Life is a Fight
Applying for a Job

A week has passed without any activity. Umi was devastated by the events that had befallen our family.

Syafira and Syakilla were reluctant to continue their education. They were just silent and silent in the rented house which was only one room.

Izar looked at his wallet, there were only three pieces of money a hundred thousand. While the ATM is empty, there is only fifty thousand rupiah left as a settling balance that cannot be taken. He could not remain silent any longer because he had to meet the needs of Umi and her sisters.

Thankfully, his home was very strategic. Only walking about fifteen minutes from the contract there is an industrial area that rows many factories there.

Izar got up from his seat, fixed the glove he was wearing and took the jacket. Not to forget he slipped his wallet in his jacket pocket.

"Where is Izar going?" tanya Umi saw her son was getting better.

"Izar wants to go to photocopyan, Mi. Want to make a job application," he replied back to sit hugging Umi after seeing the look on Umi's face that did not want to be left behind.

"Let Umi work, Mas, Mas Izar just go to college" he replied in tears.

"My dear, don't cry anymore. Izar was sad to see Umi's tears every day," she said as she pressed her lips against Umi's cheeks.

"Mas" called Umi as Izar moved back.

"Home at home, Izar not long,"

"But Mas, let's just Umi," he said still staring intently at his son.

"Umi find Ijasah Izar at SMK time yes, Izar wants to go to the bathroom for a while," he said as he entered a small room in the corner of the rented room.

Umi sighed, she obeyed her son. He himself was confused. His age is no longer young if he wants to work, his diploma was not able to take when he improved because it was in a state of great quarrel with Abi.

After saying goodbye Izar walked slowly while holding a backpack containing a diploma and several supporting certificates to make a job application. Arriving at fotocopyan, he immediately printed the photo stored in his student account. Then he typed in a job application letter and created a curriculum vitae. His heart was pounding, this was really the first time he would apply for a job. Previously, Umi and Abi always forbade Izar to join his friends working between lectures. Understand Izar has been living all-sufficient so it is clear if Umi and Abi forbid him to work.

But God's destiny no one knows. If this had happened, as the only boy he could not stand still to see Umi and her sisters in a difficult situation. Maybe Umi can adjust the situation but heavy for Fira and Killa who are accustomed to luxury living with all-round facilities.

Izar did not give up, his determination to restore the smile of Umi and her sisters was round. He promised himself he would do anything for them. His ideals as a scholar began this second he also forgot. The hope is only one, to rebuild a happy family even though it is not intact anymore.

He walked home after entering 5 job application envelopes. The plan is that he will find a job tomorrow while contacting his friends who may know the job vacancy.

His steps were slow as he passed the luxurious house he once lived in. Seemed deserted in there, there was only a car parked in the front yard. It looks like the man she called Abi was inside the house considering his car was parked at home.

"Astagfirullahalazim" he said, covering his face with both hands.

His hands were wet after covering his face. The details of tears that had almost never fallen, some time it was easy to drip from Izar's eyes.

Izar continued his journey. It's not in that fancy house anymore. He must forget all about it and rebuild new happiness with Umi and her two sisters, even without Abi.

"Mas Izar," called one from behind.

"Mak Mar," Izar said approaching the middle-aged woman who called out to him.

"Mas Izar how are you? Where do you live now?" ask again.

The woman he called Mak Mar was the one who helped Umi clean up the house and took care of Izar and his sisters since childhood.

"Alhamdulilah, fine. Izar now lives in rented alley 5" he said explaining his residence which was only an alley by his house first.

"Patience Mas, Umi and the sisters are strengthened," he said while wiping Izar's back.

"Mak Mar is still here?" said Izar as he punched the house beside where he stood.

"Some healthy, Mama,?" ask again.

"Healthy Mommy,"

"Yes, Izar went home first yes it was awaited Umi," he said goodbye.

"Be careful, Mas," said Mak Mar as he looked at the back of Izar who was walking away from him.

Izar's heart again cramped thinking of Umi, Syafira and Syakilla. How to meet their needs while they do not have any work experience. Izar was born as the favorite son of his parents. He grew up with all the facilities. And today, if all he ever had was no longer there he was at a loss as to how to remain in such a state.

"Zar, daydream" said one who saw Izar sitting quietly under a tree.

"Eh Mas Huda" he said with a smile.

"I'm concerned that you may be strong" said Huda, a neighbor whose house is only two houses away from where he used to live.

'"Ah yes Mas,"

"Where are you now?"

"Contracted gang 5 Mas," he replied expressionlessly.

"Why are you here?" ask the neighbor for wonder.

"Why is Mas Huda here?" He asked again before answering the question of a neighbor who was older than him.

"Once he looked at Amir, hit his motorbike" he explained to Izar.

"Oh my God, how can you?"

"No wonder, just worked 2 days even sick people,"

"Keep Mas Huda to find someone to replace Mas Amir?" ask Izar.

"Well, where can I work alone,"

"Izar wants Mas, if you can."

"You sure you want such a rough job? It's heavy for people who have never been" he said given how Izar lived at the time.

"Tried first Mas, insyaallah strong. Izar again needs a lot," he replied convincingly.

"How do you go to college?" ask Huda.

"What is important for Izar, how Umi and the younger siblings can still eat and continue to school Mas,"

"Tomorrow morning at 7:40 I wait in front of alley 5 yes," Huda told Izar.

"Yes, thank you very much" he said, looking happy.

They also separated. Can Izar do the rough work that his neighbor said?

"Definitely strong, for their sake," her inner self was convinced while imagining the face of Umi and her two favorite female sisters.
