Chapter 3: The Pain
Meryn's gaze was just blank staring at the middle sea through the space window. He is a man who is in a position to be carried away by life after finding all the people he loved died tragically at the hands of the mafia.
Meryn's memory goes back to the back. She recalled the happy times she had spent with Henry, the man who should have filled her night as a husband, who had left her out of the world.
On the threshold of the entrance to Meryn's room, Orlando looked at her in silence. More than anyone, he knew what kind of destruction Meryn was facing. In this situation he could only fall silent looking at Meryn from a distance.
“You don't want to accompany him, Boss?” ask Paulo who came near Orlando.
“He'll slap me again if I get close.”
“What will you do?”
“Pending.” Orlando turned his head in the other direction. “I will wait until anytime. Until he talks to me again. Then I will explain everything ... about his family.”
Orlando looked at the watch. “Prepare helicopter now. I have to fly to San Marino,” Orlando said as he walked away from Meryn's room.
“How about Miss Meryn?”
“Just order all the maids to treat him as best as possible,” Orlando said. He paused for a moment, looking at Paulo who was standing next to him. “And call me to make it here again after he searches for me. I don't care until when!”
At least until now he knew he could not get close to Meryn who was still in a state of mourning. No matter if Orlando felt that killing Meryn's family was the best thing he could do for Meryn, Meryn wouldn't understand that and would hate him for a while. Therefore, it is better to stay away from Meryn to take care of her business which is chaotic because of the attack she did on Meryn's wedding day. He knew these days Meryn would hate it even more if she forced herself to approach him.
“Good, Boss.”

Losing loved ones is hard. For at least a week Meryn could not utter a word and had no intention of setting her foot outside the room. He continued to shut himself up and quietly dampened his sadness to then think clearly again.
Exactly a week after the incident in her marriage. He just remembered another call that the mafia man used to call his name.
“Meryn De Luca?” meryn muttered as she looked at her face in front of the mirror. “Why did he call me De Luca? My last name is Patrizia, not De Luca.”
Along with his clear mind, Meryn also suspects details about the mafia man who had locked him in this place. He felt something strange. Like there's a big secret he doesn't know.
“Mistress, warm water for your bath is ready.” A maid came into Meryn's room.
“Where is the man?” asked softly Meryn with her cold facial expression.
“Who ... You mean, Mrs?”
“Tax that mafia!” Meryn snapping.
“-You mean, Mr Orlando Dominic?” said the servant stammering.
“True. Where is he now?!”
“Be-beliau is in San Marino to take care of business.”
“What? Business? Can he take care of business after killing a lot of people? What is that cruel mafia?!” meryn yelled in emotion as she kicked down her dresser.
Bruaaakk!
The sound of the table breaking made the female servant step up in shock. But he could say nothing but step back slowly leaving Meryn in his room alone. Then report to his superiors that the mistress he serves is looking for his employer.
The news reached Orlando who was still in the meeting room. He was listening to the presentation of a man when Paula came in suddenly.
Having his right hand in this secret meeting room, Orlando raised his hand, interrupting for a moment the meeting was going on. The man who was doing the presentation also stopped for a moment his activities immediately saw the Big Boss' hand gesture.
“Nona Meryn is already looking for you, Boss,” whispered slowly Paulo to Orlando.
Orlando smiled faintly between his serious faces. He remains charming with a faint smile that is then lost.
“Ready, Boss.”

Meryn anxiously awaits Orlando's return to the castle. He had already prepared many questions for the man as soon as he came. After waiting for several hours, there was the sound of a helicopter arriving on the roof of the castle building. Meryn gasped at the sound of the helicopter's arrival. But he immediately controlled himself so that he did not look very waiting. He tried to be calm and waited for Orlando to come to his bedroom to talk.
“You waiting for me, Honey?”
From the direction of the door the voice suddenly shrank. Orlando came in his stride, approaching Meryn who was waiting for him on the window bench.
“Don't call me carelessly. I'm not who you are.” Meryn warned.
With a half-mocking expression Orlando firmly spoke, “At least for now you can speak so.”
Meryn immediately got up from sitting down. He put both his hands in front of his chest. While Orlando walked over with his charming face and thinly knotted smile. Longing smile.
“Who is De Luca? Why did you call me De Luca that afternoon?” asked Meryn cynically.
As if the question was nothing, Orlando answered lightly. “That's your name.”
“My name is Meryn Patrizia!”
“It was after they changed your name.” Orlando calmly replied.
Sighing in puzzled Meryn asked, “What do you mean?” approaching Orlando. He really did not know what the man was talking about and did not understand what he meant.
Orlando took a long breath. She leaned her body against Meryn's dresser. Piled his ass on that table while crossing his legs.
“You've been tricked into your own family, Meryn. De Luca is your real name ... Meryn De Luca.” Orlando answered briefly.
What a very unexplainable explanation. Meryn was confused by Orlando's statement.
“What do you mean? Tell me clearly!” meryn shouted as she brought her face closer towards Orlando.
Instantly Orlando gripped both of Meryn's shoulders. Makes them barely distant. Their faces are very close. Another inch Orlando pulled her closer, they were already about to kiss.
“I saved your life, Meryn. That's what you should know.” Strictly and calmly, Orlando told Meryn that. That his decision to kill the entire Meryn family in the cathedral was the best decision for the survival of Meryn who had lived long enough in the shadow of her own family.
A few seconds Meryn was silent without a word to digest Orlando's sentence. And he did not understand what the man was saying.
“I have absolutely no understanding, Mr Dominic!”
Orlando released his hand grip on Meryn's body. Then his face turned.
“You'll understand, my dear. All you have to know is one..”.
Orlando's view went back to Meryn before he continued to say, “I killed them all for you.”
“Liar!” timpal Meryn's. “Don't make me an excuse. You killed them all for yourself! How could I possibly trust you who's a mafia? Am I crazy?”
Meryn shouted as she took a few steps back from Orlando. Given how ruthless a cold-blooded mafia was, Meryn felt unable to trust the man. How could he possibly believe the man who had slaughtered his family? If you remember how cruel the tragedy at her wedding, Meryn's mind still wants to scream in pain. When he saw his parents helpless. And when he saw how Henry's head was pierced by bullets.
While away, Meryn's tears fell. Seeing Meryn who was back in tears, Orlando began to feel furious. The man followed Meryn's steps. He clutched his shoulders and gave a warning.
“Aware, Meryn. How long will you be weak like this?! How long will you be deceived by them? Until when?! I've brought you all the way here to make you rediscover yourself. Be aware! Do not let your sorrow eat away at your soul. I don't want a weak bride-to-be like this!” cetus Orlando gripped both of Meryn's shoulders.
“Pe ... bride?”
