Forgetting memories

Inside Theo's room in the hospital.

The whole family awaits Theo's consciousness to recover after surgery. Actually they were not allowed to be in there together, but because the grandfather chose the large vvip room then the doctor allowed it.

The King and Queen whispered to each other in the silent room. Tamara is outside the room, receiving a phone call from Saka. Not long after Theo began to blink normalizing his eyes with the light in the room.

"Theo.." called the grandfather when Theo opened his eyes.

"I where?" say the voice of the raucous. "Why is everything here?" asked Theo who was confused when he saw the grandfather and all his family members gathered there.

The King and Queen approached Theo's bedside. "Thank God you're conscious, son" said the Queen as she gently rubbed her son's face.

"What happened to Theo, mom?"

"There was a little accident when you went to Dira's village."

Theo frowned, and his head began to hurt. "Who's Dira, mom?" asked Theo while holding his head.

The whole family gasped at Theo's words, they suspected something had happened to his memory because of the impact.

"Did you really not remember Dira?" the Queen asked while looking at Theo.

Theo shook his head. "Who is that, mom?"

"It's good you don't remember it anymore. He is a fraud, even his family is the same", said the grandfather.

The King and Queen were silent when they heard the grandfather's words. They could not refute the words of the grandfather, because they did not have strong evidence.

"Did you remember Tiara?"

"Yes, Tiara is here, mom", he said as he just stepped in. The Queen's countenance changed when she saw Tiara, for some reason she didn't like the girl, rather the shameless woman. Then Tiara walked over to the mother-in-law.

"Mommy knew that Tiara wanted to come here" he continued with the Queen's hand.

"Enough 1 daughter-in-law called me mommy!"

"Yes, mommy's daughter-in-law is only 1. Tiara right?" tiara said confidently.

"When are we getting married?" ask Theo. He thought that Tiara was still overseas at the moment.

"We are not married, baby. But after..."

"You're getting married next week!" said grandfather firmly. She didn't want people to talk about Tiara, because she was pregnant without a husband.

Theo stared confusedly at the conversation between his family and Tiara. "So grandfather already accepted Tiara as the granddaughter-in-law?" asked Theo with sparkling eyes.

The grandfather replied with a nod of his head. But suddenly Theo grimaced while holding his head, when he could not control his happiness. The king came out of the room to see the doctor. The queen who saw the husband walked out, hurriedly followed him. He didn't like the talk about Tiara.

"Where's Mommy going?" ask Tamara when she sees the mommy also come out.

"You follow your daddy", he said by continuing to catch up with his husband.

Tamara put her phone back in her sling bag, and then she walked into her room.

"Owh, there's this snake woman" he muttered. He stood right next to his grandfather. "It turns out brother Theo was conscious. How's brother feeling now?" tanyanya while looking at the brother who was smiling.

"As Ara saw. My brother is happy."

Tamara scrunched her forehead. "Aren't you happy after experiencing all this?"

Tamara looked towards the grandfather. "What was Theo's head hit so hard, why was it so strange?" whisper to grandfather.

"It seems like he has partially forgotten his memory", the grandfather replied in a whisper.

"What are grandfather and Ara talking about? Why whisper?" The smile on Theo's face slowly dissipated as he saw the grandfather and Ara as if keeping something from him.

"It's nothing. Ara just said that she was hungry and wanted to order pizza" said the grandfather lying.

"Owh, so yes. Can Theo follow the message?" tanyakanya.

Ara was confused to hear the words of her grandfather. Why grandfather lies, inner Tamara.,

"You rest enough. After that we will talk about your wedding day" said the grandfather.

"Can't pa", the King denied when he had just stepped in, but managed to hear his papa's words just now. "Theo's still not divorced and she's having short-term amnesia."

"The divorce is in process. And as for Theo's amnesia, I don't think it's a problem, because Theo just forgot his memories with Dira instead of Tiara."

The King and Queen looked at each other. They ran out of words to prevent the marriage from happening.

"Pa, it's good to make sure first that the fetus in the womb of Tiara is indeed Theo flesh blood" proposed the Queen.

"What does aunt mean? Aunty accused me of cheating Theo?" Tiara looked at her future mother-in-law with emotion.

Theo stared at the puzzled debate of his lover and mommy. She was worried that her marriage would be void if they continued to fight. "Sudshlah, mom. We talk about this well after Theo comes home yes", persuaded Theo to let the anger of the two subside.

"Truely said Theo. It's better not to talk about it here", said the grandfather.

The king patted his wife slowly. "Yes, mom. Better not talk about it here."

The queen was silent for a moment. He wanted to tell his father-in-law about his suspicions, but because he did not have enough evidence, he was forced to stay silent for a while.

Tamara who had just listened to the debate, finally realized something. "We are in the hospital, better.we check the contents of Kak Tiara", suggested Tamara.

"Yes, mommy agrees with Ara. So we can all ask for a DNA test" said the mother who did not believe Tiara's words about her pregnancy.

"But Tiara just got off the aunt's obstetrician. Here's the check." Tiara thrust an envelope bearing the hospital logo onto the Queen.

With doubt the Queen grabbed the envelope from Tiara's hand. He opened it and read the records of Tiara's examination. "6 weeks' worth of content?" ask Queen.

"Yes, auntie", says Tiara. Theo's amnesia is a stroke of luck to me, so I don't have to bother changing my pregnancy test results, inner Tiara.

"So you guys were in touch when Theo just got married to Dira?" ask the Queen with restraint on her emotions.

"What's? So I'm married to that Dira?" Theo was shocked to hear the Queen's words.

"Grandfather told you never again to mention the name of the impostor! He's not my son-in-law's grandson anymore!" said grandfather firmly.

This time I survived the question of my chatty mother-in-law, inner Tiara.

"Well, anyone want to tell Theo about Dira?"

The whole family no one wants to answer Theo's question, they really obey the words of the grandfather.

Suddenly the doctor entered Theo's room. "Well, there's a lot of people here. My advice to speed up the recovery of patients is better not to be too crowded, so that the patient's mind relaxes."

"Okay, doc", said the King. Then some of them came out of Theo's room, leaving the Queen alone.
