52. Meet Bang John

That afternoon Keyla planned to go see Bang John. After Keyla, only Bang John was most familiar with Shaka, her husband. Keyla was ready to wait for Cindy to come and pick her up. He sat on the porch of his house waiting for Cindy's arrival.

Across the street from Keyla's house, he saw a neighbor who had just moved in. There are some people who are pacing up and down lifting some home furniture from a pick-up car into the house. But Keyla is not so fond of him because at this time he just wants to focus on looking for Shaka. From last night all that filled his mind was about Shaka's whereabouts.

Cindy came by her car shortly. Keyla immediately got up from her seat and got into the car.

"There's a new neighbor, Key?" ask Cindy while glancing at the right house opposite to Shaka's house.

"No idea. I think so," answered Keyla who did not care much about the situation around him at this time.

"You must be really sad, huh, Key?" ask Cindy when she sees Keyla's sad face.

"Udah mengedan. But yes it must still be sad and still confused by the existence of Shaka. It's a good thing that you want me everywhere right now" Keyla replied, forcing herself to keep smiling.

"Key, who's patient. I'm sure we'll see Shaka soon" Cindy said encouraging Keyla.

As long as Cindy was close friends with Keyla, it was only this time that she saw Keyla was so uninspired. His always cheerful face also turned cloudy from grieving.

"By the way, were you at Juan's place? Any word from Juan about Shaka?" asked Keyla who just remembered that Cindy was about to meet with Juan.

Cindy answered wrongly. He was afraid Keyla would be even more sad if he knew Juan or Hendry was not involved at all in the loss of Shaka. But he also could not lie to his best friend.

"Sorry, Key. It turns out Juan doesn't know anything about Shaka's departure. He said Hendry didn't know about this either" Cindy replied, which made Keyla sigh heavily.

Soon they arrive in front of the office where Shaka used to work. Keyla and Cindy got out of the car and went to the office. Thank goodness the person they were looking for was there.

"Bang John!" call Keyla when she sees Bang John fiddling with his phone while standing at the door.

"Eh, Keyla, right?" Bang John forgot to remember the face of Keyla that he had not seen for a long time.

"How are you, Keyla? Where is shaka? He's still sick, huh? I'm sorry, you haven't seen Shaka yet. There's still a lot of work. Maybe Saturday you'll be there if Shaka hasn't gone to work yet" asked Bang John.

Keyla and Cindy looked at each other. Bang John doesn't seem to know about Shaka at the moment. Yesterday when Shaka did not go to work, he reasoned that he was sick, not because he was beaten.

After being next to Cindy's car, Keyla began telling Bang John the real story. This time there was nothing Keyla could cover up. He tells how Shaka was able to get into the hospital until finally Shaka just disappeared from home.

Bang John who heard that was of course very surprised. She did not expect Shaka to be beaten and now leaves Keyla.

"I don't know where else to go, Bang. I wish Bang John was Shaka's only friend" Keyla said softly.

"Yes, Key. Shaka rarely hangs out with others. She never saw him hanging out with his friends. He just works every day and then comes home to rest. Brother also actually knew Shaka only a few months ago as well, Key," said Bang John.

"Multiple month? Does Bang John know where Shaka lived or worked?" ask Keyla curiously.

Keyla felt more curious about the figure of her husband. He had just thought during marriage he did not even know at all about Shaka's family, especially his parents. It felt like there were a lot of awkward things in his head about Shaka.

"You have patience, Key. Brother will try to help you find Shaka. You don't worry! I'm sure you'll be together again" said Bang John, trying to cheer Keyla up.

Keyla and Bang John exchange mobile numbers. After that Keyla and Cindy returned home without bringing any information related to Shaka's whereabouts.
