Married for Papa
Choosing a Batik Uniform

Sunday morning in Jakarta as usual beautiful. The sky is still foggy because the sun is still shy to show its light. Cold air pierced the skin through the bone. A grain of dew clumped in the arches of leaves fell to the ground and became one with the earth. The birds sound like they are singing. What a beautiful creation of the Almighty.

Little by little the rising sun radiated its radiance and warmth to all humans. A ray of incoming sunlight broke through without permission through Bryan's blue-colored curtain gap. The man was still sleeping in a king-size padded mattress, coated in blue sheets with white patterns of his favorite color.

He was still busy with blankets and struggling with good dreams. While out there everyone is busy with their respective activities such as shopping, exercising and busy doing household chores.

"Shera, your sister hasn't woken up yet?"

"It doesn't seem like mom. I have noticed since I met with Aluna, Bryan's brother so often woke up during the day. Not just on weekends, but any day of work."

"Yes good dear dong, that means Kak Aluna gave a change to your brother."

"Madam, the food is ready. Do you want to be served now?" Ask Ma'am Ijah.

"By mbak, please serve on the table. I'll call Mas Reymond first."

"Good mistress."

"Shera, mommy, please wake your sister. Ask him to come down to the dinner table for breakfast."

"Good mom." Shera immediately walked up one by one stairs and from a distance that was not too far to see the door of Bryan's room. Soon Shera knocked on the door.

"Sister Ry, wake up. Waiting for mommy and daddy breakfast."

Not getting a response, Shera repeated it.

"Sister Ry, get up!"

Bryan who was still unconscious only replied casually.

"Gum."

"Yes, I'm waiting downstairs." Shera said as she descended back."

"Away awake?"

"So he answered, but did not know whether to sleep again or not. I'm tired of standing up too long, mom, just let Brother Bryan starve. It's his own fault he's always up in the afternoon."

"What's the morning of the storm?" Reymond asked as he entered the dining room.

"That's dad, Brother Bryan these days is always getting up in the afternoon. I've noticed since I met Aluna, it's changed. Waking up her hair was always wet and her face looked brighter. There is a difference between before and after meeting Kak Aluna." Plain shera.

Shera did not know the consequences of his innocence, arousing the curiosity of Reymond and Ayunda. They glanced at each other and communicated through telepathy, both smiling and making the looking Shera become astonished.

"Mommy and daddy why smile. Did I speak wrong?"

"Don't love, you've continued eating. Let your brother eat later."

Reymond as the head of the family led the morning prayer before meals as a sign of gratitude because God still provides a spacious sustenance so that they can eat well.

While Bryan was still lounging on the bed, he rolled right-left and hugged the bolster right next to him.

Apparently he fell out of bed because he was enjoying the dream too much.

"Ah shit. It hurts so much. And this is why I dream of that strange girl again!" Bryan immediately got up, put a roll on the mattress and walked towards the bathroom.

"Why have I been dreaming about it lately? Why do I have to wet my hair every morning? Damn, just meeting once already made me dream-of many times" Bryan did not continue his words.

"I'd better take a shower and get down for breakfast. Not this afternoon I have to accompany mommy looking for a batik uniform for the engagement." Bryan Mumbled.

"For mom, dad." Say hello to Bryan when he saw his parents were sitting in the living room while watching the news and enjoying a warm tea made by Mbak Ijah.

"For Ry. Tumben you're up in the afternoon again. Are your dreams so beautiful that you're having bad luck?" Temptation Ayunda.

"Mom's usually probably because of the work that's piling up so I always get up during the day." Said Bryan as he passed towards the dining room.

...****************...

At exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, Reymond and his family went to the mall to find a batik uniform.

Thirty minutes passed and now they had reached their destination. Bryan parked the car in the basement. Reymond and his family got off and headed straight for the main door of the mall while Bryan followed behind.

"Mommy and daddy come in first, I'll catch up. I'm going to the toilet for a second." Said Bryan while taking off the seat belt that was coiled around his waist.

"Okay, but when it's done, follow us. Do you remember mommy's friend's boutique?"

"Still."

In the boutique

"Hey Ayunda, how are you?" Ask Ayunda's friend.

"Alhamdulillah healthy. How are you doing Merry?"

Merry is Ayunda's friend and owner of Ayunda's subscription boutique.

"Is there something you're looking for? Tumben's family stopped by here."

"Yes, I'm looking for a batik uniform for my family. Is there a new model? I need two for the man and two for me and my daughter Shera."

"What a coincidence, just yesterday I designed this batik uniform." Point Merry towards the model in the corner of the boutique.

"Well, that's beautiful." Praise Ayunda while touching the batik.

While Ayunda was checking the batik uniform, suddenly a girl accidentally hit him.

"I'm sorry ma'am, I didn't accidentally." Said the girl who was none other than Aluna.

"It's okay, it's also my fault. So cool to notice this batik dress, I even block the way." Say soft Ayunda.

Aluna was about to walk around looking at the batik, but her steps were stopped.

"Wait a minute, it seems like your face is no stranger to me. Have we met?" Ask Ayunda while looking at Aluna from head to toe.

Aluna who felt she had never met Ayunda immediately responded.

"No madam, maybe you're wrong."

Reymond who was busy playing the phone immediately approached Ayunda.

"What's mom?" Reymond asked as he glanced towards Aluna.

"Well, are you Aluna Alexander's daughter?" Ask Reymond to be sure.

"Oh Om Reymond yes! Right om, I'm Aluna. What a coincidence to meet here." Aluna said. He didn't expect to see the Smiths here.

Ayunda who was very happy to meet Aluna reflexively hugged her tightly. Aluna who got a warm hug immediately replied. For a long time she had not felt the warm embrace of a mother the last time when she was five years old.

"Aluna, aunty is happy to see you again dear. How are you?" Ayunda released a hug and then stroked Aluna's face.

"Alhamdulillah healthy aunt. Aunt and family how's it going? Sorry, Aluna doesn't recognize auntie."
