Karma 2 (Najwa Humaira)
Chapter 38: Abi's Passage

Amidst his surprise, suddenly there was a hand that patted the shoulder. When he turned his head, "Astagfirullahaladzim, why ngagetin?"

A man with a head covered in white skulls smiled faintly as he rolled his eyes. The man encoded Gala to look towards the figure that had just interfered. As soon as he turned around, the eyes found no trace of the magical creature. Where did the creature go?

Curiosity is increasing but when you want to ask, suddenly there is a voice of someone calling from the direction in a room in front of there. Surprisingly he felt free as if no one was holding his shoulder anymore. Again looking back ...,

"Astagfirullah, why is it so mystical? That was the creature, now the father is missing. Although it is used to contact with creatures. The heart is not safe. Never mind, I should approach the Abil family." muttered Gala while normalizing the beating heart that ran a marathon.

The man's tension becomes his own, while in the other hemisphere. The eyes of father and son intertwined with each other exuding affection. After some time there was only silence, suddenly Abi's hand waved softly asking Azzam to come closer.

There were no words other than the silent gaze of his eyes enduring the pain within his body. All this time, he thought he could hide about his illness but it turned out that fate said something else. The body is unable to withstand the pain that further weakens the body.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Abi. Azzam came to get Abi home. Say, where's that sick?" A soft touch embraces the wrinkled hands that have been nurturing without caring about the scorching sun.

Do not ask how he felt when he saw the condition of his beloved father was so weak. Especially the life supported by medical devices. The situation is getting worse because the disease can no longer be treated. Short of not knowing that reality. Why does he know now?

His heart regretted having neglected to pay attention to the health of his father. Although he realized Abi hid his illness tightly so as not to interfere with the responsibility of family responsibility. Now the remaining ones support each other in order to get through all the difficulties together.

"Son, don't weaken! Your shoulders are everyone's back, so stay upright with your heart's confidence." A heart-wrenching voice still tried to strengthen the only son.

The limp was boneless when Abi's soft voice greeted his eardrums. The fear that is attacking is trying to let go. The heart tries to accept God's destiny. The dusapnya tubun the father while whispering do'a healing until unknowingly tears fell wet both cheeks.

The soft voice of the melodious holy verse of the Quran ushers in tranquility with soft lips. "Asyhadu an laa ilaaha illallaahu, wa asyhaduanna muhammadar rasuulullah ...,"

The last breath begins to leave the esophagus so slowly. The father had gone home to make a sound from the monitor screen ticking uncontactably jerking Azzam's consciousness. His body staggered backwards, "Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun. Azzam sincerely released Abi as divine destiny. Goodbye, my dear father. You're the greatest man of my life."

It means: "O Allah, forgive, have mercy, set him free and let him go. And glorify his dwelling place, spread him out. And glorify his dwelling place, widen his way, wash him with clear, cool water, and wash him from all wrongs like a white garment clean of filth.

The departure of the father, made Azzam not delay the time. The man took care of the return of the two of them without waiting for the confirmation of the doctors because everything was arranged by the main doctor. The first flight of the same day is an option but given the situation. He deliberately did not tell the people home first.

Eight hours later. The plane landed at the international airport. Where Azzam did not think the hospital had prepared everything once it arrived in Jakarta. Ambulance cars were heard splitting the night road. Flickering lights do not reduce the sadness in the heart of a child who lost a backrest.

"Drink! All day you do not eat let alone gulp a drop of water. Your body needs an intake even if it's just a sip of warm water." A black bottle of drinking water was offered half-open, but Azzam refused to accept it.

"I'm still fine." replied the man, then chose to close his eyes ignoring his well-intentioned hand.
