Marriage Contract Secret Agent
Betraying the Alston Family

In the Alston family, after dinner, Gaines suddenly wanted to have a one-on-one conversation with Grandpa Alston. The old man took her to the study room and sat facing each other while sipping a cup of tea.

Alston's grandfather seemed to have guessed what his eldest grandson wanted.

“Do you have to do this? Gaines, you weren't like this before. What made you what you are now?” asked Grandpa Alston to start the conversation.

Gaines frowned and closed his lips, not speaking directly. But his silence had already convinced Grandpa Alston. Then Gaines remembered his childhood with Dallas and his family. But it's too late. He couldn't possibly withdraw from the serial killer organization.

“Why didn't you give me the heir position, but in Dallas that year?” ask Gaines.

“Because you are easily influenced by others. Before I handed over the heir position to Dallas, hadn't you been contacted by them to take over the Alston family?” Grandpa Alston squinted. “I am a war veteran who once dealt with Rogers, your current boss. Who would have guessed if he would target the Alston family afterwards.”

Grandpa Alston has been hiding this for years. He knew about Gaines' betrayal from his men and it was then that he realized Rogers had returned after escaping that year.

Rogers was the boss of a serial killer from then until now. Some of his men were already killed when Grandpa Alston took the lead in the past and worked with Country K to eradicate it.

But Rogers survived despite being seriously injured and never showing up again for years. Now its appearance in the capital must not be small. The Alston family was one of the goals of his revenge.

Gaines chuckles, “It turns out Grandpa knows a lot.”

He squinted, a little angry in his heart. He's not as determined as Dallas is in terms of feelings. He used to just wonder why Grandpa Alston gave Dallas the position of heir instead of himself as the eldest grandson.

Then he has joined Rogers to become an assassin, venting his emotions on others and weapons. That's when Gaines realized that the Night Guest who always foiled all his plans was his own brother, Dallas.

Then, Gaines took out a gun from his slippery suit pocket and pointed it at Grandpa Alston.

“What do you want now?” Alston's grandfather looked tired and did not expect that his eldest grandson himself would point a gun at him.

“Grandfather, my request is very simple. I just want the Alston family and replace Dallas. Now that Dallas is injured and it is impossible to lead any more, I want you to hand it to me. Otherwise, I cannot guarantee the life of Dallas and his wife,” explains Gaines with flushed eyes. He prepared to pull the trigger at any time, pointing it at Grandpa Alston's forehead.

“Do you want to betray family?”

“Yes. After I got out of this house, I was an enemy of the Alston family. Of course if you hand over the Alston family to me, I will still protect you.”

Grandpa Alston closed his eyes, looking helpless. “It is impossible for me to hand over the Alston family to you. Gaines, Rogers is my enemy and I won't let him take over this family. Gaines, be aware, in his eyes, you are just a tool.”

After that, gunshots were heard in the study room but the person outside the room did not know what was happening.

After that, Gaines came out of the study room and went down the stairs one by one. Then he crossed paths with Mr. Alston and Mrs Alston.

“Gaines, what are you talking about with your grandfather? Why so long? Is everything okay?”

Madame Alston saw her son descend, finally unable to resist being curious. But Mrs Alston saw Gaines holding a gun, her face pale.

“How can you have that thing? What happened exactly?”

Mr. Alston suspected that Gaines might have shot Grandpa Alston and couldn't stop being surprised.

“You ... why are you doing this?” tanyakanya.

Gaines. “Of course for our family. Dad, tell Dallas that if he doesn't hand over the Alston family to me, everything will be ruined. I will destroy this family,” he replied.

Mr. Alston is as pale as his wife. Seeing Gaines leave the house, he hurriedly went up to the second floor to find out Grandpa Alston's condition.

“Dad!” his yell.

Mr. Alston opened the study and saw Grandpa Alston sitting on the sofa with his bleeding left arm. His face was clearly pale and seemed to have grown older. Seeing the blood spilling from the gunshot wound, Mr. Alston finally could not help but tremble.

Madame Alston had just arrived there and looked at Grandpa Alston's dazed-looking condition.

“This ..” He looks confused and frightened. Never seen this much blood.

“What are you waiting for? Quickly contact family doctor!” shouted Mr. Alston.

Before Madame Alston reacted, Arran had already come.

“No need, I'm here,” said Arran as he walked towards the study room. The doctor's white coat looks brand new.
