Chapter 109

“Where are Andi's wounds?” Fahad asked. He received a cup of tea that Nayla gave him.

Putting a tray on the sofa table, Nayla again approached Fahad on the bed. “I've bandaged. Sorry Andi, Fahad.”

Fahad. He put the tea cup on the nightstand after sipping it a little. “He's not wrong, I deserve this.”

Fahad said what made him able to be with Benazir at the restaurant. The girl came to New Delhi and contacted him. Fahad could not bear it if Benazir was in New Delhi alone. Benazir is 20 years old. As a brother, Fahad felt a responsibility to Benazir. There was no choice, Fahad had to pick up Benazir at the airport. Though in his heart he ceaselessly cursed at Benazir. That girl is so desperate. Fahad has tried to give an understanding, that there will be no marriage. Fahad did love Benazir, but the affection was no more between brother and sister. Rarely meet, distant brother .. but still brother. Fahad can't cross that line.

“You're right, really. Don't leave him alone in this town. I'm not angry, you should try to get closer to him. So that you—”

“Nayla!” Fahad Tukas. “Already, do not continue the sentence. Until whenever I do not want to marry him or anyone else.”

That's not possible, Fahad, you must have married her. Nayla. He strengthened his own heart, so that he could wait another month. After that, it will all be over. The story between him and Fahad will be finished.

“Honey, I want to tell you the same story. It's about Mahira.”

***

“Bu, wait, I told Mr. Fahad first if—”

Mahira doesn't care about Alina, all she wants is to see Fahad. Her ex-husband. Opening the door very hard, his eyes stared intently at Fahad who was shocked at his arrival.

“Pak, sorry, I've tried to stop it. But ..”

Fahad nodded, asking Alina to come out and close the door of her study. He stood up, approaching Mahira who was standing while clenching his hand. “What do you need?” ask Fahad.

Not answering, Mahira slapped Fahad's left cheek.

“Mahira!” Fahad.

“What, huh?!” sulcan Mahira. “Leg loser! Weak!” he pointed at Fahad's face. “Stupid basis! Why are you quiet, huh?! You've been making Nayla cry for so long. Married to Benazir? You're crazy!” mahira's voice filled the room. He could not bear it after knowing what had happened. He is still on good terms with Aunt Farida. From the woman, Mahira gets shocking news which of course makes her angry. Calling, pretending to ask Fahad, Mahira easily got information about the marriage. In fact, Aunt Farida also invited him.

“That's my family business, you have no right to interfere.” Fahad was not angry. Even if Mahira would slap him again, or whatever. Again, he felt he deserved it. Because his own wife never does anything.don't slap, just mad not. It hurt Fahad. He hoped Nayla was angry, venting all her anger at him. But, in fact, not. Nayla was silent and smiling. A smile full of wounds that also hurt his heart.

“She's a good woman, Fahad, she's pregnant. Why are you quiet?!” again, Mahira shouted. “If it ends up like this, why did you marry Nayla?!”

Fahad sighed, forcing Mahira to sit on the sofa. “Listen first, I tell you everything the same as you.” Fahad gave Mahira a glass of water. However, the woman refused harshly.

“You know, right? That Nayla ever miscarried?” fahad's question was answered with a nod of the head by Mahira. “Nayla took my promise, she asked me not to tell Ammi about it. Nayla does not want Ammi to be sad. I want to tell Ammi all that, but Nayla still forbids me. I can't do anything.”

“Now what do you want to do?” ask Mahira. He saw the eyes full of sincerity from Fahad. He knows, Fahad is not a man who easily toyed with women's feelings. While still together, Fahad can respect her as a woman and a wife. The marriage made the two take time to get to know each other and adjust. Fahad didn't touch her before he let her.

“I love Nayla, I don't want to separate from her. Me, Yasmin and Yumna still try to convince and give understanding to Ammi, if only Nayla is best for me and my children, also for the family.” Fahad. There was a sigh of fatigue from him, but .. recalling every moment he was with Nayla, with the child still in the womb of his wife who he always spoke with ... Fahad won't give up. He was determined to fight for his home. “I and Nayla are indeed different countries where there are definitely cultural differences and ways of thinking. But I'm sure we can overcome that difference. Me and Nayla can.”

Patting the back of Fahad's hand, Mahira encouraged the man to continue to fight for his love, a sign of fatigue. “I'm trying to be sure, trying to believe in you. I hope there's no more marriage, just you and Nayla. I will definitely help you.” Mahira said with complete confidence.

***

“You're not angry, are you? I told you everything was the same Mahira.”

Nayla shook her head, “the important thing is that you don't tell anything about Ammi. I still keep your promise about it.”

Fahad nodded in understanding. His hand touched Nayla's stomach, he spoke. “Sorry papa, Jaanu, all day you have to hear quarrels and cries. Sorry papa.”

“I'm strong, really, Pa, don't worry.” Nayla said, imitating the voice of a child.

Fahad pulls Nayla's body into his arms. His wife is both a weakness and a strength. When Fahad felt tired of the rigors of life, when he felt that no one could understand and understand what he needed without speaking ... Nayla can always be an encouragement as well as a cure for fatigue. The smile that greeted him on his way home from work, the ever-soothing words of Nayla, Fahad were strong. He could rise because of Nayla.

In addition to the encouragement, Nayla was also his weakness. Every single tear fell in his heart. The woman who became his healer was hurt. Even more painful than he felt. That place shackles Fahad. When he wants to go far away with Nayla, writing his own story, the responsibility as head of the household stops his footsteps. After Abba died, it was he who had to take over that responsibility. Take care of Ammi, Yasmin and Yumna. He could not easily leave them. Nayla .. she cannot, to be unselfish in keeping the woman. Fahad will never give Nayla a farewell. Nayla must remain by his side.

“I make milk first, yes.” Fahad exited the room, he headed to the kitchen. Andi's in there. “Andi, I—”

“Silence. I restrained myself just for the sake of Mbak Nayla, don't force me to do more.” Andi warns. He sipped a glass of water. Putting the empty glass in the sink bowl violently, causing a loud enough sound.

“I make sure, no more weddings. Please once again trust me.” Fahad's voice sounded hopeful. He knew Andi could have kept him away from Nayla. No matter what, her sister-in-law must be ready to do anything for Nayla.

“I want to believe in you, but unfortunately I can't. One more month, I'm taking Nayla away from you. And if during this one month you make those tears fall, I make sure you will not see this world again.” Andi mean. There was no doubt about his words.

Fahad nodded. “Do whatever you want, I accept it.”
