Even in the morning, I woke up from my sleep routine as usual, I helped Mom prepare her wet cake sales needs. After finishing the Father and my youngest brother leave it to the neighboring stalls. We have no capital to open the kiosk. But I also often help post my mother's merchandise through online.
This afternoon after helping Ib at home, I intend to come to Tika's house. Tika is a little friend of mine now she is working to the capital, I also intend to follow in her footsteps in order to help the economy of my family.
I set foot towards Tika's house which was not so far from my house. Not long after, I arrived at his house.
"Assalamu'alaikum" I said hello as I walked up to my feet in his house.
"Wa aleikum salam" Ms. Tini answered the greeting from inside her house approaching me.
"Eh Kayla, get in Kay!" He said with a friendly smile to me.
"Yes ma'am, just outside. I'm gonna need a minute with Mom!" My speech.
"Oh, so please sit down!" Tini ma'am let me sit down.
We sat in front of the porch, and I started talking.
"How's Tika Bu doing?"
"Well thank you, Kay! Next month he can just go home he said" said Bu Tini.
"Oh, so did Mom. I'm sorry Mom, can I have Tika's phone number? I want to ask for a job vacancy there, maybe there is," I told Ms. Tini.
"Oh, can Kay. Mom, grab a cell phone first!" Said Mrs Tini. Then he entered his house. I was waiting outside too.
"It's Kay, her phone number!" Ms. Tini also gave Tika's phone number and then I immediately stored it on my phone.
"Thank you Mom!"
"Hopefully there's a job for you there Kay, it's hard to find a job here." Said Ms. Tini praying for me.
"Yes ma'am amen, thank you then I beg you to leave" I said rising from a seat
"Yes Kay, Same!" Said Bu Tini. The middle-aged woman was always friendly to me.
Then I, too, stepped back towards my house. Arriving at home, as usual I was sitting on the front porch while enjoying the cloudy weather seemed to be raining. I intend to contact Tika after the magrib, for fear of interrupting while she is at work.
After the magrib I tried to contact Tika, I opened my phone screen and pressed Tika's name to make a phone call. Not long after that Tika picked up the phone from me.
"Hello!" Sapa Tika's.
"Hey Kayla?" Her speech.
"Why are you?" My toot.
"I thank God Kayla" he answered.
"Sir, is there a job vacancy at your place?"
"You want to go to Kay town?" Ask Tika.
"Yes, it's hard to get a job here,"
"Yes, you've come here first! Coincidentally at my job! There is a new store seems to be in need of employees" he said.
"Yes you have sent your address Tik, later if the day after I go, I will tell you! Thank you Tik!" My speech.
"Okay, same Kay," We ended the phone call.
I'm very happy to hear Tika saying that there are job vacancies there. But I was confused while I only had 50 grand in my wallet. How do I get to the city? It is impossible to ask my mother, the answer is certainly not there. I also intend to borrow to My Brother easily-easy he still has savings.
I tried to ask my brother, thank goodness he was willing to lend me the money. Only a hundred thousand. Nothing, what matters is enough for me to get to town.
"Mom tomorrow I'm going to the city" I said as Mom was tidying up the cake she had just made.
"As far as Kay is concerned, I can't ban her. Even if I forbid you must still go," From my mother's tone. He seems disappointed in me. Because I don't want to marry Mr. Permadi.
"Are you sure Kay?" Follow my father who just finished praying.
"Yes sir, follow Tika. He said there was a job opening. It's hard to find work here sir" I replied.
"Well, what if you're sure? You can only pray for you. Take good care of yourself in the city of people!" He took a deep breath as if heavy to give me permission.
"Yes sir" I answered.
Then I rushed back to my room to prepare everything I needed to bring tomorrow.
