Merely Protector
Chapter 4. Anxiety of a Mother

Traffic jams are always apparent in big cities when rush hour, noise roars all the way. The horn turns, as happens in a house with a two-meter-high fence.

High pillars rise and glass-dominated walls become always silent unmoved, as if to describe the atmosphere of the house. Only the sound of subtle twangs due to the collision of spoons and plates, no one opened his mouth to just hook the atmosphere.

"Not seen in a week either. Is he still alive?" ask Emma at the end.

"Our son is still alive." Reno put the rice back in her mouth.

"Is Papa sure?" Emma stopped breakfast. "Well, how do you know from where?" He looked at his husband so sharply.

Reno nodded, but still continued to refine the food inside the mouth. He looked so relaxed, like he did not think about the situation in the slightest. However, in fact the man never showed any worry, even though in the heart is very runaway.

"Believe me, Ma, too" Reno said after swallowing the food in his mouth.

"We're just saying it, Pa!" Wrinkles appear around Emma's eyebrows.

"You're already g1la! If we announce the disappearance of Angga, what is the fate of our company, Ma!" Reno returned Emma's gaze sharper, beyond the razor.

Business competition is so cruel, they will pounce when the enemy is weak. Indiscriminate and the consequences caused afterwards. All for the success of their respective companies.

Emma lowered her gaze, feeling defeated. The feeling of being a mother is very tiring, the worry will always envelop. His mind was so stifled, all the bad possibilities flashed there.

"Where is the village around? Papa's been looking there?" Emma's voice wasn't that high.

Reno shook her head, a sigh of despair sounded. The search team he deployed had already scoured every village around the helicopter crash. However, not a single citizen knew about the existence of Angga.

The helicopter exploded behind a hill, very far from where Angga fell. So, the search did not reach the village where the man was now. Moreover, all of this was done secretly.

Reno dropped her back on the back of the sofa. His right hand was massaging a forehead that already felt very heavy. The unbalanced condition of the company due to the loss of Angga and the search that has not found a meeting point, gathered into one. If he could, he would lay his head down for a moment and start for a moment all of that.

"I'm sorry, Pa. I'm just worried about Angga" said Emma.

Reno did not respond to Emma's remarks. However, actually he was also worried about the state of Angga. The biological son is the only successor of the family, who is not anxious. The future of the company is in the hands of the young man.

Now the atmosphere is quiet, no one is talking anymore. Reno was still busy with her own thoughts. With his eyes closed, the man tried to find a solution to everything that happened.

***

Emma sat alone in the living room. He can only hope for the best for the child. He also believes in what Reno says that Angga must have survived. Judging from the intelligence of the child, all problems will definitely be resolved.

Right now, that's not what Emma's mind is about. If indeed Angga survived, why has not also given news so far? Is the child having trouble there?

"Figures" said Emma.

A picture frame of Angga was tightly in the arms of the mother. Without feeling free waterfall of eyelids that can no longer hold it dammed. Proof of a mother's love for the baby.

"Mama, why haven't you slept?"

The masculine voice broke Emma's cry. Quickly the woman wiped the rest of the stream of tears on her cheeks. He turned to the source of the voice while smiling sweetly.

"Yet, Ar. Where are you guys from?" ask Emma to Arlo.

"I take the streets of Alia so as not to be sad to think Angga continues, Ma." Arlo pointed at the woman on his right using his chin.

Emma smiled happily at what Arlo was doing. In this kind of situation, the man was still thinking about the feelings of others. It is not wrong that he educated her from childhood to adulthood. The child has a high sense of care.

"You need to get Alia home soon. It's late, huh." Emma pointed at the teak wooden clock that stood firmly near the stairs. The clock is pointing to the number eleven.

"A minute, Auntie. I also want to know how Auntie is doing." Alia sat down next to Emma. Meanwhile, Arlo is still standing next to his mother.

Conversations happen between them. It was evident from their talk that Emma was very sad. Alia realized this, then immediately grabbed the shoulders of the middle-aged wqnita.

"Why if at the end of this month we go to the village at the foot of the hill? There will be a party of the people, must be festive," proposed Alia. He tries to comfort Emma by taking her for a walk.

The woman who was not young anymore thought for a moment. Indeed at this time he had to refresh his mind, try to calm down and think positively about Angga. Traveling became a suitable option for him. After all, the village was also close to where the plane crashed. He hopes to find information there.

"All right, I agree." Emma smiling. "Now, I want to rest first. Aunt is tired. Don't forget to ask Arlo for your anterin."

As Emma stood up, Arlo's face turned wry. The man felt that indeed the biological child had always been a prima donna. Just by looking at the way the woman was so tightly hugging the photo of Angga, she understood his position. Instantly jerked his body onto the sofa.

"Quiet, Ar." Alia's hand gently rubbed Arlo's arm. He realized what the man felt.

Seriate.
