Chapter 113

“Nayla, stop, come back.”

“Fahad?” Andi woke Fahad. The man fell asleep in the chair, next to Nayla. “What's up? You dream?”

Fahad blinked his eyes, he sat up straight after noticing what had just happened. Dreamlike. It was just a dream. He still found Nayla sleeping in front of him. I don't know why it all feels so real. Andi told Fahad to take ablution water and then perform dawn prayers. Now Andi who replaced Fahad accompanied Nayla— sat next to him.

After dawn prayers, Fahad told Andi that he wanted to see his daughter. Cuddling her, the baby stays asleep even though Fahad kisses her in a row. “Jaanu, you haven't been carried by your mom, have you? You want to see Mom, right?” Fahad forces the nurse to let him take his daughter to see Nayla. Initially, the nurse forbid, because it is not good for the baby to enter the room of a critical patient. The doctor came, he allowed. Because the doctor just examined Nayla, and he saw the heartbeat through the bedside monitor—Nayla's heart was getting weaker.

“Maybe this is for the first and last, the baby is meeting his mother.” The doctor muttered softly as he looked at Fahad's back which was getting farther—towards Nayla's room.

Fahad approached Nayla, laying the baby on his left side. Fahad smiled, even while sleeping ..The baby was very similar to his mother. “Honey, this is our daughter. Wake up, yes, he asked to be carried with you.” Fahad. Andi looked on with a piteousness. Nayla's heart rate is getting weaker, only God knows how Nayla's story ends. “Honey, wake up. Look, our daughter is very pretty. I can't take care of him alone, I need you. Our daughter needs you. Andi needs you too. Wake up, I beg you to wake up.” The tears came back. Fahad heard Nayla's heartbeat sound that was slowing down. “That dream will not come true. Won't!” Fahad convinced himself.

The little baby was crying, Fahad was holding her. Tried to calm him. “Honey, he won't stop crying. Get up, carry her, calm her down, make her stop crying. I beg.” Fahad. The sister asks for the baby, but Fahad doesn't want to give it. Andi leaned against the wall, he resigned. Whatever happened to Nayla, it must be for the best. “Honey, get up, don't do this again. Wakeup!” Fahad yells.

The doctor's admission, pulse and Nayla's heartbeat didn't work normally. “Pak, please come out for a while, I will check on Ms. Nayla.”

Still carrying his daughter, Fahad did not move from his place. He forced Nayla to wake up. But all in vain, Nayla still did not open her eyes. The sisters forcefully snatch the baby from Fahad's hands. Andi approached her sister-in-law, asking her to come out so the doctor could do his job well.

“Fahad.” Ammi comes, along with his two younger siblings and also Mahira.

“Ammi?” Fahad approached Ammi, asking him to sit in a long chair in the deoan of Nayla's room. Fahad wiped his tears away, trying to give a smile to his mother. Fahad recalls Nayla's message, for Tidka to show her grief in front of Ammi. Only happiness can be shown to Ammi, if sadness ... Ammi will also definitely feel sad when she sees her son sad.

Andi who stood at Simalungun door space was furious to see the arrival of the mother-in-law of her brother. If only he did not remember the manners, it was certain that Andi would curse the middle-aged woman. Because the woman's sister was crying, because the woman's brother had to bear all the sadness and disappointment that deep to make Nayla never wake up until now.

“How's Nayla?” Ammy asked Fahad.

“She has given birth, Ammi, but she still has to fight for her life. Since yesterday, he was critical.”

Ammi closed her lips with both palms. Last night, when Yasmin asked her to go to New Delhi, her daughter did not tell her what was going on. Yasmin only said that Nayla had given birth. Yes, Yasmin did not say how Nayla was because Mahira asked her for it. It was Mahir who picked them up at the airport and stayed in his apartment before this morning he drove Fahad's family to the hospital.

A nun entered Nayla's room in a hurry, making everyone there worried. Fahad stood up, he was about to enter, but the sisters prevented him from entering. “Sorry, sir, we are trying our best. So please wait outside.”

“Nayla,” one hand is at the door, Fahad remembered his dream last night. Banging loudly, Fahad reassured himself. That it was just a dream, just a sleeping flower.

“Kakak.” Yumna approaches Fahad, touching Fahad's shoulder.

Fahad turns around, he finds Yumna crying and asks what is going on, asking if Nayla will be okay. Fahad nodded, he tucked some of Yumna's hair children behind his ears. “Your sister-in-law is fine.”

Yumna got into Fahad's arms. He cried sobbing. “She's my sister-in-law, she's mine. Sister Nayla doesn't go anywhere, does she?” tanyakanya.

“He doesn't go anywhere, he will stay here.” Fahad clutched tightly to his sister's trembling body. Look, Nayla, many love you. Please don't go, stay here with us. Fahad's mind is very sharp. Many were crying for Nayla, but these tears were not comparable to Nayla's tears all along.

“Fahad.”

Fahad took off his arms from Yumna. He approached Ammi and sat beside her “Ammi, Nayla is a good wife. She also helps the good, who always told me to go and remarry.” Fahad can't hold back anymore. After all, Ammi was wrong to tell her to marry again. “He who prepared all my needs to go to Kashmir, he who never tired of me getting married again, he who said that I must obey Ammi, he who always reminds me ... never make Ammi sad and disappointed.”

Ammi looked down, she was crying. Realizing his mistake all along.

“Yesterday, before giving birth, she still had time to ask me to leave. He also apologized on, Ammi.” Fahad Imbuh.

Fahad looked at Ammi full of question marks. “Meanourself Ammi? Ammi said what about Nayla?”

The ringing of the phone forced Nayla to get out of her bed. Picked up his cell phone that was still lying on the sofa table. Hannah's name is on there. Nayla wonders, has Hannah called her at night?

“Assalamu'alaikum.” It was not Hannah's voice that answered her greeting. Except Ammi.

Ammi's angry. He scolded Nayla who he felt had made Fahad forget his duty as a child. Ammi accuses Nayla of detaining Fahad from coming to Kashmir and remarrying.

“Ammi, Fahad must have come to Kashmir. Fahad must have married again. Tomorrow morning Fahad will definitely go to Kashmir.” Nayla convinces Ammi. Although he is not sure, if Fahad will go and get married again. It was okay, she would still try to force her husband.

“If Fahad doesn't come and remarry, Ammi won't forgive you, Nayla. Ammi will not forgive you. You have taken my son, you have kept him away from me.”

Oh my God ....

Fahad didn't think it through. Why would Ammi say such a thing. “Ammi, Nayla never held back or snatched away from, Ammi. He even chose to step down and let me remarry. What, Ammi, still thinks that Nayla took me? Nayla keeps me away from, Ammi?”

Ammi looked down, she was getting sobbing. “Pardon Ammi, Fahad. Ammi is guilty.”

Fahad tried to hold back. He felt very angry, but his wife's words continued to ring in his ears. “Have it done, don't apologize. Ammi, not wrong.” Fahad hugged Ammi from the side.

Ammi shakes. He admitted his mistake. “As a parent, Ammi should be wiser. Ammi should understand you and Nayla better. Ammi was wrong, Ammi admitted wrong.”

Kissing the top of his mother's head, Fahad couldn't possibly blame Ammi for his words anymore. As a child, he should be able to better understand Ammi's mood and thoughts. Now, the most important thing is that Ammi has realized the mistake of the wedding plan—also the thought that Nayla is not a good daughter-in-law. Fahad is grateful for that. But all of that is not finished. Nayla is still being treated by a doctor.

“Darling, please hold on. I beg. Don't let the dream come true.”

Andi was still standing next to the ICU room door. He did not care about Fahad and Ammi—ia did not understand Kashmiri. The doctor came out, with a disappointed and sad face, saying that Nayla's body now depends only on tools. The intense bleeding completely drained everything in Nayla's body. Including, a sense of passion for life. There was still no response, just a tool that helped Nayla keep breathing. The doctor handed over all the decisions to Fahad. Remove, or keep installing assistive devices.

Not answering the doctor, Fahad barged into the ICU. He approached Nayla, scolding his wife who never opened his eyes. “You are selfish, how much longer are you selfish like this?! You want to leave me? You can't decide all this by yourself.”

Andi comes in, he stands watching Fahad trying to wake Nayla up.

“You don't feel sorry for our son? He needs you, Nayla. You can't go by yourself. I don't give you permission to leave. You can't go. Come, wake up, wake up ..” Fahad was sitting limp, the tears he could no longer bear. So hurt. He was unable to make the decision to keep installing or removing all the tools. “Wake up, honey, keep your promise to keep going with me. Keep all your promises.”

Andi approached Fahad, he wanted to invite his brother-in-law to come out. He knew Fahad was very hurt. But all this is fate, it's all written. No one knows when someone will be asked to die. Although it hurts, Andi tries to make everything clear .. There must be something good and beautiful behind all this.

“Andi, wake your brother, wake him up. How could he leave without my permission? How could he leave us all? I don't give her permission to leave, she has to open her eyes. Must!”

“Fahad, relax. Maybe it's time, let Nayla go. Allow him to go.”
