a grill for his fish, we don't necessarily have fish.
“Luck the river does not overflow” mother said.
“Let's rest, this river never overflows, she is connected directly with the sea” Mama replied, I just found out, but refused to comment any
“See what you've done to this place Gray” exclaimed uncle Milo.
“Yes, it took a struggle to build it” uncle Gray denied it, sounding a sense of pride in his voice.
