At the food stall that is still quite crowded, Indra accidentally met with one of his village friends, Manto. Indra who had been dining at another table immediately moved to his desk as soon as he saw it.
"You! Why are you here?" Ask Indra.
Manto looked and was immediately shocked. "Hey! The senses! You apparently! How are you doing now? It was a success I think you're. Your stomach is distended, the sign is that you have succeeded." Reply Manto.
"Ah. Ordinary aja. I was not successful. Still the same as before, scavenging for windfall like a chicken that is looking for food on the ground.
"Ah... Don't be so cocky as you are, man. Your body is a big height like an executioner I look."
"Eh... This skinny little bit. It's a big high because it's catching a cold." Answer Indra.
"Oh, yeah. What do you do now?"
"Work on sea bro, so ABK squid."
"yeah. Steady times, my friend. ABK has a lot of money."
"Depends the catch is bro. What do you do yourself?" Ask Indra.
"Labour. Again my unemployment. That's why I've been stressed."
"Lho. Not before you were in Kalimantan, yeah."
"Yes. But I've been here one week looking for a job."
"Oh that. In Borneo what do you do, bro?"
"So the lackeys of the debt collector. Heavy bro. Take on debt."
"What is heavy? Stay charged according to the tempo. If you do not pay, well, the interest on the debt blooms with children."
"Trus if everyone can't pay the debt, where do we get the salary from? We had to make a rough way of debt collection time. Whatever the reason, the debt must be paid when it is due. Otherwise, we're scrambling his place of business."
"God. Horrified your game times. If your place of business is damaged, how can he pay the debt then?"
"That's none of our business. What matters to us is money, money, and money. They should be ready with all the consequences if they are late to pay the debt. But the problem isn't that it makes me stop being a debt collector's accomplice."
"What?"
"I was afraid in case I was snooped, and stalked on the road for revenge after messing up his place of business. 'There's danger! My life is the bet."
"Yes too."
They talked for quite a while even after finishing their meal. Then, accompanied by a few cigarettes and a cup of coffee, they continued to chat until midnight.
Sometimes they meet photos and send them to their respective social media.
It was only when the time showed at twelve past five minutes, they ended their conversation after realizing the shop owner who had grown tired of waiting for only the two of them left, while the place was empty of buyers.
The shop owner had been holding back sleepiness on his eyelids while leaning his back against the wall.
"Yes already. Yuk pull!"
They immediately moved and reached into each other's pockets. But when he was going to pay, suddenly his friend Manto said, "You buy me first. You have a lot of money working at sea. We rarely meet anyway."
"Ouch.. Can't be me. There's no money. Not our paychecks."
"Allah. Many times your reasons. Tell me you're a stingy."
"No bro. We haven't paid anything."
"Yes already. Pay each one. Bete.
But because of the words of his friend, he changed his mind and paid for his food. The rest of the money that he should have been able to use up to payday, ran out that night for the sake of friendship.
When paying for the food, his friend Manto instead of saying thank you but instead mocked him, "No, there is your money. You said it wasn't payday, the evidence can be dealt with. Can you lend me money."
"Eh.... There-there's this you. Nevermind! We'll just go home."
They soon split up after exchanging mobile numbers.
When he got home, Tono and his family fell asleep. For fear of interrupting, he walked around, picked up a scabbard and slept in the front room.
*********
The next day, Indra got word that they would receive a wage. Quickly he got up from where he was sleeping and went over to the busy Tono in the kitchen holding his son while his wife cooked.
"Ton, today we payday. I just heard from Maribet. Get ready now. I just wash my face and brush my teeth and then cappus. The chunky! Not long!"
Hearing that, Tono's face that had looked stressed immediately laughed. While still fondling his son, he spoke accompanied by a smile comforting his wife, "Sus, at night we eat out well. We haven't had dinner out for a long time."
"No need! No need to waste money. Many needs! There is also a lot of debt! Eat at home. Don't go out-of-the-box eating, but borrow here and there tomorrow."
"Ga needs to sewot so Sus replied. Just talk relaxed. Don't worry. We can still pay the debt even though we have eaten outside. 'You only eat out, not in restaurants or cafes."
For a moment his wife was struck by confusion upon hearing those words. "What do you mean?" He asked while frowning his forehead.
"Eating outside will eat on the roadside. Buy from a pedal that sells using a wheelbarrow. 'Kan. I think we're going out." He answered while smiling.
"I wonder yeah. Life has not increased at all. Dating, eating on the side of the road, getting married and having children, still eating on the side of the road. Why not eat at the edge of the cliff or at the edge of the cliff? Can you really feel the pleasure of life? Can't be at the cafe, at least at a slightly nicer food stall!" Gerrutu.
Being increasingly upset, he turned off the stove and left his half-cooked cooking.
"Well he's lashing out. Women are easy to swallow. Am I talking wrong or am I being too innocent?"
Before long, Indra called him from the front room, "Ton, are you ready yet? Let's unplug!"
But Tono still carries her child. "Yes. Yes wait!" He then went to his wife in the room.
"Sus. I go first dad. We'll talk again." He then put his son on the bed.
