Chapter 16

"But, Rian." Alea tried to compile the right words to address the expression of her best friend. "It's not that easy" Alea said. 

"There's nothing easy about Alea. Just like if you left Rafi. It's not easy, but it's best for you, Rafi, Raisa, and all of us." Rian began to speak in a high tone. His emotions could no longer be contained. 

"Gosh, Rian." Alea seemed shocked to have never heard Rian speak that loud before. "It's okay. I know I was wrong. But, I don't know either, Rian. I also actually do not want to be rich gini," said Alea with a tone that is not less high. 

The woman's tears began to drip, down through the cheeks. "I don't deserve to be a girl. You can say I'm a girl, not a real actor, or whatever. But, if you tell me to get away from Rafi, it can't be, Rian. I really can't."

Alea's tears are now spilling everywhere. He could not contain his great guilt towards Raisa. But, on the other hand, he also could not stem his love for Rafi. 

Rian fell silent, as if he could not bear to hear Alea like this. The woman is now crying so much that she hiccups. 

"Sorry, Alea. I just want what's best for you" said Rian in the end. He could not speak in a higher tone. He couldn't do that to the only woman he's loved for the past five years. 

"I'm sorry to have taken Rafi from your sister, too" Alea said. "I really don't know, Rian."

"I'm also sorry for not being able to return your feelings to me. If you had revealed all this five years ago, I would have accepted you. It was a year before I liked Rafi." Alea continued to display at length, albeit with a little stammering and banging. 

Rian seemed to be clenching his right hand. In his heart was filled with a deep sense of regret for taking too long harboring his feelings for Alea. 

All this time, the man thought that if he expressed his feelings for Alea, it would destroy their friendship. And now, he has revealed it. It might be true, even though his friendship with Alea and Rafi would be destroyed instantly due to this matter. 

Rian's tears began to fall because he was too sorry for the decision he made. 

"I want Rafi, Rian. I can't be with you, sorry. You know how hard it is to forget the people we've loved for years?" Alea continued to speak, while Rian could only listen to all the words that came out of Alea's lips. 

"I beg you, Rian. Please do not forget me, do not forget Rafi. I really can't" Alea added, trying to wipe away her tears that had flooded her cheeks. 

Not long after, Rafi came up with a plastic carrying two servings of meatballs. Then his face began to panic because he saw Alea's face that was already chaotic. 

"Hey, why, honey? You why? What's up?" Rafi showered Alea with various questions for being too panicked. He held onto Alea's cheeks, Alea's tears spilling over. 

Rian who was in a different place bowed his head when he heard Rafi was so considerate with the woman who for five years was so loved. The man cursed himself for being too stupid. He should not have been feeling this long. Now it's all too late. 

"Here hug first, then later story." Then Rafi embraced Alea so sincerely. He had no idea that Alea was communicating with Rian on the phone. 

Rian who heard that immediately hung up the phone. He could not see the romance of Alea and Rafi. Now he was determined to forget about Alea, although it was certainly heavy. 

Meanwhile, Rafi continued to wipe away the tears of Alea that were still flooding the cheeks. "What's up, honey? Try the story."

Rafi swallowed her saliva. Without saying a word, he snatched Alea's phone from the woman's grasp. He immediately typed something with a face that was so serious. 

[Me and Alea will not be separated. If you want to tell me all this with Raisa, go ahead. I'm ready for divorce from your sister]

The line of messages, Rafi sent to Rian using Alea's number. After that, he immediately turned off the phone. No one else could interfere with his relationship with Alea. 

"Darling, you calm down, yeah. Everything is done," said Rafi while tightly grasping Alea's body. 

Alea returned the hug. Sometimes Rafi rubbed Alea's back to make the woman calmer.

At night, Rian with a serious face was driving a car so fast. When there are other cars blocking his way, he is not pressing the brakes, but pressing the horn. 

A few minutes later, he parked his car in the front yard of Raisa's house. He got out of the car with a serious look, his eyes very sharp. 

"Did you?" greet Raisa as usual when Rian enters her house. The man entered Raisa's house without knocking on the door first. 

Raisa became frightened after seeing the look of Rian's sharp eyes that were not as usual. Raisa as Rian's sister almost never even saw the expression of the brother's face like this. 

"Ang? What's up?" asked Raisa again in a voice that was so slow. 

Rian sat in the living room. His eyes are still as they were. He clenched both hands. 

"You're ready, we'll take care of your divorce with Rafi right now" Rian said with a heavy heart. He could not say that, but all for the good of his beloved sister. 

Hearing her request, Raisa covered her mouth with both hands. "What does that mean, Bang? Why did you suddenly say that?" ask Raisa who is still inexhaustible with the words of her brother. 

"He cheated on another girl. You are following me with brother. There is still me, mom, and dad who always accept you completely. You should never feel alone" said Rian, looking down at Raisa's eyes. 

Raisa was speechless, unable to hold back her tears. "L-cheating?" lirih Raisa's. 

"Yes, Raisa. He cheated on Alea. So, you better divorce her. You don't deserve her." Rian could feel how hurt Raisa's heart was, just as much as his own. It might even hurt a lot more. 

"I don't want to, Abaang. I'm pregnant with her child, I love her. I don't want to separate" Raisa said in a high tone. Instantly he felt so depressed.
