"Shil, how are you today?" ask Denis gently. But Shilla just looked over and did not answer.

This man was the one my father chose. The man who married me three days ago. But .. I don't want to meet anyone.

Shilla just said inwardly. He is lazy to interact with anyone. That's why he didn't talk.

"Eemm .. I want to tell you something important. I know, you're still in shock over what happened yesterday. But you need to know, either now or later you have to." Denis stopped his words for a moment. I hope there's an answer from Shilla. But, silent, what was in the room did not change. Shilla remained silent, not even turning her head in the slightest.

"Shil, your father's shop and your house were confiscated by the bank because it turned out, your uncle .. pawned all your father's assets and he couldn't pay for them" Denis continued.

Shilla glanced at Denis and lay down. He was angry at the world and angry at God. Shilla didn't want to live anymore, she couldn't even shed her tears. Shilla doesn't care about what's going to happen today and tomorrow. He just wanted to lie down. Denis loved Shilla a long time ago, but Shilla never knew.

a dozen years ago. Denis knew and met Shilla fifteen years ago when his father was still alive and visited the city of S with him. His father wanted to give money to Shilla's father as a favor, but Shilla refused to accept it. So Shilla's father said if Zain lent him, then he would be happy.

 

As the two parents chat Denis decides to take a\-walk and meet a ten-year-old girl. The girl who looked very graceful was watering plants in her simple yard. Denis was fifteen years old at the time. Denis continued to follow and watch from afar. After watering the plant, the girl was called by her father.

 

"Julie!" call the father.

"Yes, Pah." Shilla replied and approached the person who called her.

"Oh, he's Om Suwarman's son" murmured teenage Denis.

The girl went into the house and Denis soon followed in. Shilla was already sitting next to her father. Denis then went into the living room. Everyone looked up at Denis standing up.

"Eh, Denis boy. From anywhere? Here sit down," said Shilla's father.

"Yes, Om. Thank you." Thank you." Denis sat down next to his father. Denis and Shilla, they're sitting opposite. Denis kept looking forward. Shilla was just looking down and quiet.

"Oh, yes, Den. Here, Shilla, Om Suwarman's daughter."Denis' father introduced them both.

"Sheila." Shilla reached out her hand and looked at Denis with a slight smile.

"Dennis." Denis welcomes Shilla's hand. That's when Denis felt something strange, when his hand shook with Shilla.

"Maybe ..this is what people say fall in love?" Denis murmured in his heart.

"Shilla, please make a drink for Om Zain and Denis!" tell Shilla's dad.

"Shilla's good at making coffee, huh, Man?" ask Zain.

"Shilla is good at cooking and doing housework. Because you, you know. We're just the two of us. So, from childhood Shilla was smart to do it," explained Suwarman.

Denis is fascinated and amazed by Shilla. Denis is indeed at an age that is enough to feel attracted to the opposite sex, because adolescence is puberty for humans.

Denis snapped from his daydream. It was the beginning of Denis falling in love with Shilla. After his father met Shilla's father. Every year on school holidays, Denis plays with Shilla's father and stays overnight. But never met Shilla. Because Shilla always stays at her uncle's house if it's a vacation. Until the age of twenty-five, Denis continued to visit Suwarman's house regularly. When Denis found out that Shilla was engaged that's when he never played at Suwarman's house again. From there Mr. Suwarman realized, which makes Denis willing to come every year to accompany Mr. Suwarman is because of love.

That is why, Shilla's father wants Shilla to marry Denis because Shilla's father knows, how sincerely Denis loves his son. Because when Shilla gets engaged she goes away so she doesn't bother Shilla. For ten years he went back and forth to stay at Mr. Suwarman's house. Denis never once met Shilla, he only saw Shilla from a photo on the wall.

Shilla did not answer Denis's remarks. He just got up and stepped away, out of his inpatient room.

"Shil, don't you change your clothes first?" ask Denis who saw Shilla not change her hospital clothes.

He lazily responded to Denis' remarks and continued walking without stopping. Inevitably, Denis requests permission from the doctor who treated Shilla. So that Denis can change the clothes that Shilla is wearing with money only. But, the doctor said if they didn't bother about the shirt.

Denis immediately caught up with Shilla who was walking with a blank look. Denis precedes Shilla to park his car in front of the hospital lobby. Denis and his car are ready in front of the loby. Shilla comes to coincide with Denis getting out of the car. Denis approached Shilla and wanted to take her. Shilla brushed Denis' hand off. Denis opened the front door.

But Shilla opened the back door. He immediately lay on the back bench. Denis feels tremendous pain, not because of Shilla's rejection. But, seeing the girl he loved so much was destroyed. Denis drove his car to the city of C at a normal speed, he did not want to be too fast for fear that Shilla was uncomfortable behind.

Four hours later, they arrived at Denis's mansion. Shilla fell asleep during the trip and woke up when she felt the car was not moving forward. Shilla came down and just stood in front of the door. Denis opened the door.

"Come in! this is our home" Denis said.

Shilla took a slow step and looked to the right and left. Then stop being confused.

I don't want to sleep in the same room with him. What am I supposed to do?

Shilla just silently stared. Denis understood seeing Shilla's confusion. Denis called his maid.

"Bi ... Bi Sum's!" Denis called Bi Sumi.

"Yes, Gan." Bi Sum walked hurriedly towards his master.

After bi Sum came. Denis told Bi Sum to escort Shilla to the main room above.

"Bi Sum, please take Shilla to my room" Denis ordered.

"Come, Nyah. I'm intervening" said Bi Sum.

Shilla did not move from his place and remained there.

"I know Shil, we don't sleep in the room you don't have to worry. Until you've improved and can accept me with your heart, before that happens we'll sleep apart. I'll take your things to the room later." Denis explained gently.

Only then did Shilla move and step up to follow Bi Sumi. They reached Denis's room. Bi Sum opened the door and Shilla walked in.

"Madam if you need me, call me. Oh, yes, my name is, Sumi. Madam can call me, Bi Sum."

Shilla simply nodded and stepped towards the bed and instantly laid her body curled up . Bi Sumi came out and closed the door. Denis in the garage was picking up Shilla's suitcase, after which he took her to the upper room. Sumi approached her master because she told him to put Shilla's clothes in the closet.

"Bi, come with me upstairs. Later, please put Shilla's clothes in the closet and put my clothes in the basket. I'll take her to the guest room!" denis's orders.

"Alright, Gan," Bi Sum replied.

Denis and Bi Sum get to the upper room. Denis knocked on the door and entered afterwards.

"The clothes, the wallet and the money in your room are all in the suitcase. Bi Sum will take care of it. I'm in the basement if you want to find me." Denis spoke while moving his clothes and belongings to be taken to the guest room. After Bi Sum finished tidying up Shilla's belongings, Bi Sum came out carrying Denis's belongings down.

"Shill? I know what your heart is like now. But do you know how much your father loves you? So live well for your father. Let him calm down there. I'm not forcing you to talk, if you don't want to. Love yourself enough. Eat and rest regularly."

Denis came out after saying that. She hoped Shilla would come back as cheerful as ever. Denis closed the door and stood long enough in front of the door to hear Shilla cry.

Shilla's sobbing rattled Denis's recesses, until he involuntarily shed a tear. His heart felt Shilla's profound grief.
