7 DUTIES OF A WIFE

In the Hadith the Prophet said.

From Mu'adz ibn Jabal, he said, I went to Sham. Then I saw them bow down to their priests and clergymen. Then you, O Messenger of Allah, are more worthy of our bowing down to you. She said, If I command a man to bow down to someone, I shall command a woman to bow down to her husband because of the great right of the husband to her. (Shahih Al Jami’: 5294).

Serving Husband

Serving the husband's invitation in intercourse is an obligation that must be done by the wife unless there is a justifiable reason according to the shara such as menstruation. If the wife refuses the husband's invitation, the angel will curse her.

Allah SWT said:

"Your wives are (as) the land where you grow crops, so come the land where you grow crops how you will. Do (good deeds) for yourself, and fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give glad tidings of those who believe" (QS. Al Baqara: 223).

In a hadith, the Prophet said:

"If a husband calls his wife to sleep at his place of complaint then he refuses (to come) until the husband is angry with his wife last night to eat the angel will do it until morning. (Bukhari and Muslim HR).

Go with Husband's Permit

The wife must not travel alone unless she has permission from her husband or with his mahram appointed by her husband. This is solely for the safety of the wife if it gets interference on the trip.

The Prophet said: "It is not lawful (ban) for women who believe in Allah and the last day (apocalypse) to travel within a day and night except together with their mahram. (Bukhari and Muslim HR).

Wife Keeps Husband's Good Name

A wife must always keep her husband's good name both at home and not at home. If the wife has betrayed her husband, the household will experience turmoil. A wife must also abstain from acts that raise her husband's suspicions.

Allah SWT said:

That is to say: Whoever does good deeds, both men and women, while he is a believer, they enter into heaven and are not persecuted in the least. (QS. With Nisa: 124).

Guarding Yourself and Trust against Husband's treasure

As long as the husband is not at home, a good wife will take good care of everything that belongs to the husband and put it as her responsibility. The wife must also take care of herself, her children and the sanctity of her offspring.

Allah SWT says;

Meaning: And know that your wealth and your children are only a trial, and that with Allah is a great reward. (QS. Al Anfal verse 28).

Not Putting Someone Into the House Without Husband's Permission

When the husband is not at home, the wife should not put other people, especially other men, into her house without the permission of the husband or mahram who has been appointed by the husband.

The Prophet said:

"Then take care of yourself against women. You may take them as the trust of Allah, and they are lawful to you by obeying the rules of Allah. After that, you have a right to them, that they may not allow others to occupy your mat. If they break, beat them in a way that does no harm. Instead they have a right over you. That is a living and proper clothing. (CHR. Muslim) [No. 1218 Sharh Shahh Muslim] Shahid.

Pleasing the Husband's Heart

A wife is obliged to please and please the husband. The wife decorated and smile for the husband so that it will create an atmosphere of harmonious and loving home life.
