Marry me, Mr. Mafia

Marry me, Mr. Mafia
Episode 2

13 YEARS LATER.

Aila Khanza is now 19 years old, in three months she will be 20. Just two months he returned home after serving in the pesantren for eight years, of course because of his own wishes. He aspires to be the wife and mother of the sholehah in his future, and of course to be the heir of a large company not his wish. But, because the grandfather who asked him to be the heir to the company, then inevitably Aila must accept. And now Aila was given the task of interning at the company before she finally really will be inaugurated as the CEO of the MD group.

This is where Aila is at the moment. Sit on a chair facing the computer table in front of him.

"Is Miss Aila having any trouble?" Ask a woman who is the head of the Administration department.

"Little bit. I don't understand this, mbak-"

The woman smiled, then she explained very carefully and also full of patience when almost three times explaining then Aila really understood. Please note, Aila is very quick to understand various things about the MD group. He also easily got to know anyone related to that company. That was the plus point he had.

While the company is still led by Arnold, but Arnold never felt alienated when Aila began to slightly shift her position. Either because he was self-aware that the company did belong to Aila, or because there was another purpose. I don't know if only he knows.

"Miss Aila, Mr. Arnold is waiting to have lunch together." The secretary from Arnold told him that.

"Yes, mom. Wait a minute, I finish my job, a little more."

Aila deftly completed checking on the report regarding the latest shareholder issues and anyone who had to divest his shares due to some cases that harmed the company. Not to forget, Aila also often analyzes various problems regarding cooperation between companies and various other agencies. He has even begun to understand to choose the appropriate client and of course will benefit the company.

Now in the hands of Aila, there is a proposal to submit cooperation from Mark Holding, which is one of the largest companies in Asia that stands in Thailand. Aila was very curious about the company, she wanted to directly accept the cooperation proposal if she had control of it. Unfortunately, he does not have the right to do so at this time.

"Levarendo Mark, 32 years old. Been CEO of Mark Holding since he was 18." Aila read a little biography of owner Mark Holding. Then he immediately closed the file again, as he had to go to lunch immediately.

And now Aila is at the same dining table as Arnold, her grandfather and Adrian. Arnold chose a seafood restaurant because he knew Aila loved seafood.

"Om, can Aila make a suggestion?"

That question made Arnold focus distracted on Aila. "Of course you can, Aila. What advice is that?"

Aila stopped her eating. He fixed his way of sitting down and took a short breath. It makes the focus of grandfather and Adrian also diverted to him.

"I've read and tried to understand about some proposals for cooperation, but I think the proposal submitted by Mark Holding is very transparent, the vision and mission are also clear, this cooperation will provide great benefits for the company. So, I think we can accept that cooperation, Om."

"Not with Mark Holding, dear Aila."

That's grandpa's voice. He started to fully look at Aila's face. So did Arnold who was a bit surprised to hear Aila's statement just now.

"Why is that, cake? It's a big company. If we cooperate with them, it will not benefit us as well. After all, the vision of his mission for cooperation is also very clear and even benefits our company in the future."

"You're right, Aila. Om glad to hear you have started to understand many things about the company. But, Mark Holding it's not an ordinary company pity-"

"Look Aila. There are big companies that really stand because of the hard work of someone who is honest and sincere as well as the MD group. But, Mark Holding is a company under which the Mafia syndicate is cruel and terrible."

"The mobster? Does the Mafia really exist, cake?"

The voice came from Adrian. He loves reading Mafia novels. This discussion is very interesting to him.

"What is mafia?" Connect Aila who is still very foreign with that name.

Arnold stared alternately at Aila and Adrian's faces and then he began to compile answers that might give them new knowledge about the mafia world.

"This is the child. Mafia is a secret society of a group of people engaged in crime or criminal and also illegal transactions. They do everything they can to get what they want. In the mafia world, they fight using various sharp weapons. Who is strong, they are the powerful"

"Are they bad, Om?"

"certain. They're bad people, because they're gonna kill other humans to maintain power."

Aila's face seemed to hold back the nausea as Arnold told her about the murder. While Adrian seemed increasingly curious about the mafia story.

"But the mafia is good too, Pa."

That's Adrian's voice. He doesn't really agree with his papa saying that mafia is bad.

"The good mafia exists only in fictional novels like the one you've always read, Adrian."

Aila seemed to think of something. The dissolution of the mafia began with his desire to accept an offer of cooperation from Mark Holding. Wait for. Could it be that the company is headed by a mobster?

"Is Mark Holding founded by a mobster, Arnold?"

The question made Cakra, Arnold and Adrian who were about to bribe their food stop arriving. Arnold's eyes stared intently at the girl who was beginning to wonder about many things about the black world. And maybe Aila's curiosity about something like this, would only harm her in the future.

"You're pithing, Aila. Mark Holding under the control of a mobster."

"Then, if the mafia are bad people, why don't the police arrest them? And why would you set up a company so easily?"

Aila was getting curious. Arnold felt that Aila was better off staying at the boarding school. Girls seem to be in danger if left to escape in this frenzied world.

"That's because the mafia lives in parts of the world where there's no law there. No police, no court. They created their own laws. An eye for an eye, a life for a life."

That's Adrian. He gave the right answer, based on the novel he always read. Hearing Adrian's answer, not to make Aila feel afraid or horrified, but even more curious. And Cakra asked them to stop discussing it and continue their lunch. Aila who was still very curious could only quietly obey her grandfather's orders.
