Plakk!!
The sound of a slap that sounded so loud, was able to make all the people who were still there shudder in pain.
"What are you thinking, huh?! Where's your brain? You must have intentionally done all this to thwart your engagement plans, right?"
His father's tantrums don't scare Cessie. Even he bravely looked back at the eyes of the father who was now shining sharply. "Basic child does not know it is lucky! I've prepared all this for your engagement party. But you screwed it all up!".
Cakra looked at the only child with an angry expression so noticeable. Cessie remained silent without commenting. Who said he was listening to his father. His father's words just entered his right ear and came out of his left ear. The term means nothing to him.
"Take care of me, Cessie Ardhinata!" he didn't play - play.
Cessie gave a lazy look at the father who had been provoked by Dewo's words. Actually the problem about the footage had something to do with him. To be honest, Cessie gave Venson the idea of showing the tape on his birthday.
The suggestion was rejected by Venson, because he did not want to make a mess at people's parties. In part, he plans to unmask Mertha and Joela right on the anniversary of his company. And that's only 4 days away.
But Cessie says it's too long and forces Venson to unmask her. In the end, Venson agreed and what had just been seen and heard by all the invited guests.
Unfortunately, when they were discussing when the right time for the video screening, their words had been heard by Dewo who had been suspicious since the beginning of the party.
Dewo did not stay silent, he intended to inform Cakra of the plan early. But failed because the event first started. He was only able to tell her, when the guests were invited to go home.
Clearly Cakra was so angry to learn that the failure at this core event was caused by his own daughter. Though it was just about to get into the core of the event, but instead failed to be implemented.
Actually, this is the reason Cessie asked Venson to unmask Mertha at her party, which is to thwart her engagement to Dewo. He did not want Shifah to know that he would be paired with Dewo.
Actually Cessie intends not to invite her cousin's sister, if Venson does not want to follow his advice. And most likely Shifah will certainly be disappointed in him, if he knows that his brother will be paired with Dewo.
But because Venson agreed to the idea, Cessie did not tell Shifah that there was a birthday party. In her heart, Cessie heaved a sigh of relief because her sister would not know the matchmaking problem that would tie her to the Dewo.
"I've told you, that I don't want to be paired with him. But why is it still being forced!" furious Cessie because of the compulsion that continues to be done by his two families.
But Cakra still does not care about the rejection that continues to be thrown by his son. "You don't want to, you have to marry Dewo. I don't accept rejection at all."
A disappointed look was present in Cessie's heart. Again, his own father would not listen to what he wanted. His life has been pretty much arranged, now his parents again force their will against him.
"What, Ma'am Jasmine wants to marry Mas Dewo?" The sentence of the question came out of the mouth of someone who was not far from the debate earlier. Cessie stared in shock at who was standing a few meters in front of this.
That person was none other than Shifah who had just come along with Jackson. At first Shifah does not know about this party, but he is told by Jackson and they both intend to make a surprise for Cessie.
But it seems even Shifah who received the surprise. "Sir, what does the same om say?" Cessie could not answer, because it would hurt her sister.
Shifah's eyes hinted at disappointment. Somehow the current feeling is clear he did not agree with the plan omnya who want to marry Cessie with Dewo.
Shifah walked towards the face of om and tantenya. "Om and Aunt, Shifah please force Ms. Jasmine to marry Dewo mas. Shifah please Om and Aunt cancel your plans."
There is a reason why Shifah does not want his brother to marry Dewo. Not because the Shifah likes Dewo, but there are problems that occur between Shifah and Dewo. And the problem is that only Shifah, Cessie, Dewo and God know.
Cakra's anger increased when he heard what Shifah said just now. "What if I want my son to marry by my choice?" Shifah gulped his saliva with great difficulty.
Actually, he could have mentioned the reason. But it was the same as opening an old wound in his heart. Even his past will be exposed and Shifah does not want to get a bad view of the people closest to him.
Shifah really does not want if Cessie to get stuck in a relationship with Dewo. Because Dewo is not as good as others think. Sonya took a step closer to Shifah. "What do you know about my daughter's kindness?".
Sonya's view of her sister-in-law's son sharpened even more. Sonya does not like Shifah and her parents, because they live Sonya and Cakra so messy.
Shifah wasn't stupid enough not to know that om and his aunt didn't like him. But what Shifah was confused about was what mistake he had made to his parents Cessie?.
Shifah is about to reopen the sound, but is stopped by Sonya. "You better shut up. Never mind our business. Who do you think you are? You're just an outsider in my family!"
The words reached the heart of Shifah. This was not the first time he had gotten such a sentence. But still he felt sad.
"Sonya! Watch what you say!" asha's grandmother snapped at her daughter-in-law. Already since then he held back emotions over the sentence that the child and daughter-in-law had said. Especially for the forced matchmaking they want to pass to Cessie.
Asha's grandmother stared intently at the child and daughter-in-law. "I think after I get back here, you guys can come to your senses and get better." For a moment Grandma Asha paused her words.
"But I was wrong. You two are still the same as before. Stay selfish and blame people!" he continued with a disappointed look implied in his eyes.
But Cakra as his son, was unaware of that gaze. "Originally you know, it was your family that made us ignore girls. You should be self-conscious enough not to add to my family's burden!"
Shifah was puzzled over the question from his aunt. "What auntie mean?" Sonya looked straight at her nephew. Just now that she was about to speak, Grandma Asha cut her off first.
"Don't talk about anything that has nothing to do with today's problems." Actually Asha's grandmother intended to stop the intention of her daughter-in-law who wanted to open the old wound story.
"If your people hadn't hung around 1.5 M, none of this would have happened!"
Shifah's eyes widened to hear the nominal debt of his parents. "1.5 M? That much, Om?" Really surprised to hear that. "Yes, that much. Even the debt was in bloom up to 4.5 M." explained Cakra to Shifah.
"If you can pay off that debt, then Cessie won't be my match with Dewo."
From that statement means that the underlying match between Cessie and Dewo is only a debt repayment. Although in Cakra's mind he intended to match his daughter with Dewo to expand his business.
Shifah looked at her brother with a guilty look. In his heart he condemned his ignorance of his parents' debt. Cessie herself also did not think that her parents were too bad to match her with Dewo because of her parents' debt Shifah.
The debate continued, even the Venson family was still there with a complete formation. All five were confused and shocked at the words of the head of the Ardhinata family.
"Om, Shifah please don't force Ms. Cess to marry Mas Dewo. Debt problems let Shifah pay. Om Shifah please." ask Shifah to his om.
Cakra chuckled at the sentence that Shifah said. "You sure you can pay it all off? 4.5 M is a lot. Where to get money, if you're a schoolboy and don't work."
"You can pay it all off, as long as you want to marry me." Everyone turned to look at the person who just spoke.
