The Part 10

In the morning, although the eyelids still feel heavy, and the whole body still wants to lie down, the woman is willing to wake up earlier than usual to prepare provisions for Indra. With potluck ingredients, he tried to juggle it into good food.

Then after everything was done, she went to wake her son up,

"Hey! Wake up! Wake up! Come eat! At 7 you should leave immediately."

As she said so, her hot breath evaporated into her mother's face as her mother pulled out her blanket.

"Nature! Your breath stinks! Didn't brush your teeth last night? Huh huh? Ckckck... You're a big one! Keep cleaning! Wake up! Let's wake!"

Then the woman went to the kitchen and rambled again, "Sleeping fast is still difficult to wake up, let alone sleep late at night. That's why if you don't fight back!"

Indra who followed behind, immediately took the plate from his shelf preparing to eat. But as lightning flashed in the sky, his mother's hand very quickly snatched the plate from his hand.

"Eat after you wash your face and brush your teeth!" His mother said in a fierce tone.

So he went to the backyard and washed his face and his teeth. While she was washing her face and teeth, her mother prepared a supply of drinking water for her and put it in a plastic bag.

"Your food is on the table. I'm going to go wash the dishes." Shouts from the kitchen.

A pile of dirty dishes inside a large basin was carried over his head to a public bathhouse, where people there used to bathe and wash.

Indra who finished washing his face and teeth, immediately ate his food quickly, because Soni contacted him so as not to be late. After that he immediately went to Soni's house while carrying a bag of food.

From the path he cried farewell to his mother who was still washing dirty dishes. The public bath is on the side of the road. So that if someone calls out, his voice can be heard clearly.

Arriving at Soni's residence, without buying time, they immediately went to the road construction project. After facing the foreman filling the list present, they were immediately told to straddle the pebbles that would be used to build the road. They filled the stones into buckets and carried them, spreading them all the way to the entire boundary of the road to be built.

The construction project was very long about 1 kilometer more.

It was still early in the morning, their spirits still burning. Their power is still full so that the pebbles can be lifted and pushed quite a lot to the ground. But when the sun started blazing, and fatigue struck, their knees began to wobble and tremble as they walked over ever greater distances. The load they carried in the bucket was about 10 kg, and they had already walked back and forth 20 times since morning.

That sentence sounded so soothing, because that was what they had wanted since then but were afraid.

They immediately put the two buckets of stone in their hands and sat down on the side of the road. Removing sweaters while fanning their faces with clothes that they loose because the wind does not blow.

Then they stood up to stretch the muscles of their numb hands.

But even though all the muscles and joints aren't completely good, they have to get back to work until lunchtime, and they have a chance to rest.

Until then, they put all their strength into the end so that they could lift the stones and spread them to the ground until the time of rest came. The burden is getting heavier.

Then when the break finally arrived, unexpectedly the foreman called them and gave them fried food. "Well, it's eating!" Said the foreman while handing him a small bag of fried plastic.

They were very happy to receive special attention from the foreman. But shortly after taking the fritters, another group of laborers came to thank the foreman. Apparently the fried food he had distributed before to all the workers until the remaining only 3 fried foods. Then he put it in a small bag and give it to Indra and Soni.

"I think we're special. Not to mention, what is given is only fried leftovers." Grumpy Indra.

"Well, his name is also labor. Where is there something special." Connect Soni.

But even so they divide the fried foods one by one. But in one last passage, Indra asked, "For me well. You don't like fried food."

After they had eaten, they laid themselves on the pebbles on the ground, hoping it could massage their aching and grieving backs. But what happens is that their backs are getting sick and painful. So they moved to a grassy place and fell for a while there.

"Ah.. good." Soni. The coldness of the grass growing under the tree plus the coolness of the wind blowing, made the pain in his spine slowly disappear.
