Longing Memories
Flashback #1

"Mas Dedi!" From a distance the voice of a woman who was calling her lover's name. The man was in the middle of a rice field owned by residents who paid his services to help take care of the rice fields owned by the residents.

His name was Dedi Firmansyah. A hard worker who comes from a simple family. The parasites are handsome, with a tall body strapping and also the muscles of the arms that look sturdy further add to the masculine impression that is in the man.

From a distance, Dedi saw the woman was walking towards him while carrying a bushel containing her lunch. It has become a habit of the woman who always brings lunch to her future husband so as not to starve while at work.

"Tumben you've come at this hour, huh?" Ask Dedi to the woman who turned out to be named Asih.

Asih simply smiled as he replied, "yes, I miss Mas Dedi."

Dedi could only smile at the reply from her lover. He then went to the fountain near the rice field to wash his hands and feet, while Asih prepared lunch for Dedi in the rice field.

"Mas, the father of nanyain mas continue, he said when would Mas Dedi want to come home to propose Asih?"

"Sabar ya Sih, this mas also again mengumpulin money for capital we marry later. I don't want to when mas proposes to you later, I don't bring anything to send to your family." Answer Dedi explained.

"Mas, Asih had told Mas Dedi that Asih did not want mas to feel burdened for the delivery problem, after all Asih had never demanded anything to the mas. Treasure can be found mas, Asih only need seriousness mas to propose Asih."

"Serious with our relationship, huh. Love and love are with you. Please don't hesitate over our relationship."

"Sih never doubted the same, let alone the same relationship we have. Believing the same. Wait until you're really ready to meet mom and dad at home." Say it while smiling.

Do not feel the provision of lunch that Asih brought had been exhausted without rest. Asih then cleaned up the leftovers and put them back in the bushel, after which he said goodbye to go straight home.

While Dedi the pujaan heart, continuing his work again take care of the rice fields owned by one of the landlords in the village.

It did not feel the time had shown at 16:30, Dedi immediately finished his work planting rice and after that cleaned himself, then immediately went home.

Along the way from the rice fields to his house by bicycle, several times he was seen greeting villagers with his distinctive smile. While pedaling a bicycle, there was a voice of a man calling his name.

"Basedi!!!"

Dedi stopped his bike and looked towards the sound of the call coming from him. It turned out that the one who called was a neighbor next to his house who also happened to have just returned from his own rice field.

"Why Ko?" Ask Dedi to his neighbor named Eko.

"You're looking for the same Juragan Slamet, the man who was the manager there who went to your nyariin house, but because you didn't have the nitip pesen to your mother's father." Answer Eko explained.

"Well, what's up?"

"Don't know, maybe you want to ask for help to take care of one of the rice fields." Eko replied back while continuing on his way home.

Dedi also continued his journey home while back pedaling a bicycle. Shortly after, he arrived at his parents' house. He then put his bike in the yard and entered the house by saying hello first.

He does not see his father or mother at this time. Aahh, maybe going to the neighbor's house to help with the preparation of the holiday, thought Dedi. Indeed, there is a neighbor of Dedi's house who will host a party for his son's wedding in 5 days.

After putting his work equipment next to the house, he immediately cleaned himself into the bathroom and then went to the dining table for lunch.

At night, his father and mother were also in their old house. The three of them engaged in a slightly serious chat for the future of a Dedi.

"Alhamdulillah good sir." Answer Dedi briefly.

"When do you propose to her? Don't be in a relationship too long unclear like this, son, no good, fear there will be slander." Say Mother gives advice.

"Dedi really wanted to propose to her as soon as possible, ma'am. But Dedi also still want to collect the cost first so that the father and mother do not have to help finance the wedding Dedi later."

"In, you're the only son of a father and a mother. I don't care if I have to spend money for your wedding later. You have savings, and that's enough for your wedding expenses even if it's just a simple party you can make."

"Don't sir, the savings are for father and mother only. Dedi did not want to trouble father and mother. Already, let Dedi take care of everything. Just a little more."

"Yes, then. Let's eat first. I've prepared dinner." Take the mother to her beloved husband and son.

*******

The family was gathering for dinner together in the kitchen of their land-based home. It looks like the mother's cooking is very evocative of their appetite even though only with a simple side dish.

"Oh yeah, I forgot, there was a guy from Juragan Slamet who came looking for you." Mother told Dedi.

"Yes ma'am, earlier Eko had told Dedi on the way home earlier, he said he saw his man who was the nurse of Dedi nyariin but because Dedi had no future to his mother's father. What's wrong, ma'am?"

"There's nothing, just want to give the job to you but the problem is whether you are asked to meet directly with the coach." Answer father.

"Yes sir, tomorrow morning Dedi went to his house directly. If now to his house is not good it's a kemaleman."

"Yes Di."

After finishing dinner, Dedi continued his special work he did at night, which was to look for eels in the fields. If the catch is a lot he will sell, but if only a little he gets then he made it for side dishes at home.

Not just focused on one field. However, he scattered to find eels from one rice field to another owned by residents in order to get the number of catches as he wanted.

On the way to the rice fields, he met a group of young men who are famous as village thugs are cool drinking liquor until some of them are drunk.

"Here, get together with us-we!" Invite one of the young men who looks like they have started getting a little drunk.

Dedi just smiled and waved as he passed away from the young men.

Arriving at the first rice field, the atmosphere still looks a little crowded and there are some people who are also looking for eels like him. Well, many people, if the way is just a little dapet deh eelnya.. He also went to the next rice field which was located quite far from the first rice field.

Along the way to the intended rice field, the atmosphere felt a little gripping. Accompanied only by the moonlight and the torch in his hands that had not yet ignited the fire, Dedi walked with a slightly beating heart fast.

He felt that it was like someone was following him from behind but there were no footsteps from the person. He stopped his steps and turned back, no one was there.

While praying in his heart, Dedi continued his footsteps to the next rice field.

In the silence of the night, he walked only accompanied by his work equipment. Without him noticing, there was something that would block his path ahead and prepare to pounce on him…
