49. Bitter Memories on Shaka's Birthday

Keyla who was still sitting limp on the sofa tried to call Shaka back. The result is still the same. The answer is still the mobile card operator.

Keyla couldn't stand her tears anymore. He immediately cried when his umpteenth call was still not connected with Shaka.

“Shaka, where are you, anyway? Please don't stay on my own! Didn't you promise to be with me no matter what the circumstances? Where are you now?” Keyla had a dialogue with herself.

Keyla had no idea where Shaka was going. He wanted to call Cindy for help, but it was night. It doesn't feel good to always bother Cindy.

Is it possible that Shaka was kidnapped by Hendry's men? But why did Hendry kidnap Shaka? After all, when Keyla came home, the state of the house looked very neat. Even the front door is locked. There was no way there was a kidnapping in his house. Plus the house where they live in adjoining the house of another neighbor. If there is an incident, surely the neighbors will know it.

Where did Shaka go? Does Keyla have to go out to see Hendry to find out where Shaka is? Nah! It's called surrendering itself to the crocodile's mouth. Keyla wouldn't do that. Keyla is confused as to where to find Shaka.

Or maybe Shaka gave up on living with him because of pressure from Hendry? I don't know. He is confused by what happened to Shaka. Shaka left without leaving any messages to her.

Keyla saw the box containing the cake that he had painstakingly ordered specifically for Shaka. His heart felt very sad because suddenly Shaka was not around. Last afternoon she was happy not to play because she was going to celebrate her husband's birthday together. But if Shaka isn't around, what does he want to celebrate?

Meanwhile in a spacious and luxurious room, there was a man standing in front of the window of his room. The man seemed to be thinking of something. The man is Arshaka Mahendra who is now in his home in another city different from Keyla.

Tok to tok.

The sound of her bedroom door being knocked. Arshaka did not react. He just stared at the night sky. Before long a middle-aged woman entered the room. That woman was none other than Arshaka's mother.

“Arsha...” call her mother.

Arshaka is not bullying. He just stayed in his position.

“Arsha, dad is already waiting downstairs for dinner. Let's go down and eat together,” invite the mother who is now standing right next to him.

“I'm not hungry, Mom. Mom just ate with dad,” subtly reject Arshaka. He did not look at his mother at all.

“But you also have to eat. You are also in recovery after being discharged from the hospital kan.” His mother still tried to invite Arshaka to eat together.

Arshaka looked at her mother. “Bu, I can't eat while I don't know my wife's fate there. I don't know if he's eaten anything yet,” said Arshaka with his shoulder face.

“So you still think of that woman?” ask the mother.

“Woman is my wife, Mom. I married her. If it wasn't for his safety, I wouldn't have possibly abandoned him" Arshaka replied earnestly.

“But mom and dad will match you with Silvy, not that woman.”

Arshaka turned his face away. He is lazy to discuss his matchmaking while he already has Keyla as his wife.

“I came back here to fulfill my father's wish to take care of his company, not to remarry anyone. Please understand me, Mom. I've been tortured enough to part with Keyla. Don't torture me continuously like this!”

“He won't come down?” ask Arshaka's father when he sees only his wife sitting at the table.

“He doesn't taste if there's no wife. It seems like Arsha really loves that woman, Mas,” replied her mother.

“Let him be like that first. We've seen it in a few days. How much love he had for that woman,” said Arshaka's father.

“Indeed Mas agreed Arsha with that woman?” ask Arshaka's mother.

“Depends on how Arsha behaves going forward.”

“But what about Silvy?”

“I want Arshaka back home so he wants to be in charge with the company. Not taking care of the match.”

Arshaka's mother grunts. He wants Arshaka to return home and continue his match with Silvy, not just take care of the company. He also does not want to have a daughter-in-law who is not equal to his family. In his eyes Silvy in the woman who is most appropriate for Shaka.

"No, don't talk about it now. I'm already hungry. We can discuss that later," said Arshaka's father who did not want any more objections. If so, his mother did not dare to speak again.

The clock kept turning nonstop. Soon the day will change. Keyla was still faithfully sitting on the sofa looking at Shaka's birthday cake which she had lit her candles on. In his heart he always wished for Shaka to come home and celebrate his birthday together.

Ding ding ding

The wall clock was showing at exactly 12 p.m. And it turns out that Shaka never went home.

Tests

Keyla's tears just fell without her being able to stand it. Shaka won't be coming home that night. I don't know how long he'll have to wait for Shaka to come back with him.

Keyla came closer to Shaka's birthday cake and blew the candle out until the fire went out. The fire may be extinguished, but not by his over-loving love for Shaka.

“Happy birthday, Shaka. Wherever you are now, I always say’a so that you are fine and we will be together again to continue our household,” said Keyla with a trembling voice holding back her sobs.

Elsewhere, Shaka lay facing the ceiling of his room. His heart was filled with a passionate longing for Keyla. He knew it was his birthday. He even remembers what his biggest wish was on his birthday. But now, they were instead separated by the distance that spanned. These are really bitter memories on his birthday.

Shaka closed his eyes for a moment so that a clear liquid came out from the corner of his eye. He misses his wife. Just a moment apart it feels like he has lost the spirit of his life. He realized more and more, he had fallen in love with Keyla so that when they separated, his heart felt bitter and very longing.

"Key, wait for me to come home and pick you up. I'll come back to you, Key. We'll get back together and get on with our household."
