Chapter 23: Power Outage
Earth and Ana get into the car, the man notices the girl who has not yet worn her seatbelt.
"Do you want me to pair it up or install it myself?" The earth grinned while Ana countered him with a sharp glare. He pulled the safety belt on his right.
"I can do it myself!" Ana said then turned her face away, a small voice came out from the man's mouth.
The earth immediately turned on the engine of his car, during the journey none of them spoke. It was 09:00 p.m., Earth and Ana didn't say much.
"You want some ice cream?" The earth turned towards Ana while waiting for her answer,
"You promised, right? So now keep your promise!" Ana looked at the Earth while grinning.
"Of course, you can eat the whole thing!" Earth smiled while focusing on driving, the man was very happy to tease Ana
"Seeing from your style, there's no way you don't have a lover!" Ana looked at the Earth with her finger she shook her head while occasionally clucking.
"Who said I don't have one?" The earth raised the corner of his eyebrow.
Ana chuckles, then takes her eyes off Earth, "Your mother" she said as she stared out the window.
"My love lives in America" he said briefly.
Earth biting her lower lip a sign she was lying. She knows that her relationship with Bella has long since run aground, but her hopes for the woman are still huge, especially with her condition being pregnant right now.
"really ? So you're in a long-distance relationship?" Ana narrowed her eyes trying to read Earth's expression, whether she was lying or not.
"Why? You don't believe it?" Earth parked his car at Marcos Gelato.
"I believe it!" Ana did not argue with him, she came out with a small bag, followed by the man afterwards.
They walked towards the entrance, not yet at the doorstep a reporter approached them, "Don't bother us first huh!" The earth patted the person's shoulder, rejecting him politely.
The reporter nodded then left them, "let's go in!" Earth opens Marcos' door and lets Anastasia in first.
"What do you want?" they kept silent while looking at the several menus before him,.
"Strawberry Yoghurt" Ana pointed at the strawberry ice cream picture.
"Alright, Strawberry Yoghurt one and choco mint one!" Bumi notices Anastasia, the woman chooses Bella's favorite ice cream, the man gives her debit card to the cashier.
"Please wait a minute" the officer asked them to wait in one of the seats.
Bumi and Ana also walked to choose a seat. As usual, the man chose a seat with a direct view to the highway alias close to the window. He stared at the crowded highway filled with passing cars. Anaterview's face was agitated, and Earth realized that.
"What's wrong?" Earth looked at Ana's face carefully.
"It's okay," Ana smiled awkwardly.
"With such an expression, you still answer that it's okay?" Earth rolled her eyeballs irritated, she snorted softly.
When the ice cream was ready, the man took it to the front. He walked back to his seat after getting what he wanted. From Ana's view, Earth is a very charismatic and also masculine man, he often does small things that are so touching.
The earth put ice cream in front of them, Ana eagerly took a scoop of ice cream and ready to devour the ice cream.
"Thank you Mr. Earth!" Ana said with a grin, The Earth snorted she actually did not like the woman calling her by the word sir, but for now she would not protest. The man just smiled at the woman.

They ate ice cream while chatting about many things.
"What's so good about choco mint ice cream?" Ana straightened her hair back.
"What, you want to try?" The Earth thrusts her ice cream at Ana.
"I'll try her a little bit" Ana scooped up Earth's ice cream a little spoonful.
"Hmm it feels like, hahaha toothpaste." Ana laughed a little, though,
"But delicious!" Ana Samnil grinned.
"I want yours!" Earth snatched Ana's ice cream in her hand.
"Aishh," but Ana doesn't protest to see the man scooping his ice cream.
"I've tried this many times," suddenly the man remembered Bella, he felt bad for being close to another woman when she was pregnant like that.
The earth lays Ana's ice cream and returns it to her, "why?" asked Ana while looking at the Earth that was like losing appetite.
"It's okay" he answered briefly.
"Are all women like this? Wherever you have to take a picture," Earth surprisingly took her phone and pointed it at Ana who was already posing.
Earth did not directly photograph her, she stared at Ana through the phone screen for a while. The man was stunned 'beautiful' his inner self.
Bumi took pictures of Ana twice and the results were so good, Ana loved it.
"That's great, thank you." Ana smiled at the results of the Earth shots.
"Yes, it's beautiful" said Earth grinning while looking at Ana.
"Thank you, I know I'm beautiful." the woman confidently grinned while tidying her hair back.
"I mean the camera, it's pretty. The brand camera of this phone is indeed clear." The earth reasoned and then laughed a little.
"Cih" answered Ana sneered but then dissolved in her laughter.
It was 10:30 p.m., Earth and Ana had finished their ice cream. They got out of Marcos Gelato and got into the car to continue their journey. Rumbling was heard, it seemed like it was going to rain heavily.
Justright. Just out of the parking lot, the rain had already flushed their car.
"Well, rain" said Ana, looking at the road that was now wet with rainwater.
"Why? Are you afraid of getting wet? Are you a mermaid?" Ask Earth to mock her.
Ana looks at Earth cynically, Ana wonders why this man is often fickle, sometimes annoying sometimes also not.
"Recent news: There will be power outages in parts of Seoul to reduce the risk of shorting, This rain is predicted to continue until Tomorrow, hopefully you are all always healthy"
They're listening to the news on Radio, "power outage?" Ana commented while raising her eyebrows.
"There are hm" Earth's response to the news.
After 30 minutes they finally arrived at Ana's apartment building.
Now they're in the basement to park the car. When they got out of the car, the power went out. Ana spontaneously shouted, "Aaaa."
"Bum, where's the earth?" Ana fumbles at Earth's car, as she touches the man's hand, and is shocked and screamed.
Earth annoys Ana by pointing a flashlight from below at her face, in order to make the atmosphere tense like a horror movie. Ana closed her eyes in fear,
"It's me, it's me Hahahahah!" The earth laughed happily.
"Youuu!" Ana hits Earth's arm a bit hard, she's upset that the man is cheating on her.
"I'm sorry, do you want to continue our journey to your apartment? Or do you want to come with me to stay at my apartment?" The earth grinned implying something.
"Not both!" Ana wrapped her hands around her chest.
"Well, I'm going home!" The earth grinned, he was just testing Ana.
"Wait me! " Anna ran small towards the Earth.
"You better come to my apartment" Bumi reassured Ana.
"We don't know until when this blackout goes on, I don't want to be in your apartment in complete darkness." His words are hyperbole.
"I don't want to either!" Ana was thinking, though,
"Alright, let's go to your apartment" Ana gave a desperate glance, finally getting into the car again. The man followed her into the car,
"The basement is very creepy," the Earth noticed the winding road. Finally they came out of the building, the atmosphere outside was very dark, Bumi drove his car to his apartment.
Ana falls asleep in the car, the man occasionally stares at her. 15 minutes have passed, outside still raining heavily.
"Ana, it's over" Earth wakes Ana up slowly and turns off her car engine,
Ana rubbed her eyes and woke up.
