Don't want to be like Papa

That morning I woke up to be startled by the sound of Riri screaming asleep next to me, I opened my eyes while she was screaming hysterically while looking at me.

"Yyyyyyyyy....!!!"

"Why are you Ri?" I panic.

"You dare sleep next to me Dit, I thought you were a good man." He said while crying.

"Lho....We got married yesterday." My answer.

Riri fell silent as she wiped the tears that drenched her cheeks and turned to look at me.

"Hehehe...Sorry Riri forgot." He said with a red face.

"Yeeeee dodol, time of forgetting, was only yesterday."

"Dear mum, I'm surprised, I'm not used to waking up and you're next to me."

"Hahahaha funny you Ri, I got shocked earlier, kirain what's wrong."

"I'm sorry my husband." He said he kissed my hand.

"It's okay." I said while kissing her forehead.

"Eh if so I make breakfast first yes, you take a shower first there, later when it's finished I wait at the dinner table." Said Riri.

"Lho, there's Auntie, why do you have to cook."

"Iiih Adit, I'm now your wife, I'm obligated to make you breakfast, a lifetime of eating Auntie's cooking anyway." Riri.

"You are a good wife, if so I take a shower first yes, then we meet my family, because they will go home this morning to Bandung."

After taking a shower I went to the dinner table and there Riri had been waiting with her fried rice.

"It looks good." I said.

"Yes, you ate first, my husband, now change, I take a bath." Answer Riri.

Riri headed to the upstairs bathroom to take a shower, while I stayed at the dinner and breakfast table with Riri's fried rice that looked really delicious. I ate the first mouthful of fried rice, and my eyes were wide at the instant of the taste, but out of respect for my wife's efforts, I ate it to the end, even while crying of course.

"Where's baby, good?" Said Riri who came down from the upper room.

"Enak...Thanks, baby, you don't want to have breakfast?" My toot.

"Dear, your family will wait, pity, I've tried a little, not good with my cooking." Riri said laughing.

"What's? So you know your cooking is not good?"

"Yeah...Thanks baby you ate the bad fried rice, I know you just want to appreciate me." Riri said with a smile.

Then we met my family who had just finished breakfast.

"Boiled the newlyweds, how was last night? how many rounds?" Ask Father.

"Winning W.O sir, the opponent didn't come." My answer.

"Hehe sorry baby, I'm exhausted." Riri said to welcome the laughter of my entire family.

They were all preparing to go home, except for Pay and Tiwi who I had deliberately stayed with me and Riri in that very big house, after all we were planning to send Tiwi to Jakarta, which yesterday was delayed because of my separation and Riri, I have also offered Rai to continue his studies here, but Rai refused, unfortunately with his scholarship, he said.

"Wah lumahnya more than the old house, there is a pool as well." Tiwi said when she got home.

"Tiwi likes to swim?" Ask Riri.

"It's a pleasure, Brother, even though Tiwi can't swim." The answer.

"Asshiii, what a sister." Tiwi.

"Tiwi happy?" My toot.

"Thank you, Brother Adit, Brother Lili." Tiwi.

A moment of our conversation was interrupted because some of the guests who came, looked they were dressed neatly, wearing suits and ties, too, it turns out they were all Papa's confidants who during his illness took care of his businesses, they came because they handed me a stack of files to read and sign, so many files, so many, because it is Papa's business in many cities even up to France.

They asked me when I was ready to take care of everything, because they said some big investors and clients were waiting for a potential replacement Papa.

That night I read all the papers and signed them, I worked late in the room, but half of them I hadn't finished.

"Rest first baby, don't force it, I'll make you your favorite warm sweet tea." Said Riri giving a drink.

"Yes, baby, responsibility." My answer.

"Yes, I massage ya." Said my wife who then massaged me.

It feels good massage Riri tonight, I turned to look at Riri who smiled at me, until finally I carried her on the bed, I said, finally our first night as newlyweds happened on that second night.

The next day I woke up early to continue my work, before long Riri told me to deliver Tiwi school list.

Every few minutes my phone rang from clients trying to make an appointment. So like this Papa's life every day, it was fitting that he never had time for his daughter.

I thought for a moment, I told myself that I didn't want to be like Papa before, I didn't want to always not have time for my wife, nor my children later, either, I was looking for a way to not be like Papa, until I finally got an idea.

Shortly I called Sinta and told her to come 3 days later, I also contacted all Papa's confidants, who during Papa's illness took care of his business spread across many cities. 3 Days later Sinta came directly from Bandung with accompanied by Mr. Doctor.

"What did Dit get you to tell Brother to come?" Said.

"Son I need help Brother."

"My help? What help?"

"Wouldn't you go back to work?"

"worked? like before?"

"Not Brother, it seems I need a right hand to take care of everything, Brother wants to be my right hand?"

"Right hand? mean how? Brother doesn't understand too much."

"Let's just explain when the guests I've invited are here."

A few hours later all Papa's confidants from various cities came, I gathered them in Papa's study in this house. I explained that I had a new working system to them, I said that now Sinta is my right hand who will hold all of Papa's company, he said, but I still need one person from each company to lead there.

Sinta will only intervene if there is a very large project and need it, whereas if it is just a regular project it will be the responsibility of each person, he said, whereas I will monitor from the company where I work first, and work only if there are important files that I need to sign.

This is all I do just for my wife, because I don't want if my whole life is just busy working and there's no time for her, I'm willing to pay them all bigger just for Riri's sake.

Finally the meeting was over, everyone agreed with the new work system that I created, and finally they went back to their respective cities.

"Your smart Dit, that way you don't need to travel to take care of all your business right." Said Sinta.

"Yes sister, I did all this for Riri." I said smile.

"So when did you start working?" Ask Brother.

"Next week Brother, because of the plan I want to invite all of you to join me and Riri for three days."

"Seriously you? where to?" Ask Sinta pleased.

"Melite." I said mention our honeymoon destination.
