"What do you mean talk like that?"
Wilson stared at the scene in front of him, so turned to look at Shifah who was currently standing before him. "Does this have anything to do with what I said at the time? That's why you're being a little cold to me?"
Shifah never answered because what Wilson said was true. He was deliberately giving distance in order to keep the feelings of people, including his feelings.
"Please don't talk nonsense. I'm not avoiding you at all." she argued by turning her body around. Wilson, who was dissatisfied with the answer, opened his voice again.
"Is all this because of my statement at the time? That's why you're acting differently to me. Didn't I say I like you. I don't care if you like my brother more than I do."
The second love statement Shifah ever heard from Wilson's mouth. After the first time at Cessie's birthday party. Even so, it seems that Shifah still feels shocked by the statement.
"You can't understand" said Shifah quietly, but Wilson could still hear.
"What part of it do I not understand? I know it's my brother's name in your heart." Wilson's breath sounded a little hunting accompanied by a sense of tightness. Especially when bringing up the love that Shifah has for her brother.
Shifah looked down, his feelings so bad because this time the two will again reject Wilson's feelings towards him. "Please understand. Feelings are not things that can be forced. I'm not bi-"
Before Shifah could continue, Wilson cut him off. "If you know that feelings can't be forced. Why would you agree to marry someone you don't love!"
At the end of his sentence, Wilson slightly raised his tone. It even made Shifah slightly jerked slowly. "Why do you have to agree to marry the Dewo? If you like my brother, Jack?"
Being asked such a question made Shifah again - again a silent pick. That's right what Wilson said. For what reason should he accept Dewo, if his own feelings fall on Jackson.
Shifah shook his head slowly. "Then I said you wouldn't understand. My problems are more complicated than you can imagine." Shifah's tears fell with a slow sobbing. Wilson who heard it became unbearable. Near him the idol of the heart, with a single attraction Shifah already in his arms.
No more talking, both of them just enjoying time in an embrace, nothing more. Wilson's memory was on the night of the party yesterday.
Flashbacks
The atmosphere was somewhat cooling when Om Cakra brought back the issue of the debt of the Shifah family in front of the Shifa directly. Until someone's speech makes the attention all shifted to the perpetrator.
"You can pay it all off, as long as you want to marry me." Everyone turned to look at the person who just spoke.
Shifah stared in disbelief at the presence of people he didn't even want to see. People who have bravely given bad memories in the life of Shifah, even before the age of Shifah even 12 years.
"I would never agree that you would dare to marry my sister!" The firm tone in Cessie's speech made several pairs of eyes look at her curiously.
The person who was none other than the Dewo also walked closer to the Ardhinata family. "It all depends on Shifah's choice. He wants to get married or pay off all his debts tonight."
Cessie's expression grew increasingly murky from hearing the casual speech that Dewo let out. "You can't marry Shifah. I'll pay off all that debt myself!"
Shifah stared in disbelief at her brother's words. How can Cessie pay off that much debt in one night. Just now Cessie wanted to pull out her phone, her father's voice was heard first.
"Dad won't let you spend a dime of the money you've been giving you all this time!" Cessie stared fiercely at her father who had no intention of helping any of this.
Cakra stared at the child coldly. His words were not heard at all by Cessie who is now trying to check the remaining balance in his savings. But his eyes widened as soon as he saw a notification that told him that atm and his savings had been frozen.
"What are you planning? Return my atm and all my savings as before." his anger that did not make Cakra melt or moved his heart. "Had you said you should marry Dewo to help your beloved sister get out of debt."
Cessie shook her head violently, she would not allow herself or her sister to marry a human like Dewo. Cessie was getting more and more upset with the situation. Plus, Dewo further adds to the problem.
"The choice is just that, you pay off all that debt or Shifah will marry me." The choice that Dewo proposed made the look of Cakra's face change. "Wouldn't it be better if my daughter was the one who married Nak Dewo." Cakra again suggested to Dewo choose Cessie when compared to Shifah.
Dewo tilted his mainstay smile to Cakra. "Unfortunately I'm no longer interested in marrying your daughter. I'm more interested in your nephew."
Cessie walked closer to Dewo. One of his index points was pointed at Dewo. "Until death I won't be willing to see my brother alongside a human being like you."
It is clear that the sharp aura that Cessie deliberately showed in front of Dewo, as a warning of his seriousness in rejecting the marriage. "I don't care if you accept it or not. But what's clear is that Shifah has to marry me tomorrow morning, if tonight she can't pay off all her family's debts."
"Cinting! Crazy person?! You're using all this for your own sake, aren't you?!" cessie was angry when she heard what Dewo said. How could he be ordinary when this person before him still kekeh to marry Shifah.
The direction of his gaze Shifah was fixed on Dewo who was now smiling towards him. "All right, I'll marry you." Shifah breaks up which makes Dewo's smile even more fluffy. "Don't you no longer make trouble with Cessie's family."
"Okay, everything can be arranged. As long as you keep that word." Shifah nodded while ignoring the gaze that Cessie gave her.
"Dec, why did you accept it?! You didn't forget that he was the one who almost saved you a few years ago!"
Shifah will certainly never forget the crime that Dewo committed 3 years ago. But, Shifah can do what with his current condition. He thinks rationally, he does not have that much money to pay off all the debts of his family.
And Shifah knows very well that Dewo is a person who will never stay silent for what he wants. Moreover, Shifah knows for himself how reckless a Dewonggo Arjuna is. If Dewo is determined to harm the Ardhinata family, Shifah will not be able to forgive himself.
When the feeling of joy in the heart of Dewo soared, there were those who disturbed his pleasure. "I'll pay off all of Shifah's family debts tonight."
All pairs of eyes stared in surprise even more so Shifah who stared in disbelief at the person who just spoke. "What do you mean, little boy!" dengus Dewo who was not happy if his plan to marry Shifah was disturbed.
"I told you, I'll pay off all of Shifah's family debts tonight. And that means you can't force Shifah to marry you."
"You're serious, Wil?" The question came from his brother's mouth. He really couldn't believe that his sister would talk like that. Moreover, he also did not know what motive made Wilson dare to talk like that.
Wilson looked at his first brother with a certain look. "Yes, I was serious when I said I was going to pay off all that debt. Did you doubt my words?" Jackson was silent for a moment before giving the trousers to his sister.
Dewo stared fiercely at Wilson who was intending to block his plan to get Shifah. "Prove your word that you really want to pay off all of Shifah's debt."
Wilson remained calm as he was stared at with such a great aura of hostility from the Dewo. His hand reached into his suit and pulled out a check sheet containing the nominal 4.5 M. "This, it's already 4.5 M as you asked for."
Although reluctant, Dewo still took the check to prove Wilson's remark earlier. His gaze sharpened even more so when he realized that the check that was in his possession was genuine.
"So the business is done, right? The debt of the Shifah family has been paid off. And I hope you no longer bother Shifah and her family." Dewo clenched both of his palms with a hardened expression.
"Don't think I'll give up until here. In the future we'll see what happens." After saying that, Dewo immediately left without saying goodbye leaving the room that was suddenly silent.
...( * _ * )...
"What are you really thinking? Why have you come so far. That kind of money why are you using it to pay off my family's debt? Why did you do that?"
Obviously you know who just talked to and who he's talking to.
"That's all I do because I don't want you to marry that man."
"Then what's the problem? I'm gonna marry him anyway."
"Because I love you. I don't want you to marry anyone but me."
That speech certainly surprised Shifah who had attracted Wilson to speak to him with four eyes. "You love me? Since when?"
Wilson shook his head slowly. "I don't know if that feeling has grown since when. But obviously I love you" Wilson said with a serious look in his eyes. And Shifah can see it now.
But it even makes Shifah feel bad. For now his heart has been filled by others. "But it doesn't have to be this way. With you paying all that debt, it's got me in a tough position."
"You don't have to think about the money. I sincerely help you and I don't expect anything from you either."
"Because that's what makes me feel bad about you. Moreover, I cannot repay that feeling." Shifah didn't mean to make Wilson hurt. It's just that feeling can't be forced.
Wilson's eyes dimmed slightly. Implied disappointment behind his eyes, as soon as he heard the words of Shifah just now. "Not to think about. I myself know that your feelings are currently on my brother."
What Wilson said certainly came back as a surprise to Shifah. He did not think that his feelings for Jackson had been known by others. Especially to someone who just told him how he felt.
"I hope we can still be friends and you don't avoid me like I'm an enemy to you."
Their conversation stalled until here, because the two were invited to go home each. Leaving behind two feelings that would somehow dock how later.
