Gide Promise

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Gide who had just returned home from the office saw Rachel coming back moody as before.

"Hiks hyks hyks" the young woman now cried sobbing.

"Rach?" he was confused because the wife who had been cheerful and normal like the days before the tragedy, this afternoon was sad again.

"I failed hiks's sister" her body trembled violently.

"Rach" Gide who did not know what to comfort his wife in any other way then chose to hug her and stroke Rachel's head.

"I couldn't enter an international hip hop competition because I was pregnant with a hyx" she cried.

"Your pregnancy is only temporary, in a few months everything will return to normal, you can join all the hip hop competitions that exist" Gide tried to encourage the wife.

"But this competition is different, it's an international event, not every time it's held, it's only going to be at certain times!" Rachel grew hysterical when she recalled her failure, even before she started it at all.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Gide now feels so guilty for impregnating Rachel.

"When I don't let you go to the villa, or prevent you from eating the food, or don't propose that you rest in the room, maybe none of this will ever happen. I'm so stupid, Rach, I'm sorry!" Gide really felt like a loser who had ruined Rachel's life.

"I'm sorry Rach" the man was already unable to hold back the emotions he had been craving all alone. He squirms at Rachel's feet to apologize from the woman he's ruined his life for.

"I don't know how to make up for all this wrongdoing by Rach, I'm so guilty of you!" Gide sobbing.

"Don't wake up" Rachel tries to pull Gide back to her feet but Gide refuses.

"I'm sorry Rach" is just an apology that Gide repeatedly said to his wife to ease her guilt.

Kakkk" Rachel who was confused then gathered together and looked at Gide's desperate face.

He only realized that actually all this time Gide also felt devastated as he was, but because the man was very good at covering all his feelings, so it was as if Gide looked ordinary in his eyes.

"I promise after this baby is born, I'll take care of our divorce papers and you can achieve all your dreams Rach. I'll take care of him myself until he grows up, so you don't have to worry. But please be patient for a few more months!" finally, after some time of careful consideration, Gide then ventured to express all this.

"Sister!?" Rachel was surprised by Gide's words, all this time she had never thought that far. Although he is not currently ready to marry Gide, but that does not mean he wants a divorce between them after everything happens.

For a long time the two sat together on the floor in silence with their minds until the sun completely sunk and their room became dim because there was only a bias of garden light that entered through the gap room window.

"Now that you rest, I will have the waiter prepare dinner for you" Gide, who had returned to full consciousness after his long daydream, said, standing up and leaving Rachel, still shaken by her husband's words about their divorce plans after the baby's birth.
