Chapter 17: Interested

After Minhyun returned to his apartment, Dongmin approached Ana who was sitting on the sofa. He put down the snacks he brought and handed a bunch of roses to Ana.

Ana looked at the pris awkwardly, she grabbed the flower and sipped it. The distinctive fragrance of roses pierced into his nose.

"Thank you," Ana smiled faintly, she felt her mood improve, the woman tried not to think about the events of the past nights.

"Why?" Dongmin sat beside Ana, now his hands resting on his knees while looking towards Anastasia.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Dongmin continued, his face was sad and disappointed. The man, was very worried about Anastasia. He felt guilty because he thought this was happening because of him.

"I'm sorry, I don't want you to feel anxious and guilty." Ana lowered. Dongmin immediately grabbed the woman's hand and looked at her.

"By doing this, you're making me feel more guilty." Dongmin stared for a long time at the brown-haired woman's face.

"I'm sorry" Ana replied regretfully, and she saw Dongmin's bruised cheek.

"You're bruised, I'll treat you." Ana stands up to get some warm water and compresses, but the man holds her hand.

"No need, it's nothing." Dongmin smiled faintly.

Anastasia shook her head and insisted on treating the bruise on Dongmin's cheek.

"I'll help him treat it," Ana walks toward the kitchen to prepare a basin of warm water and a towel.

Dongmin just stared at Ana who passed from there. Soon the woman returned with a basin filled with warm water and a towel, and she sat down before Dongmin and began compressing his bluer wound,

"I'm here to take care of you" Dongmin held back Ana's hand to treat her wound.

Ana snorted softly, "i've improved, now it's your turn to be treated." Ana smiled and continued her activities, squeezing a towel that had been dipped in warm water and sticking it on Dongmin's face slowly.

"Thank you" Dongmin noticed Ana was seriously helping him.

On the other side of Minhyun who had just entered his apartment immediately laid his body on the mattress, he took a deep breath and exhaled. The man closed his eyes, but there was one thing that troubled his mind.

"Ssh, stop crying. Lookatme!" The man asked Ana to look at him. The woman turned her head towards him, with tears still flowing down her cheeks the two stared at Dongmin for a long time.

"I've liked you since the first time we met," Ana turned her back on hearing the man's love statement. But for now he doesn't know about his feelings. He only considers Dongmin as his best friend.

For Ana, friendship between a man and a woman is not so impossible.

Surely it can be lived, A man and woman do not just have to fall in love with each other. Then Ana's cell rang, seen a call from a number she did not recognize.

"Hallo," Ana said softly, Dongmin noticed Ana's face focused on her call.

"Earth called me, he said I'm being questioned at the police station tomorrow." He said as he turned to look at Dongmin beside him.

"Alright, I'll accompany you later," Dongmin smiled faintly.

"No need, I don't want to trouble you" the woman replied straightforwardly.

"Look down, I'm glad to help you. Anyway, I'm starting an internship tomorrow. So we'll rarely meet on campus later, "The corner of Dongmin's lips is raised, the man gently stroked Ana's head.

"You're internships? I'm glad to hear it, Good luck for tomorrow! The spirit!" Ana smiled and was somewhat excited to see Dongmin's unexpected actions.
